Oct 4 16:49:54 Fragile Payload ♥ 1 I almost got to the end but couldn't figure out how to get past that last part with the boosts :P Once you are above a certain speed, you begin to destabilize, right? The exact mechanism took me a while to figure out. I really liked the art, especially the particle and explosion effects!
Oct 4 17:04:15 14m 21s Tower Crawl ♥ 2 That game over screen :D The monsters are super creepy, I like it. I'm not sure how to defend against them though, they just jump over all my defenses. I really enjoyed the building mechanic though!
Oct 4 17:13:06 8m 51s UnderControl ♥ 1 My highscore is 20! Letting the wolves catch up and whacking them just in time is very satisfying :)
Oct 4 17:38:25 25m 19s Fractured ♥ 2 Really hard! Interesting use of coyote time. I don't think I've ever seen it used as a game mechanic like that. I was impressed by the glitch effects, they look really nice One shotting random wizards has never been so satisfying :D
Oct 4 17:46:35 8m 10s Spooky Drive ♥ 0 *Very* atmospheric! I was really on edge during my first playthrough. Those eyes in the rear mirror do their job pretty well
Oct 4 21:36:47 3h 50m Spook It Up ♥ 1 Fun little game! Simple and well executed with great looking art. I had some trouble with the pumpkins in the beginning, they would just roll away with nothing to block them. Wasn't a huge issue though!
Oct 4 21:49:37 12m 50s Randomazer ♥ 2 Had fun with this one! It's difficult to plan a path since all the rooms are moving, which is interesting. And since you need to activate the powerup in each room, you force the player to switch their playstyle constantly. I especially liked the blue VVVVVV-style one. I would consider having checkpoints at each door, but maybe that would be too easy.
Oct 4 22:08:26 18m 49s PTSD Fishing ♥ 2 I am honestly amazed at how polished this game is! The art, sounds, and gameplay work incredibly well together. I actually kind of like the slow pace. It's a fishing game after all, and it contrasts nicely with the intensity of the flashback. Very creative way to poke fun at PTSD tropes!
Oct 4 22:26:57 18m 31s Unstable Piles ♥ 1 Fun idea! I liked that you sometimes didn't know whether you'll get a box or a bomb. There's no obviously good solution in that case, which makes it very interesting. And a little planning ahead can help, by staking superfluous boxes in such a way that they're easy to blow up. It's often easier to simply reload after a mistake though, so maybe recovery should be easier. Great overall, feels polished 👍
Oct 6 14:09:24 39h 42m Horse with a Human Mask on A Tightrope ♥ 1 Phew, finally beat this game. Took me a while. I had a great time though! You really have to learn this game, but it's really rewarding to do so. I feel like the game could have been a bit more forgiving at times, though. A bit more leeway with falling for instance. It would also be nice if the direction of the fist was telegraphed. Everything else is amazing though, the art, the humor, the sounds, the music. The design also feels very elegant, every element seems like it has multiple purposes. Great entry!
Oct 6 14:27:15 17m 51s Tectonicalypse ♥ 1 Beautiful, relaxing little game (despite the subject matter :P). It got out of hand for me for a minute until I figured out how to efficiently level all the cities. The controls feel incredibly smooth -- I think it's because of the camera movement? It definitely fits the game very well. Great entry!
Oct 6 22:30:18 8h 03m Ebony & Ivory Tower ♥ 1 Fun twist on jenga! I would have expected that since the blocks are teleported instead of pulled, the game would be too easy, but the forced color choice and swaying of the tower add a lot of challenge
Oct 6 22:49:53 19m 35s Birdbird's Life Balancing Agency ♥ 1 Very cute, love it :) I was surprised how much I had to juggle the items around. Kind of tense in a good way, and it made the game feel very dynamic with a simple and easy to understand concept. Feels very polished!
Oct 7 14:49:09 15h 59m Tick Away ♥ 2 Well executed, somber atmosphere. The gameplay is simple, but actually compliments the narrative well in my opinion. The cutscenes are beautiful!
Oct 7 15:03:00 13m 51s Trapped ♥ 1 Fun little stealth game, reminds me of the brushfire level in Chip's Challenge :) I ran into a dead end once and it was easier to simply run into a ghost than go all the way back. That can be a valid design choice if you continue to develop the game though
Oct 7 15:17:23 14m 23s The Potion Cellar ♥ 1 I had fun learning all the different potion recipes. It's very impressive that you need almost no explanation on how the minigames work! The pause between recipes and ingredients could be a little shorter in my opinion. I can see potential for some Paper's Please type dilemmas here, or different potion qualities depending on your performance -- I would love to see this expanded in a post-jam version!
Oct 7 15:28:59 11m 36s Horse Rider ♥ 1 I'm a sucker for this kind of low-res aesthetic! Together with the muted sounds and music you've created an amazing, dark atmosphere. I felt kind of drunk riding that horse to be honest, but that's part of the fun I suppose :D Is there any reason not to extend the axe all the time?
Oct 7 16:00:26 31m 27s Pot Shots & Whiskey ♥ 1 Beautiful art! The gameplay is seems complex at first glance, but it's surprisingly intuitive to play. There's a lot going on at a time though, I think some sound effects would help with that. In a way, this feels kind of like a card game in real time :P I love that fog effect!
Oct 7 16:22:59 22m 33s Star Drop ♥ 1 Very relaxing, felt like a Nintendo game in a way :) The restart animation is a little too long for my taste and I had trouble recognizing some of the obstacles because of the background. The music and art is lovely though. I had fun with this little puzzler!
Oct 7 16:34:46 11m 47s P.T. Bone-um's Fabulous Tightrope of Terror ♥ 2 The gameplay itself is surprisingly difficult, you barely have any leeway. That's made up for by the gorgeous art and great music! I was seriously stunned when the game booted up, it's genuinely beautiful
Oct 7 16:51:51 17m 05s Equilibrium ♥ 1 Fun little game :) As others have mentioned, the easiest way to get a high score is to simply spam (AutoHotkey anyone? ;) ) But if you play more calmly it's actually really enjoyable! I also enjoyed the graphics -- they are simple, but it's very clear what's happening, and I like the bloom effect!
Oct 7 17:04:47 12m 56s Astral Collapse ♥ 1 Amazing music! The controls felt sooo smooth as well. I didn't quite beat the game, but I tried multiple times just because it's such a joy to play. I found myself staring at the minimap quite a bit, maybe you want that, maybe you don't -- in case you don't, some directional indicator might be more appropriate. Did I mention the music already? It's just so damn good!
