Really good, and cool to see more card games in a LDJAM! This was a lot of fun as a kind of "push your luck" solitaire. Would have liked to see more control or ways to manipulate the stacks when you get a bad draw, like splitting or rearranging or something. Nice job, and it's hard to get a card game that feels complete like this in a short time!

I'll start off by saying I'm a big fan of solitaire games (the Zachtronics solitaire collection has a LOT of playtime on my Steam account!). So I grabbed a deck of cards and played this for a while. Once I got the hang of it, I was really impressed with the depth of strategy required for successfully playing. If I have a stack that's looking promising but the top card is a Jack, do I roll the dice and try to add another card, or do I play it safe and harvest it to avoid defeat? I am apparently a bit too risk-taking for this game because my high score was only 5 (I had a 7-stacker sitting in my active crops when I lost, ugh!!). I have a bit of feedback on the rules: first, I think just picking the top three cards as the active crops and going from there is an interesting variant, that's what I did (it definitely made it harder). It wasn't totally clear to me that the rules were in order. I know that sounds silly, but I thought at first I was just reading a set of mechanics and then implementing them. The game made much more sense once I actually started doing the turns in the correct order. Anyway, great work, and I was glad to get away from my screen for a bit to play an analog game!

@joel-davis Thanks for the kind words. Wanting to push your luck is what I was going for with this game. I had spent some time trying to think of a way allow more manipulating the stacks but unfortunately didn't have enough time to do so.

@kristinamay Have quite a bit of time on the Zachtronics Solitaire Collection myself. The highest score me and the one other person playtesting it was 8. The variant you mentioned is how I originally had it before switching to the picking. Would have some games that ended immediately and this was a way to mitigate that. In the past I usually add an "Example of Play" section that helps explain some things, like strange orderings of things and edge cases, but didn't have the time to do that.

You should include illustrations or photos in the description. It won't be cheating but you will get your 20 ratings faster.

About game itself - it's ok, I've tried it once. Personally I would have made it much more complex with something like random dices and maybe other players but I am not a big solitaire fan, so I am probably wrong.
