Apr 5 19:47:21 Settling On Mars ♥ 3 Cool game! I liked how the building progression kind of acted as an implicit tutorial, and everything seemed very polished. I think some more ways to defend yourself from asteroids would have been nice though, the laser turrets seemed very weak
Apr 5 19:59:17 11m 56s Binner Lady ♥ 2 Had more fun with the tilting mechanics than expected, I think they should be standard in every driving game from now on. Driving felt a little difficult but I guess that's to be expected considering you are in a truck. Was a little dissapointed that you couldn't get out and collect trash manually like in the screenshots. Played for a while but had to stop when a passing car catapulted me out of the game map, which is something I'm sure a lot of binner ladies have to go through in real life.
Apr 5 20:07:30 8m 13s 12 Hours ♥ 1 Like noirox says, it's nice to have a very literal interpretation of the theme, but I was hoping for a little more substance. Some challenge or progression might have been nice. Was suprised by the comedic substance of the game after the rather bleak opening message though, lol.
Apr 5 20:14:28 6m 58s Kalopsia ♥ 1 Triangle attack is cool, I thought it worked really well. I think the map design could have been a little better though, maybe I just didn't use wall-running enough
Apr 5 20:20:50 6m 22s The Beast Within ♥ 2 Great mood, and I liked the concept and art, but I could only get past the first night, so I think some more time would have been good. Also while the colour sceme and camera angle added to the mood it did make it a little hard to play sometimes, at least on my monitor
Apr 5 20:29:53 9m 03s The Cold Night ♥ 2 Nice little game, I liked the fire mechanic and the music. Snowman spawns are a bit over the top but I guess you can mitagate that with the powerups you get. I basically tried to just move in circles and collect as many items as I could, perhaps some obstacles in the game map would helped with forcing players to change up their strategies?
Apr 5 20:37:26 7m 33s CATch time ♥ 5 I liked the graphics a lot, even if the gameplay was kind of simple and didn't relate much to the theme. Some more complexity would have been nice but as it is it's still a nice little game which doesn't overstay it's welcome.
Apr 5 20:42:44 5m 18s I was Reincarnated as a Middle Aged Dad Protecting his Son's Sand Castle ♥ 3 Interesting game, can't wait for the anime adaptation. Unfortunately I couldn't find the sand pile despite looking for a good little while, so I couldn't really do all that much after I had built my initial sand-walls.
Apr 5 20:55:38 12m 54s Destination Station ♥ 1 Fun little game, I liked the music a lot, very trance. The gameplay was pretty fun up to a point but eventually it just becomes impossible and my hand started to hurt from clicking so much... maybae a lower cap on spawn rates would have worked better? Overall though pretty good game.
Apr 5 21:05:49 10m 11s Bear Rescue Force (aka Global Warming Simulator) ♥ 2 Cool idea, there are interesting strategical tradeoffs you have to think about which is nice to have in a jam game. Unfortunately I did find the difficulty to be a little high for me to manage effectively for long, maybe rebalance it a bit? (or I'm just bad)
Apr 5 21:20:01 14m 12s Can't Tax Me ♥ 1 Nice game! I liked the enemy variety and the controls were quite good. I also liked how there was a little bit of a story between the levels. I found it hard to defend against enemies who attacked from below though, I basically had to repeatedly jump at them with my scythe and it wasn't fast enough to be effective, I guess the upgrades help with that though.
Apr 5 21:36:14 16m 13s SwimCity 2000 ♥ 0 Cool water simulation and great mood. Fairly simple game but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy expanding my city and watching my cash money go up. Would be nice to play a post-jam version with more content at some point. I did find the isometric perspective a little confusing sometimes though, especially with the water simulation.
Apr 6 11:45:37 14h 09m Domotichaos ♥ 2 Nice simple little game, movement managed to be a little tricky without being annoying which was nice. Also liked the dancing at the beginning
Apr 6 11:49:50 4m 13s Descending ♥ 1 Interesting concept and nice art, but would have been better with a timer so we could see how long we lasted
Apr 6 11:59:52 10m 02s Sunny-Life Waste Disposal ♥ 1 Really liked the graphics and the scale of the game but couldn't figure out how to play? I couldn't find any garbage to pick up so I wasn't able to repair the crane... maybe I was just missing something?
Apr 6 12:34:33 34m 41s Akashica ♥ 3 Interesting game, I thought it was quite well written and I really liked the premise. I think it could have done with some more options for how to deal with certain scenarios though, and maybe it could have been a little nicer with the checks. It can be a little frustrating to sit there and watch your character lose health over and over without really being able to influence it. Still though it's a nice game and I think a post-jam version with more content would be cool!
Apr 8 19:49:41 55h 15m To Build A Fire ♥ 1 Nice game, I thought the controls managed to be intuitive without being "easy", and I liked the variety of things to burn. The hints at the bottom of the screen were also nice. I wasn't very good at picking things up so I tried to push things around with my hand instead, but the physics were too soft to allow it, maybe that was intentional?
Apr 8 20:03:25 13m 44s The Long Journey Home ♥ 3 Love the art and the mood, but I found the gameplay a little slow and ultimately couldn't make it very far before my boat broke down (reading the comments it looks like I'm not the only one with that issue haha). Also, when I restarted the game over text wouldn't leave the screen which forced me to restart the whole game, which was a little annoying. Still, with a few bug fixes I think this could be a really solid game, so I hope you are able to patch it soon!
Apr 13 16:14:17 116h 10m Fire Escape ♥ 1 Nice game, I think I had a dream like this once. I like all the little lines of dialogue as well. My only real issue is the stair clipping kind of sucks, but maybe that's intentional?
Apr 13 16:20:57 6m 40s Escape from Lluna ♥ 1 Quite a basic game but polished enough for what it is (I like the voice lines in the music also). I think some enemy types or powerups would have helped to give the game some more variety though.
Apr 13 16:28:58 8m 01s Deloop ♥ 0 Nice idea, I liked the concept of your screen slowly being covered as you progress, and I thought the enemy variety was neat. I think there could have been more work done to improve movement and collisions though... maybe for a post-jam version. Also I agree with other comments that the health bar should be moved to be more visible.
Apr 17 14:31:17 94h 02m Faces of the Beast ♥ 2 Nice job, was impressed by the amount of faces you managed to draw.
Apr 17 14:55:50 24m 33s Growing up ♥ 2 Nice game, even if I got stuck in the kitchen a couple times. I liked the art and music, even if there wasn't much gameplay. Like other people have said, sometimes the text goes offscreen with the normal font. @sasquatchbstudios you can press alt+enter in any RPG Maker game to go to fullscreen, though it doesn't "really" change the resolution
Apr 17 15:07:44 11m 54s The Climber ♥ 2 Pretty basic and short game, I think a difficulty increase and a longer level would be beneficial. I liked the rope and ladder system though, they were quite fun to use.
Apr 17 15:24:14 16m 30s Super Mowser Bros ♥ 1 Really nice game which is unfortunately let down by balance issues. Bario is not as good as his real-world counterpart and so cannot get through the castles fast enough to be a real threat, so I was able to just build huge amounts of farms with the odd castle at every screen and get a huge number of troops. Also I found having to drag tokens around when doing things to be a little tedious, I think being able to just click them would have been nicer. Nitpicks aside through, I really liked the art and the gameplay felt very polished, so overall great job!
Apr 19 18:00:29 50h 36m ZombieDefense ♥ 1 Nice concept, I think a post jam version with more management elements and the like would be really fun. As it is now it's still not bad, but it did feel a bit luck driven and the aim of my survivors seemed to be somewhat off. It seems like they get less accurate the closer enemies are (maybe they are targetting the wrong point? I'm not really a Unity expert). Still I thought it was a cool blend of time-based management and real-time survival so overall good job.
Apr 19 18:19:27 18m 58s Housekeep ♥ 1 Nice premise that's decently well executed, I liked the art and music, and moving things around and messing with textures does help to make you feel like you're going insane (I spent a full minute at one point wondering why I couldn't tick off the "clean the kitchen sink" objective when I was in the bathroom so maybe I went a bit insane IRL). I think the game's appeal does wane a bit as it goes on though, eventually you reduce it to just checking every room in the most optimal path possible and the weirdness loses it's effect. Maybe a post-jam version with more events that could happen would be cool?
