| Apr 28 18:47:00 | White Warriors | I really like the flocking behaviour, but it took me a while to get how things work.
PS: I love the intro! haha :D | |
| Apr 28 18:56:00 | 9m 00s | Under ytan | One of the best entries i've seen so far. Simple and beautifully executed. Well done mate! |
| Apr 28 19:10:00 | 14m 00s | Metro Lance | I like fast paced games, but audio is an important part of feedback in this kind of game.
This game's got potention. Tweak it up :)

Also, bug report:
I've died midway and kept shooting AND walking |
| Apr 28 19:38:00 | 28m 00s | Down Through Sins | Awesome mood and sound. Sadly it closed midway after i've pressed ESC by accident :(
Kudos! |
| Apr 28 19:57:00 | 19m 00s | Inner War | You've done an outstanding work with the lights and the overall mood.
The idea of mixing up a "visual novel" style game with defense mechanics was quite interesting! I think that it would be really if the story was responsive to the defense gameplay in real time rather than bein a long alternative to a text box.
Good work! |
| Apr 28 20:18:00 | 21m 00s | Colony 31 | Well hello, bastion narrator! hahah :D
I really like the storytelling, the puzzle structure and the art. Good job!
I just think the mech was underused. Nice work anyway! |
| Apr 28 20:30:00 | 12m 00s | Rosa Neurosa | That was one of the weirdest games i've played here! haha!
It's a great idea! It would be nice if the text box could give me a hint about the apropriate verbs to use, my ending turned out quite messy because of that haha
I'm sharing it:
http://tinyurl.com/o2qlvfb

Good work!
Oh, and awesome animation too |
| Apr 29 12:50:00 | 16h 20m | From Below | That end animation ahahaha
Love the idea but the platforms are way too distant.

Good job tho :) |
| Apr 29 12:57:00 | 7m 00s | Dive Dive Dive! | Nothing happened :( i'm pressing all the keys and nothing happens |
| Apr 29 13:11:00 | 14m 00s | In search of an Artist | So, i really like the visuals and the whole pointing and shooting mechanics, i think it would suit really well for a megaman-like pc game.
That said,
- the "run" button was unnecessary, running should be the default movement since there is no need to walk slowly during the game
- besides the turret, no enemies ever did me any harm
- returning to the starting point as a punishing mechanic only works if you force the player to repeat the same steps (even tough usually i'm against this kind of stuff, but it's a design decision). Making the player walk every single pixel again just because he lost, while all the quest items and enemies are gone is just a boring thing to do :(

Oh, and i like the music. Kudos on that one too. |
| Apr 29 13:19:00 | 8m 00s | Geology Rocks | I like the mechanics idea, but the puzzle structure is too simple.
Besides, i got confused with what was and was not a path.

I love the art. It took me back to the 80's, those torches felt bizarrely nostalgic to look at haha

And sorry but after telling me that i CAN levitate using a rock, i WILL levitate using a rock :T I'm a terrible person |
| Apr 29 14:31:00 | 1h 12m | Clone Escape | I love stealth games and the "you've got one shot/few shots" thing was great.
While simplistic, the graphics are great at information distribution, so kudos on that.

PS: I had to zoom ou in order to fit the game on my screen (1366 x 768) |
| Apr 29 14:36:00 | 5m 00s | White House Down | Sorry, i was unnable to rate the game for a simple reason: it's impossible to play without killing yourself. My own bullets are colliding with me :( |
| Apr 29 15:03:00 | 27m 00s | Planet Corp. | Simple yet smart mechanics, check.
Beautiful and gameplay-friendly art , check.
Well written and fitting theme, check.

Well done mate. Well done. |
| Apr 29 15:20:00 | 17m 00s | Grimlock's Lair | Bullet hell bro fist for this entry!
I haven't played a melee Bullet hell for a while, great game! |
| Apr 29 16:09:00 | 49m 00s | Little Viking | - Love the Hägar the horrible-like style of the game and intro.
- The camera should be more zoomed out. It's hard to see obstacles and hazards along the path.
- Jump lacks control. It should be pressure sensitive (really easy to implement in unity and the default character controller already does that).

It's a really charming game, anyhow.
Kudos! |
| Apr 29 16:20:00 | 11m 00s | Nothing to Declare | God this game is tense. hahah!
It took me a while to figure out the way it works, but it would be a great mobile game IMO!
Stealth Multitasking while hiding space drugs, livestock and immigrants? You've got it right mate. |
| Apr 29 16:29:00 | 9m 00s | Fast Steps | I like dodging games, but the control scheme is way to complex and non-fluid. Besides, it's hard to predict the monster's movement and they're waaaay too fast... |
| Apr 29 16:44:00 | 15m 00s | Ben Eath the Surf Ace | Brilliant!
I love to see that kind of stuff on game jams.

It took me a looooong while to load the controller, but it was worth it.

Kudos! |
| Apr 29 16:51:00 | 7m 00s | Rats Under My Skin | I like the 3d walljumping mechanics and the terrain.
Sometimes reaching higher spots is quite frustrating, but it's a good entry nonetheless.

Btw, how did you do this "low poly" terrain? |
| Apr 29 17:04:00 | 13m 00s | Project Brain Damage | Nice Arcade! I like the directional shooting system and power ups |
| Apr 29 17:17:00 | 13m 00s | Ant Vision | Ant Simulator 2014.
I really like the wall climbing! |
| Apr 29 17:35:00 | 18m 00s | Infection | What a remarkable game for a ludum dare jam...
Even tough optimization was quite lacking (runs really slow on my laptop), it's polished to an impressivel level.
And i was thinking "Well, it's impressive allright, but it's just a game about shooting a line of enemies"
And then, "use your cells to buy stuff"
Turrets.
Upgrades.
Tableflip. I quit. |
| Apr 30 20:19:00 | 26h 44m | PORTHOLE | Awesome mood. Beautiful entry |
| Apr 30 20:45:00 | 26m 00s | Doomsday Bunker | I think i played this game for almost one hour...gosh i can't believe you've done so much. Kudos!
As a critique, i think air raids should be more extreme but more avoidable (like, adding the possibility of hiding in other bunkers for a price!)

Anyway, formidable! |
| Apr 30 21:08:00 | 23m 00s | Heart of the Cards | Nice mechanics / storytelling combo and great music. Some steps further and you might have a really good game |
| Apr 30 21:13:00 | 5m 00s | Paddle Battle Pegasus | Feels like a Mario Party mini game and it would be a good multiplayer! |
| Apr 30 21:25:00 | 12m 00s | Jet Force Gemini | Allrighty, i was about to jump on conclusions here and then i've read about this Angelina and: WOW. wow.
It's a wacky game, indeed. But done by an AI? The way things are evolving nowdays i might loose my job soon.
Kudos! |
| Apr 30 21:29:00 | 4m 00s | MiniDungeon | Looks good but it's buggy and i can't really see the objective here... |
| Apr 30 21:44:00 | 15m 00s | The Ant State | I had a really hard time figuring out what to do ._. |
| Apr 30 21:56:00 | 12m 00s | Blackwald Forest | I feel like a terrible person for playing this.
The polish is astounding but the controls feel kinda rigid. |
| Apr 30 23:16:00 | 1h 20m | Whac-A-Something! | You made me wack a panda, a penguin and a gnome and i feel like a terrible persona after playing your game :(
Fun, tough! |
| Apr 30 23:27:00 | 11m 00s | Hollow Shell | The way the hald after shot really builds up some tension. Great entry! |
| May 1 23:48:00 | 24h 21m | Hymn of the Moles | This is 80's DDR ! haha |
| May 1 23:53:00 | 5m 00s | The Monastery | my heart just got filled up with nostalgia after playing this. Good show. Good show :,) |
| May 1 23:59:00 | 6m 00s | Whodunnit?! | Great writing and audio :)
Oh, and you should use the "hide context menu"
option for webplayer. When i right-click the menu pops up |
| May 2 00:10:00 | 11m 00s | Jason Rodeo's Last Stand | With some polishing and adjusting, this would be a great mobile game |
| May 2 00:23:00 | 13m 00s | Wheraldo | Quite funny :) Too bad it was so short
Oh, Wheraldo's family portrait might be the best image i've seen on this LD |
| May 2 00:32:00 | 9m 00s | Sub Diver | - Looks good
- Quite easy until obstacles pop out: Then it's hard as hell!
- Quite fun!
- Superb audio! |
| May 2 00:45:00 | 13m 00s | Follow the Unicorn | I'M TRIPPIN' BALLS |
| May 2 00:49:00 | 4m 00s | Tiny Haunt | i can't relate it to the theme, but it's a fun little game. |
| May 2 00:55:00 | 6m 00s | Ascent | Where is the "Trippiness" field for apropriate rating?
I might need a few pills. |
| May 2 01:14:00 | 19m 00s | DUNGEON DUNGEON DUNGEON | Looks amazing, but 9 out of 10 times things go bad when you worry too much about art on Game Jams.
Nice concept nonetheless. |
| May 2 01:25:00 | 11m 00s | Dude, what surface? | Gosh, that was hard haha
Nice mechanics, but the level design should do a better job a guiding the players through. Check out the Umihara Kawase games for a nice example! |
| May 2 01:27:00 | 2m 00s | Giant Pumpkin | I'm a terrible, terrible farmer :(
Would be a good mobile game! |
| May 2 01:37:00 | 10m 00s | The Sea Has No Claim | Great concept and style.
But the soundtrack (on the post-compo version) goes on the oposite way of the game's mood IMO... |
| May 2 01:52:00 | 15m 00s | Blundergaffe | I am really good at killing myself in this game haha
Great entry! |
| May 2 01:59:00 | 7m 00s | OMNOMNOM | - Interesting game!
- I love the paper style, but making the fish flip would be better than backflipping him haha
- I love the music
- AWESOME UI! |
| May 2 23:20:00 | 21h 21m | pIMGale | A quite unique entry. Nicely done! |
| May 2 23:29:00 | 9m 00s | Eiradirian Wormfare | That's a really complex entry and the kind of game i love to see around here. Awesome character design regardless of the sketchy art. And the intro was really funny. Good work on this one folks :D |
| May 2 23:36:00 | 7m 00s | NOT THE ELEPHANT | THAT ending.
GOTY 2014 |
| May 2 23:38:00 | 2m 00s | Sweeper Maniacs! | It's hard to figure out how the game works but i like the concept and visuals! |
| May 2 23:43:00 | 5m 00s | The Oceanographers: Trouble in the Deep | Quite interesting a weaponless bullet hell.
And I really like the music! |
| May 2 23:49:00 | 6m 00s | The Surface. | The Ipaddysters send their regards.

Wacky fighting mechanics, but the characters and "plot twist" right at the start made this one of my favorite games so far. And i've played -a lot- of'em. |
| May 3 00:47:00 | 58m 00s | MORTON | Sadly i could not run it, my graphic card does not suport DX 11 and crashes as soon as the game starts
[/FunnyPants mode off]
Honestly, that's the kind of stuff i LOVE to see on a game jam. It's pointless, it's funny and it's above all, fun.

THANKS OBAMA

Oh, and by the way [MORTON SPOILER ALERT BELOW (seriously)]

I KNEW things would go lovecraft as soon as i began playing it. So, even under the shroud of randomness that is this game, you managed to transmit the feeling of the occult through it. Believe it or not, i'm not kidding. |
| May 3 00:50:00 | 3m 00s | iRiS | Really crazy concept, but it turned out as an interesting and novel game mechanic even under the existing flood of color matching games we have nowdays |
| May 3 00:58:00 | 8m 00s | Alien Lobotomy | I love puzzle games and this is the best one i've seen around here. Good.Job. |
| May 3 01:06:00 | 8m 00s | Spiel-Flache | Hi!
My humble cents:
- Great atmosphere, you know it. Sound, ambient. All nailed up (game jam wisely)
- While the "ball and chain" with a motor mechanic is quite fustrating, it's an interesting new way to think about movement and how physics can affect it, so while i think it was not really implemented in a way that made any sense during gameplay, it was a nice idea and could easily be used under different circumstances.

The game came out without much of a objective, but you've created something that will certainly inspire other devs here and, hopefully, yourself. Nice job :) |
| May 3 01:12:00 | 6m 00s | Space Wizard | Ladies and gentlemen,
We've lived long enough to play a mini-game about snorting cocaine. A game whose ending credits involve a rain of hallucinogenic pills.
This game is an achievment in modern society.

(But....uh...did i miss the theme here?) |
| May 3 01:18:00 | 6m 00s | The Hole | Oh the insanity. I love jams. |
| May 3 01:29:00 | 11m 00s | I Remember Alice | First of all, this game wasn't fun. Not at all.
But then, if it was fun, i think i would be missing the point.

It's cruel and it's true. I would give you five starts for "Reality being slapped in your stupid face", but since there is no such a thing like that in Ludum Dare, you'll get my points for mood. |
| May 3 01:34:00 | 5m 00s | Blunderer | Protip: Play while drunk. |
| May 3 01:39:00 | 5m 00s | Operation Blind October | Cool! But the light time should last more than that, it's really hard to dodge something you can't see at all |
| May 3 01:42:00 | 3m 00s | Deep Collective | I like the terrain shapes! |
| May 3 01:44:00 | 2m 00s | Subsea War | I won the ocean! I guess... |
| May 3 01:53:00 | 9m 00s | A Glorious Escape for A Lich King | AMAZING work. Mixing up TD with RTS-styled resource gathering. Great show, mate! |
| May 3 01:57:00 | 4m 00s | Heaving of the Depths | YARrrR PIRATES.
Promising! But battle was quite messy!
I did really enjoy the dialogue and style. |
| May 3 02:01:00 | 4m 00s | Tentacle Potato Defence | "SWOOSH BOOM POW PTING 10/10" |
| May 3 02:05:00 | 4m 00s | The Pond | I had a problem figuring out when to jump sometimes - obstacles like the fallen log are in perspective and i can't really distinguish the "hit box".

Nonetheless, cool music, cool style. Good entry! |
| May 3 02:13:00 | 8m 00s | Deus ex Submarine | Great writing! The replay thing was quite neat.
Good entry! |
| May 4 13:39:00 | 35h 26m | Roverboard | Awesome visuals, audio and camera. Nice theme interpretation.
Would love to see this as an actual game! |
| May 4 13:41:00 | 2m 00s | Submersion | Nice concept, but the grapple controlled kinda weird.
Besides, a simple explanation at the beggining would be a big help haha |
| May 4 13:56:00 | 15m 00s | Shady has to eat | Quick and fun arcade goodness. I like the way the gameplay works, but i think adding different behaviours for the clouds would make it much more interesting |
| May 4 14:01:00 | 5m 00s | Dagfin | good writing, but the music totally ruins the mood :( you should go for drone or something on those lines for the background audio |
| May 4 14:13:00 | 12m 00s | Parabellum | I like "endless arcade with upgrades" games because they get harder and harder as you play and resource management also takes a big part on the gameplay experience.
However, one wave is always as hard as the other. I've fully upgraded two weapons and saw no difference between them.
Besides, if you're useng right click on Unity Webplayer you're suposed to toggle the "Hide Context menu" mode on build settings -> Player settings.
It's a nice idea, but needs to be worked on! |
| May 4 14:27:00 | 14m 00s | Behind Mirror | Awesome entry! It was hardcore fo sho but dayum, DAT color-coding. Everything was coherent and fitting to the environment. However, I would love to see a better exploration of the "mirror" mechanic. |
| May 4 15:13:00 | 46m 00s | Watch Your Step | YES I DID IT \o\\o//o/
Ok, this one wins for me. For one side it's total ludum dare candy, but on the other side it's SUPER FUN.
- It follows the #1 Roguelike rule IMO: "Hard, but if you die, it's your faul."
- Marvelously color-coded. You always know who is who and what is what.
- TIMING. F*cking, timing. Generous pauses, upgrades and time to breath and take a cup of water between raging waves of spiders.
- Controls are absolutely responsive. I know what i did and why i did it.

Above all, it's FUN. FUN DO YA HEAR ME. I would absolutelly pay for a longer / multiple-staged / co-op version of this game on Steam. It feels absolutely badass to shoot while digging and throwing resources at the camel

For me, mate, you win. Big time.

To be fair, my critique:
- The intervals should be more spaced: getting inside one of those stations should A) Clear the enemies B) Enemy spawning should cease as soon as the station appears in scene.
- While inside the stations your life should be displayed. Sometimes i was unsure of how many hearts i had. It would be good to know how much i've upgraded other stats as well.
- There should be an alternative way to gather the resources. Example: Keeping "C" Pressed while close to the camel would transfer resources, two points/ second. Throwing should be a faster, but alternative way (more risky).
- I believe more enemies would add a lot to the gameplay. That considered, i believe player and enemies should have different colors.

Kudos mate. Kudos. |
| May 4 15:29:00 | 16m 00s | Vaults Inc | Very good. Quite rich in content and gameplay.
But i think that the dust effect was way too strong, it was really really distracting and that's not the kind of stuff you want on a slow-paced siulator game. |
| May 4 15:36:00 | 7m 00s | Six Clouds Above | You get my points for theme interpretation, but while the game was packed with great ideas, it had a few breaking issues:
- Things are too big. It's easy to hit the rocks and ground even whn you think you're away from them. Besides, there is zero death feedback. I don't know when i'm getting killed by rocks, ground or lasers.
- Really neat thing to use the solar power, but going above the clouds is a consequence-free action. I can just stay in there charging and go back to the battlefield as soon as i'm ok. |
| May 4 15:40:00 | 4m 00s | What Lies Beneath | Really neat idea AND implementation! Looks good, plays nicely and consequences are fair.
I'm a great fan of well-executed camera effects, so, kudos on that.
Would work great on mobile! |
| May 4 15:50:00 | 10m 00s | The Pixel Underground | Awesome controls and gameplay. Even if the art is simple, it's coded properly and you know what is what and who is who.

But:
- I've failed to grasp the theme here...and what about that intro?
- That.Scream. |
| May 4 15:56:00 | 6m 00s | The Loudest Ballerina | One of the most original entries around here.
Bravo! |
| May 4 16:00:00 | 4m 00s | Lebesgue | Really relaxing. Quit lacking as a game but superb as a Zen interactive experience. |
| May 4 17:05:00 | 1h 05m | Jeremy Brain: Brain Doctor | Really really good writing and voice-over!
Only downsides:
- Paths were too long AND silent sometimes. No problem walking a lot if you're listening to the audio, but walking an empity corridor is quite dull.
- Platforming was standing in a weird middle ground here - it should either be challenging or easy and short.
- Audio should never overlap. I've triggered a text while one was still going on and they both went on in a terrible cacophony. That reveals two issues: one is that audio files are playing alongside and other is that the pacing at the final scene should be adjusted to the audio file durations.

One of my favorites so far. Kudos! |
| May 4 17:10:00 | 5m 00s | Die Backpfeife aus dem Nichts | Quite Fun! It's hard to see when the devil is taking control but once you understand the signs it's easy to go full five-fingers-exorcist on him. |
| May 4 17:17:00 | 7m 00s | Symbiosis | The actual game was somewhat complicated, but the idea of using a "test" to determine in-game elements is awesome! |
| May 4 17:27:00 | 10m 00s | Where Gods Sleep | Great art....but quite hard to figure out what to do. |
| May 4 17:31:00 | 4m 00s | Max Terror: Beach Patrol | "Tony Hawk's Pro Jaws Simulator 2014 The Movie The Game"
Really cool! But steering is really really hard on the keyboard :T |
| May 4 18:15:00 | 44m 00s | The Dead rest Beneath Us | This is the vilest game i've seen.
Not it Ludum Dare, in my entire life.

Thank you for ruining my day.
You'll still get a bunch o' stars from me anyway. |
| May 4 18:21:00 | 6m 00s | Arounder | Really neat! Quite a novel gameplay mechanic |
| May 4 18:25:00 | 4m 00s | Delve | GORGEOUS. Not really a game but a great artistical achievement for 48 hours.
Out of context, it would look like it took weeks for you to make it. Kudos! |
| May 4 18:28:00 | 3m 00s | Eisenberg | Cool concept, but some elements are quite frustrating, like the spider (it's quite unclear how does she causes damage and where is her hitbox). I love the "clones" idea as well |
