Very fun game. The atmosphere was soo good, the sound, gameplay and visuals fit together very nicely. Gerai padirbeta :) highscore.JPG

Like the concept of balancing, struggled initially with the controls a bit, but eventually wrapped my head around it. Really tough game, the difficulty is pretty extreme and takes some adjustment for newer players like me. But the aesthetic is really nice, love the colour choices and ambient sounds.

I really, really liked this. Its nice and simple and very fun. Maybe this is something you can refine and port over to mobile sometime?

ikernoya 2021-10-05 00:19

Loved the visuals and the concept of the gameplay, good job!

faby 2021-10-05 13:38

holly molly the art and concept is so good I died a lot at first to understand but it's actually very polished and well made. Super fun and original !

Really good idea and a nice interpretation of the theme! I'm really bad though...

Awesome little game. It gave me King's Field vibes. I once read that berserkers would consume copious amounts of psychedelic substances before going into battle, and from this game it appears that was true. Don't drink and ride folks.

It was fast travel to Valhalla 🤣 Cool game, riding is great idea here

myles-doupe 2021-10-06 03:53

This game is oozing with atmosphere and style. I love it.

peterfiftyfour 2021-10-07 13:01

Love the visuals and audio - I wish I could just ride around and not worry about falling of haha. Was pretty hard to steer between the trees!

brads-space 2021-10-07 13:36

Took some time to figure out how not to fall off, love the art style though!

thewustache 2021-10-07 15:28

I'm a sucker for this kind of low-res aesthetic! Together with the muted sounds and music you've created an amazing, dark atmosphere. I felt kind of drunk riding that horse to be honest, but that's part of the fun I suppose :D Is there any reason not to extend the axe all the time?

lawrence 2021-10-07 16:29

@thewustache thanks! No, not really, you can just keep the axe extended. Not the best design decision.

bruno-molteni 2021-10-07 17:02

Amazing atmosphere and aesthetic! the gameplay was hard but fun!

copito 2021-10-07 17:12

Loved the atmosphere of this one and I definitely felt unstable.

mhorth 2021-10-07 23:37

Aha! We have balance games, we have horse games, and now you have the balance and horse game! I haven't enjoyed many of the games that put instability in the controls, but you did it pretty well! Nice job here.

Thanks for including Linux version as well (I hope more devs will do that as well), but unfortunately it does not work for me. The menu loads, but buttons are all over the place and when the game starts its just black screen with sounds and I die immediately. Specs: KDE Neon (Ubuntu based distro)

From pictures it looks promising though, good luck

pashaloban 2021-10-13 19:21

Cool game

lawrence 2021-10-15 16:18

@mar3k just tested on Ubuntu machine and see the same result. :( Another person previously played this on Arch and didn't have any problems. I think I'll remove Linux build for now

This is definitely one of my favourite games from the jam: Great use of the theme, super nice sounds and visuals which create a mood and complement the mechanics.

I did feel a little dizzy at points, but I had a lot of fun.

There might be a small "exploit" where if you continually steer right, due to the way the obstacles are generated you don't run into any of them - but you can't score this way so not a big deal.

Thanks for making this!

theblindeye 2021-10-21 15:05

I love the idea. Good job!
