May 4 09:38:03 Nuclear Arms 7: Railway to Heaven ♥ 3 Super fun game, funny settings and dialogue, and great gameplay. Cool music and good sound effects. The art style, while not professional quality, also added to the humorous setting. One thing I don't understand though is why the cost of the mystery box was so high, doesn't seem like it'd ever be worth it.
May 4 09:58:10 20m 07s Paycheck to Paycheck ♥ 2 Interesting game, tough choices to make, had fun playing it. Good music and sound effects, created a strong atmosphere.
May 4 10:22:49 24m 39s Who Wants to Be a Vampire's Heir? ♥ 0 Had fun playing this game, it was well written and voice acted.
May 4 16:11:51 5h 49m The Branch ♥ 3 I always look forward to your entries, and this one did not disappoint. Very funny, great voice acting and music. The 3D graphics were great as well.
May 7 16:59:42 72h 47m The Fabulous Wandering of Gorgeous Inconspicuous Piggy Bank 9000: Amazing Pigsy ♥ 0 I really like the graphics, very cute. The music was also good, fit well with the art style. The gameplay seemed interesting, but it was tough to figure out how to play. Here are some tips for improvement: - Some instructions of how to play, at least basic controls. - I'd reduce the running speed of the player and the enemies a bit. - Sound effects would be really nice, esp for picking up and shooting coins, and when enemies attack. - Adjust the colliders for some of the sprites so you can run a bit behind or in front of them, for example you don't wanna collide with the TV's antennas. - On the windows download version I had an issue with clicking the play button, I'm not sure if it took a long time to load(shouldn't at that size) or if I had to click at a very specific point on the play button.
May 7 17:28:46 29m 04s Coin Operative ♥ 1 This was super fun to play, almost couldn't stop playing it but decided to stop at $1. Very creative idea and implementation. Agree with others that it would be better if you could move the camera without holding RMB, and maybe use scroll wheel for zoom. The shooting sound also got a bit annoying when every coin started spamming it.
May 7 17:47:08 18m 22s Million dollar robot: Fear the forklift ♥ 0 The graphics look really good, good music and atmosphere. The controls were not very intuitive for me, couldn't really get used to it. It was cool the way it turned, but it did make controlling it more tedious. It would help if you showed the player which direction they were aiming at while the robot was turning. It's also generally preferred with WASD controls that it's relative to the camera, so that W always moves you in the direction the camera is facing.
May 15 15:40:48 189h 53m One More Drop ♥ 2 Finally got time to play this after you commented on my game a week ago :) - The controls feel good and the mechanics work well. The game felt smooth to play. - The difficulty could have been higher, since the enemies don't shoot you and move fairly slow. The only challenge is making sure you don't accidentally kill yourself by shooting too fast. - The game could have been a bit more zoomed out, couldn't see very far ahead. A minimap in a corner showing rough locations of enemies would be better than having to open/close the map all the time. - I like the art style, its simple but cute, and you had a good variety of monsters. All in all this was an enjoyable game that felt polished and well put together.
May 18 14:55:00 71h 14m Olaf's Adventure ♥ 1 Enjoyed playing this, controls were a bit awkward but the gameplay felt pretty smooth. Could maybe have been slowed down a tad. You had some cool sound effects, but the shooting sound did get a bit annoying after a while. The combat was fun, required good timing on several occasions. Some of the art was really good as well, though overall a bit uneven.
May 18 15:05:51 10m 51s Void 2 ♥ 0 Interesting game. Would have been nice to see the damage my abilities did so I could better judge what to upgrade, and maybe it should have started more gradually with fewer enemies. Its a cool concept choosing between biting and scratching, with a bit more tactical depth it'd be really fun.
May 18 15:17:40 11m 49s We Are Nuts! ♥ 1 Very charming game, with the exception of the platforms the art was really good. Physics were a bit floaty, and double jump not working quite as intended(though it was fun to use it kinda like flappy-bird). The speed boost you got was also a bit high, didn't really make it easier. It was still pretty fun to play though, the first levels could have been a bit easier.
May 18 17:45:43 2h 28m InvestĀ® ♥ 0 Impressive amount of story for a game jam, well thought out plot. A tad long to play through, but still an interesting story. As others have mentioned background music would have been really nice, no sound at all does make it a bit dull. Since the map wasn't really needed I'd have put all the focus on the portraits and the text, making them larger and in the center of the screen.
May 18 18:19:58 34m 15s My Life is Not Currency ♥ 1 Fun game, the camera could be better, but I liked searching for the cereal boxes and dodging the enemies. Learned eventually that shooting wasn't really worth the cost. I liked the music as well, and the character art.
May 18 18:58:22 38m 24s Coin Floor ♥ 1 The graphics are gorgeous, looks great. Didn't really have a way to deal with the enemies, could lock the first ones in, but later there were too many. Could outrun them for a while, but eventually there'd be too many. The AI seemed very simple, simply walking towards your position, a slightly more complicated AI could have opened up a lot of interesting gameplay opportunities. Lack of sound effects would be my biggest complaint, they are very important for giving the player feedback about events.
May 19 09:12:24 14h 14m Jack The Reaper ♥ 1 Really fun game. It got quite difficult fast so it probably could have been tuned a little better, the jumping was a bit weird, but it did make it fun and challenging to play. The graphics were charming, and I liked the retro music and sound effects.
May 19 09:37:30 25m 06s Annabelle & Annabelle Otherworldly Meats ♥ 1 Fun game, very nice art and music. Pretty difficult, you'd get a lot of enemies on you fast, and your gun is pretty weak. The bug where the monsters don't spawn again was unfortunate, happened when I was starting to get a hang of the game. I liked the way the monsters lunged at you, a little different from the AI behavior you usually see.
May 19 10:10:51 33m 21s Love Your Heart ♥ 1 Fun and challenging game, maybe a bit too hard for an LD game. You had a good amount of variation in the challenges you gave the player, more than most LD games. The physics could have been tuned slightly better, in a game that requires so good timing and accuracy you'd want your controls to be very sharp. It was still pretty good though. The art was simple, but the background was really cool. I'd really recommend adding at least a couple sound effects as well, even if they are very simple they add a lot.
May 19 11:49:43 1h 38m Island Chain ♥ 0 Interesting game, I think the main issue is that you don't really have time to make proper tactical decisions, at the moment its just clicking small cities to prevent them from running out of money until some city gains hyperinflation. There really isn't enough time to judge what products are in high demand or supply when you make decisions. I think it would help a lot if you could control the speed, slow down when you want to make tactical decisions and then speed up to see how it develops.
May 19 12:25:27 35m 44s Protector ♥ 1 Very good game, it was fun to play, graphics were great and a lot of good sound effects(though the player shooting sounded a bit weak). The difficulty was pretty well balanced, but it was unforgiving that you'd lose a life from just one hit. The difficulty decreased rather than increase because of how much stronger the upgrades made you, so if you started with for example 5 lives and gained more lives in the earlier levels that would make the early levels a lot easier, but increase the difficulty later as you couldn't buy upgrades that often.
May 19 13:12:56 47m 29s Piggy Bank's Adventure ♥ 1 Pity the game wasn't longer, cause this was really good. Loved the art, and the music was great, among the best I've seen so far. Seems like you had all the components needed for a great game but not enough time to make the actual levels.
May 19 13:32:39 19m 43s Belinda Bloodmage ♥ 1 Fun game. The normal bullets were pretty weak, so had to use the blood magic ability all the time instead. Stronger bullets and a cooldown or higher cost of the special ability might have helped balance that. The art was charming, really liked the characters, the background tiles seemed pretty big compared to the characters though. The music was very cool, but the sound effects a bit weird/awkward.
May 19 13:42:06 9m 27s Mani ♥ 1 Cute graphics, very nice music. You had some interesting mechanics here, like charging up the jump. I'd strongly recommend to use instant jump since everyone is used to it, but it could be interesting to have it as an alternative ability you'd need in certain situations.
