I really like the look and the controls are nice and responsive. Fun little game, nice work. I think I saw the movie ;)

this is actually pretty cool survival game! Liked it!

zqmony 2016-12-13 07:05

Good job! I enjoyed playing it several times trying to get better each time.

Pretty neat. Looks like a concept that could be expanded on. The controls are responsive nicely.

mental13 2016-12-13 08:25

Very good survival game. I died a lot, unfortunately.

Despite being a bit slow, I like the game quite a lot ! And I love the graphics !

nikitapash 2016-12-14 13:23

Pretty pixel art

megalink 2016-12-14 13:36

The graphics are amazing! The gameplay and concept is some of the best I have seen, amazing job!!

Very well done! Awesome work with the progression and allowing the character to get further and further from home base. Had to be careful not to forget which direction I came from :P

Thanks for the responses guys :) makes those long nights and days all worth it with your positive comments.

The gameplay merged very well with the game's theme. However, intructions seem to be incomplete, since it was a bit confusing to figure out how to use the metal and the machines inside the base, which are actually pretty core to progressing in the game.
Nonetheless, it was a quite interesting game and got me playing it for a while!

Good job! ^-^

For a game made in 48 hours - it's a masterpiece. 10 deaths from oxygen loss of 10!

shivur 2016-12-16 17:58

Very good game!

A great starting point for a survival game! Having to wait for the rescue ship after placing the beacon was a nice touch! Giving the plants a dual purpose, for harvesting and oxygen was a great idea. With a few tweaks and additional mechanic, such as base management (such as watering the plants, and base building), I could see it becoming something special. (The literal martian :P)

A couple of small critiques. It was too easy to fill the energy (hunger?) meter. Since food is so abundant in the boxes, and you're constantly on the lookout for them, which made the mechanic of eating the plants useless. The chips always spawning in the same location was also odd, since it was too easy to "cheat" and just go on a few suicide runs to find out where they were. As said before, you also forgot to add what the metal did in the in-game tutorial!

Overall, great job! I look forward to where you continue with it!

perfect in almost every way...i forgot how long I was playing this, managed to finish it without dying even once. GREAT JOB

This game is so fun! I think you could add plants improvements to do when you don't know what to do with seeds and also the ability to expand your base or make other ones would be pretty cool.

drury 2016-12-19 03:16

Don't use mediafire pls it has dangerous ads.

sikosis 2016-12-19 03:43

Day/Night cycle was good, so were the controls. Still wasn't able to figure how to get scrap metal back to the base and then things got dark ... and I died.

ryusui 2016-12-19 05:25

Really enjoyed it. I just wish the "loop" felt a little more forgiving - I felt like I was having constant brushes with near-death just trying to explore my immediate surroundings. Thinking the game could be a bit more generous with oxygen. ^_^;

alexanderk 2016-12-19 05:54

Great game! It very fun to play but hard to start playing because hard to understand what need to do and how to play! Please add more gameplay features and random events!

indiestry 2016-12-20 14:33

Very neat, the resource managment in general was good, I felt like the oxygene could have recharged a bit faster, as from time to time i had to wait for it to recharge. Also I just couldn't find the third beacon peace.

bobsleigh 2016-12-20 14:36

Great game! I liked the overall mechanics. I found that seeds were too numerous because batteries were plenty enough to refill your energy. A discreet ambiance music would add a lot to the mood too. I managed to get all the beacon parts and had a good time doing so!

murilo 2016-12-20 16:40

Very nice overall, kind of slow but I guess that's the idea! And really polished as well! I'm impressed considering how much time you had to make it!

fabsy 2016-12-29 03:47

Loved the idea and mood. I felt the progression was just right with the metal and oxygen. The lack of orientation when straying too far from the base is a bit panicking but I think it could be improved by adding some variety to the terrain or key landmarks.

Good job! Would love to see more.

tellus 2016-12-31 18:54

I found this very addicting, good job! It would be helpful to start the game with some of the supplies nearer to the ship just at the start of the game. Also, it was wasn't clear what the things in the ship were for initially, so maybe include them in the tutorial? This is a really good start!

Cool survival game!

The pixel art is great, and the day/night cycle was a nice touch. I liked the variety of factors you had to balance.

It was easy to get lost on the surface - perhaps some kind of (perhaps craftable) compass/homing beacon could have improved that aspect.

A very solid entry!
