Dec 29 03:47:00 Out of Breath Loved the idea and mood. I felt the progression was just right with the metal and oxygen. The lack of orientation when straying too far from the base is a bit panicking but I think it could be improved by adding some variety to the terrain or key landmarks.

Good job! Would love to see more.
Dec 29 04:06:00 19m 00s My Name Is LD-37 Reminds me of those retro point and clicks which always had incredible moods. If this were longer, it could probably achieve the same feeling easily.

Simple but very good (and effective) art, sound and mood!
Dec 29 04:20:00 14m 00s The IT Room Cool particle effects and fun concept :) Maybe a good alternative would be to face the guy upwards when extinguishing the fires instead of messing with animations or rotations.

That is basically a day in the life of a Google datacenter employee.
Dec 29 04:52:00 32m 00s Cardinal Cell This is very nice! I wasn't expecting much but this entry took me by surprise. It's rather addictive and well executed for such a simple concept.

I liked the discovery of new enemies and their mechanics in each new level. I can see the potential for a lot more strategy when taking into account the different enemy attack patterns and armor/stats or even player weapons/equipment, as well as environmental elements.

Btw I'm also loving the new revised graphics! Looks like it's in a good path, but it just seems a bit disconnected from the game's current backstory (which is not bad per se).

It was fun. Well done!
Dec 31 05:55:00 49h 03m I Clean Toilet First of all, awesome pixel art! This game fits the theme very well and feels pretty polished.

I don't know how many levels there are but at 128 tips (when I lost) the game still was progressing at a good pace and the difficulty seemed to rise rather quickly.

I think you could make a bit more obvious the tool you're holding (or the tool the supply closet will provide on next interaction) because they are so small and sometimes can blend with the character when you're focused on all the chaos. The indicators for using the tool are pretty nice and intuitive. Liked the little details on the environment also.

I initially thought you had to repeatedly press 'E' (or Space) because the indicator animation seems to suggest that, but simply holding it worked and was fine. Even so, it could be fun if the key had to be mashed to progress with the cleaning (but I guess you'd probably end up with some broken keyboards!).

Overall, really fun and solid entry!
Dec 31 06:38:00 43m 00s Item Phantom I like it!

Could use a bit more ambient sound as it can take a while to complete. The ghost's movement feels a bit too "floaty" for me but it's manageable. The item interactions feel super nice and it's always a surprise waiting for what will pop out of the box next.

Although being a weird concept it's amazing how it manages to be intuitive without using practically any text.

Also, top mark for graphics!
Dec 31 06:53:00 15m 00s Shadow Fencer Theatre Really interesting art style and funny voices/sound effects (good job on those). Haven't tried it with two players but I manage to win almost every time against the AI usually by simply holding the sword forward. The gameplay is fun though.

This would work very well as a party game because of its short rounds. Nice concept overall!
Dec 31 07:20:00 27m 00s MFBFS Hard game but a lot of fun. The controls feel solid which is a bonus for this kind of game.

The art style is pretty good too. I didn't manage to get to the ending, unfortunately, but it was fun while it lasted. Didn't realise at first I could exit the room mid-battle to heal and upgrade.

Good job!
Dec 31 17:37:00 10h 17m wRoom Cool game. Good effort on making the main menu not static. Driving mechanics work well (maybe a tad sensitive for me) but otherwise it's rather simple and manages to provide a few minutes of fun.
Dec 31 17:48:00 11m 00s The Oval Office Very funny entry. Nice usage of the mechanics for this inspired decision-based game. The options are varied and made me laugh for their simplicity, yet they seemed so obvious (still managed to destroy the world somehow).

Overall good balance and fun!
Dec 31 18:01:00 13m 00s Neon no Nakama Fantastic work on the music and atmosphere. Gameplay-wise, I agree that the movement can be a bit slow and heavy.
Dec 31 18:12:00 11m 00s Beware Of The Spiders Had a blast killing the little devil creatures. Otherwise, it was nice having enemy variety but the difficulty goes up fast. It would be cool to have a bit more to do besides running to reach the spiders in time.
Jan 1 20:45:00 26h 33m One Room Hotel What a neat concept! I can't really find any flaws in this entry. It's simple, fun and well made. Good job on conveying the appropriate information in such low resolution graphics.

Probably one of the best games theme-wise.
Jan 2 02:45:00 6h 00m Arena 3000 I liked it but personally, I'd prefer if the shooting was done independently from the character's movement direction.

Nice effort on the audio effects for just 48h!
Jan 2 03:12:00 27m 00s Cloud Chaser Very interesting and weird concept! I agree the game could be a bit more intuitive regarding the objectives, but it would certainly help if the map were smaller or if we were able to see all the elements and how they relate with each other.

I loved the ship physics and PIP view when travelling. Really adds to the immersion, as well as the music, of course.

Great work overall.
Jan 2 03:39:00 27m 00s BreakAround Cool idea. I didn't try it in VR but I think I was able to experience the game correctly (I played the standalone version). Besides the problems already mentioned, I felt it was a bit hard at times to perceive when the ball was close enough to the player to bounce, and the level may be a bit too large to be able to finish it in one sitting.

A lot of potential for improvement, though. Good job!
Jan 2 04:50:00 1h 11m One Room Dungeon Amazing work. The game feels complete and is very fun to play despite the weird instructions (which I was able to understand).

As always, props for your ability to convey all that information in those tiny sprites and levels. The game sure was hard but I felt that the difficulty was at its peak without being frustrating. When transitioning between levels though, I had some difficulty avoiding damage mostly because of the camera shake and being immediately pursued by the enemies.

All in all, one of the best entries I've played. Good job!
Jan 2 05:08:00 18m 00s Sweet Dreams Nice entry. Although some people having already mentioned it, the character blinking when taking damage was not ideal, at least at that speed. I also feel that the game was too easy (enemies were mostly 1-on-1 battles), but I did not reach high enough levels to see if the difficulty increases.

Otherwise, very cute graphics and mood! Seems rather polished overall.
Jan 2 05:27:00 19m 00s Guns n' Crates Great entry. Love the art and interface. The decision to keep the mechanics simple was a good one and that was probably what allowed you to polish the game as it is now. The download link provided on this page seems to still have the left and right ceiling objects switched when shooting.

Seemed a bit too easy for me, but overall I liked it and it was fun :)
Jan 2 05:36:00 9m 00s Light in the Dark Nice idea. I got a little too confused when trying to remember which action to use for which enemy and that's probably why I died more easily (personally). The bugs I've found were already mentioned by others so I won't repeat them here.

I like the style of the enemies and overall scariness of the game, and those sound effects just make it outright creepy. Good job!
Jan 2 05:48:00 12m 00s Tenement Rush Good job on this entry. The idea is cool and the game has a very relaxing feel to it, which is rapidly overcome by the harshness of the controls. The "absolute" controls (F9) are what made it playable for me.

Overall a fun game!
Jan 2 18:13:00 12h 25m SLIPSTAR This has a very nice atmosphere and albeit being a bit short it has solid gameplay. I liked your weird character/ship models!
Jan 2 18:25:00 12m 00s Feather Gladiator Nice entry. I found it a bit too repetitive but in general it's fun. The blue bar (stamina) doesn't seem to have enough relevance since I can always attack at the same rate.

I liked the sound and humour!
Jan 2 18:49:00 24m 00s Bye. Cool concept. Always nice to see management games on a compo. I would like to see how the game would look with all that UI streamlined and able to see everything at a glance. The mood and humour are pretty nice. Good job!
Jan 2 19:04:00 15m 00s Pinch Fantastic concept! It may have seemed a bit buggy at times and the player's orientation really needs to be fixed but otherwise it's pretty good.

I would like to see some sounds also as I believe it would greatly help set the mood. Great entry.
Jan 2 20:55:00 1h 51m Wall 'em up! Kept me engaged enough to reach a score of 980 but I think the difficulty hit a cap somewhere in the middle. Nevertheless, good job on trying out a simple concept and sticking to it.
Jan 2 22:01:00 1h 06m Hypercell Nice and polished entry. Simple mechanics and a fair test of skill. Good job on the UI as well. I liked it!
Jan 2 22:46:00 45m 00s One Room Kind of two very different minigames in one entry. The first one is more relaxing but still interesting, and the second one was more fun but lacked a real objective (endless survival is ok but it would benefit from at least a scoring system).

Good effort nonetheless!
Jan 2 22:51:00 5m 00s Quest of the Wizard Great use of sound to set the tone and mood of the game, really well accomplished. The gameplay was interesting and had a lot of depth to it.
Had a few problems:
restarting the game wouldn't restart the first sword? I couldn't open the doors after that.
using M1 to open/closing doors as well as attacking got me in a few weird combat situations.

But overall great game.

- jcrmartini
Jan 2 23:06:00 15m 00s Top Down Room Escape Cute little game but could use some more feedback on the user actions. I'm glad that at least I managed to solve all three puzzles!
Jan 2 23:08:00 2m 00s The Outside Within Great mood, incredibly eerie, but then again walking around trying to get to your own severed head will do that.

I know at the end we get a "deprivation tanks are awesome" but after that experience, I am not getting into one so soon. Which really says a lot about how impactful the game is. Great job!

- jcrmartini
Jan 2 23:25:00 17m 00s Fishing Rod 3000 Nice innovative mechanic. Not too hard to understand either after a couple seconds. The planning part can be a bit tedious but if it was done in a more intuitive way it would be awesome and not really take away from the core gameplay, in my opinion.

Great game overall. The penguin slap killed me!
Jan 2 23:26:00 1m 00s Ultimate Hamster Carnage Cool game, simple, but it works very well, the gameplay is fun.
I think there is a moment where the difficulty rises by a lot, maybe too much.
Other than that, it really is a very fun game to play.

- jcrmartini
Jan 2 23:37:00 11m 00s Star Room This reminds me of pacman for some reason. It's a nice twist and it's relatively fun to play. The sound fits perfectly in the mood.

Althogh the graphics are simple, nice job on the effects. I'm a bit divided about the diagonal layout of the level but it adds to the challenge I guess.

Fun little game overall!
Jan 2 23:39:00 2m 00s Decade Great game, great concept.

The only problem I found was the fact that after 2-3 years it sort of becomes an idle game.

- jcrmartini
Jan 2 23:55:00 16m 00s You Have Till 8 Good puzzle game. As almost everyone else, I had no idea about the first number but I felt enough challenge in the remaining ones.

Simple game yet effective for what it does. Has a good tension and mood to it.
Jan 2 23:58:00 3m 00s Open House Great entry in the Ludum Dare, really fits the theme.

Really liked the concept and the mechanics, however I felt like the implementation unfortunately ended up a bit clunky, the interactions with the game felt slow somehow.

The graphics and the sound were on point.

Overall very solid entry.

- jcrmartini
Jan 3 00:35:00 37m 00s Souler Nice idea. Although being a bit slow it gave me time to think. The upgrades are a must though. I feel the interface could also be a bit simpler but otherwise it was fun and different to play. Nice work!
Jan 3 00:44:00 9m 00s Don't Eat My Babies This is a very nice entry! At first it's not obvious there is anything happening but once you discovered it's not real-time it's actually a good thing.

I liked the overall concept and strategy involved in playing this. Pretty unique! Also cool title.
Jan 3 00:53:00 9m 00s radnet Wow this was pretty interesting! I guess it certainly takes the cake for mood because those users felt like real-life assholes. Nice concept idea and unique gameplay. Would really love some audio but it's ok. I know being almost text-based doesn't leave much room for graphics but the little it has it's pretty well made.

Very nice!
Jan 3 01:30:00 37m 00s Stain This Planet With Cosmic Prism What a fun and simple concept! The minimalist graphics and sound really fit together here.

I must admit it got a little too hard rather quickly. I was expecting a more relaxing experience but that's just because I'm tired :)

Adorable entry!
Jan 3 02:00:00 30m 00s OneRoomGuild.org Unfortunately I also wasn't able to play this due to the Unity bug. Tried it on Chrome and Edge. Looking forward to trying it eventually though.
Jan 3 02:05:00 5m 00s RubixRoom Cool concept you have there! Took me a while to figure it out but was surprised when I discovered how to rotate the pieces. The complex controls are a bit unfortunate because otherwise it's a pretty solid puzzle entry! Would love to see some audio as well. Good job!
