| Apr 23 10:32:14 | Rythm is Lava | ♥ 1 | I quite like this. The mechanics are fun, the art is incredible, and the music and sound effects fit well together. Personally I couldn't get past the level with the invisible blocks, but I may just need to try a few more times ;) | |
| Apr 23 11:38:22 | 1h 06m | Yet Another Turn Based Bullet Hell | ♥ 1 | Overall interesting game, though it feels like it needs some sound. I like how you have to think about which tiles next to you will have a bullet in them next turn, certainly an interesting variation of a puzzle game. |
| Apr 23 11:45:30 | 7m 08s | Scrabble Invader | ♥ 1 | Very nice combination. The sound is pretty good, though a little loud. I like how you've linked Space Invaders (space shooter) to Scrabble. However it feels like you should be able to pickup letters while they're still blue - I accidentally placed an 'L' in the wrong place and couldn't pick it up :(. Overall very good job:) |
| Apr 23 11:58:08 | 12m 38s | Commodore Combat | ♥ 0 | Interesting idea, certainly two themes/genres you'd be unlikely to find anywhere else. The music and sound effects are fun and set the mood pretty well. However I felt like the rooms were all kind of ... same-y. You go in, check for enemies, open crates/take stuff, then leave. Not entirely sure if looking around is related to anything, it didn't feel like it at least. Maybe some more actions and some kind of level map you have to navigate through by knowing what each room looks like? |
| Apr 23 12:12:46 | 14m 38s | Run from the hangman (Renegade) | ♥ 0 | It's an interesting idea, but it feels like it needs a bit more work. While I agree with the people above that waiting for letters is annoying, I think the real problem is that the user doesn't have enough control. I would suggest making the movement closer to the likes of Super Mario Bros where you can move left/right but can't go back. And the platforms should probably be less high up ;). Also, not sure if it's intentional, but you often can't jump when on a platform and you move faster. Though for your first game with a new engine it's not bad |
| Apr 23 13:21:11 | 1h 08m | Painting the Black | ♥ 1 | Interesting idea. Though the controls are a bit difficult to get right, especially having to hold in space first before releasing it and hitting the ball. As above, a lack of sound is a bit of a shame, but it looks pretty cool. |
| Apr 23 13:29:17 | 8m 06s | AstroDeck | ♥ 1 | Interesting idea. I like the sound effects and music, they fit the space theme well. As always I enjoy it a little bit more because it's sci-fi and set in space ;) |
| Apr 23 13:41:52 | 12m 35s | The Cards You're Dealt | ♥ 1 | I loved this. Great idea which was well-executed. I liked the graphics style, and the music gave it a nice medieval feel while also being relaxing. As an improvement I would suggest making some sound effects for playing cards, but even without sound effects it's a great game. Unlike quite a few games I actively want to keep playing this ;) |
| Apr 23 14:13:26 | 31m 34s | PE@CE | ♥ 1 | Awesome aesthetics. I love how the use of text characters to represent images, especially those smoke effects. It's also pretty cool how all the levels can be seen and how you can see that they're linked. The sound effects are very fitting for the graphics style. And I like the little details of how the tiles tiles go red when you die near them ;) As a few others have mentioned above, the respawn timer does seem a little long, and sometimes when you die the falling platforms didn't get reset. |
| Apr 23 14:24:27 | 11m 01s | Flappy Nerd | ♥ 1 | Very fun, interesting how being turn-based changes it. Bit easier than usual flappy games in my opinion, but it's still fun |
| Apr 23 15:02:59 | 38m 32s | Flappy Blocks | ♥ 1 | "This is really remarkably difficult" - Backwards L. . Been looking forward to playing this. From the screenshots in your blog posts I thought "How hard could this possibly be? I mean, it's only Tetris"... what an incorrect assumption. Despite being incredibly difficult, especially once you reach level 4, it is an incredibly fun game, with a very unique and well-executed twist. And the story mode was like the icing on the cake - it kept me playing, for I had to be strong for the Tetronominoes! Well done. |
| Apr 23 15:56:34 | 53m 35s | ASM Hell | ♥ 1 | Interesting game. Was fun to write code in a game, reasonably unusual thing to do ;) The music set the mood nicely aswell |
| Apr 23 16:16:04 | 19m 30s | Space Chess | ♥ 1 | Very fun, interesting game. I like how the controls are simple, and how you need to think about where you want to place your pieces. Overall very enjoyable - looks like a game that'd do well on mobile ;) |
| Apr 24 12:35:37 | 20h 19m | Wreckless Rally | ♥ 3 | Very fun game. The idea was well executed, and has some very nice art and catchy music to go with it. |
| Apr 24 12:55:59 | 20m 22s | Age of Spires IV (Text/Console + RTS) | ♥ 1 | Interesting game. Ended with a score of 318, with 50 farms... though the bots don't really provide a challenge. Don't know if anyone was hosting a server, but I'd recommend making some tougher bots for people who just want to play singleplayer :) |
| Apr 24 13:03:08 | 7m 09s | Pipionem | ♥ 1 | I like it. As the first comment said, it took a while for me to realise that you had to click the button when it said 'Go', and it did feel like the time you were allowed to start clicking felt a bit too short - I often missed attacks. However, the mechanics are really cool - I like how you can charge up your attacks or just do a small attack. And I loved the sound effects, they were great ;D |
| Apr 25 12:06:20 | 23h 03m | Remote Bot | ♥ 0 | LOL! This is fun. But incredibly difficult; I struggled to even get past the spikes on the second platform, couldn't type fast enough :( Great idea though |
| Apr 25 12:37:37 | 31m 17s | Fantastic and dangerous fishing Mr. Goose in the sea possessions of Sir Octopus | ♥ 2 | Cool game. Though it feels like the point at which you can press the key is a bit too unforgiving at times |
| Apr 25 12:48:35 | 10m 58s | BIRKANOID | ♥ 1 | Pretty fun game. I like the sound effects and the graphics. Though the health of the balls wasn't really clear, and when I pressed next level at the end of level 1 it took me to level 1 again. |
| Apr 25 13:04:14 | 15m 39s | Flappy Bird + Tetirs = FLAPTRIS | ♥ 1 | Got a score of 38,460. Pretty cool game, I like it - but the pieces feel a bit loose sometimes. And the capsule mechanic is a bit confusing at times :S |
| Apr 25 20:31:23 | 7h 27m | Furlong Fracas | ♥ 0 | I like this. The were well put together, despite being "placeholder". I liked the mechanics, but it took me a while to understand them... sorta. I don't think I really get it, but it was cool making my horse go 2nd place:) |
| Apr 26 15:39:39 | 19h 08m | Super Slime Slasher Ultra | ♥ 2 | I quite like this. Wonderful art, great background music and sound effects, the voice acting was pretty amusing. Only criticism would be the finnicky mouse controls, but I guess it's designed for controllers so that's fine :Pscreenshot.png |
| Apr 26 15:57:10 | 17m 31s | Boxing Surgery Simulator 2000 | ♥ 2 | Well that was certainly... unique. Funny quotes, great art, and some great audio. |
| Apr 26 16:13:53 | 16m 43s | Oni Hunter | ♥ 4 | I quite liked this. The graphics were great, as was the audio. The mechanics were quite interesting, and there is a surprising number of levels. I struggled on one of the levels where you could be detected while still in ghost strike, because you'd slowly float up into an enemy's view. It certainly made you think a bit when you didn't have enough moves for what you wanted to do - good job :) |
| Apr 27 10:17:36 | 18h 03m | Match Strike | ♥ 0 | As a fan of planes in general, I quite enjoyed it. The controls felt like they worked well (though not sure about X being brakes... hmm), and I liked the mechanic of shooting down the blocks in chains. Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to shoot down the turrets (can you even?). That's a small issue though. The flying felt realistic and I loved the plane model :) |
| Apr 29 18:19:47 | 56h 02m | Astral Fantasy | ♥ 0 | As a fan of Kerbal Space Program, and space in general, I quite liked this. Did feel a bit odd that you couldn't move the camera to see where enemies are - a few times I didn't know where to go. Though I liked leveling up my ship and trying to setup orbits and shooting enemies. Cool game! :) |
| Apr 30 10:53:32 | 16h 33m | Tour de France Legstrong | ♥ 2 | Hah. While the controls felt a bit odd and it felt a bit wrong to use arrow keys+mouse, it was quite good. The idea of the game is funny and I liked the animation of the player frantically cycling. Though it felt like you couldn't really throw properly... water bottles just exploded right next to the player? |
| Apr 30 11:08:19 | 14m 47s | Dark Soil | ♥ 1 | Wow - disappointed I didn't see this sooner. Solid gameplay, great music, beautiful art. Only got to level 45 with 1777 souls farmed, but it was great fun. |
| May 6 21:00:49 | 153h 52m | Vector Rabbits Slayer | ♥ 0 | The lack of audio is a bit of a shame, but that pixel art is beautiful :) |
