Aug 22 07:57:00 Horseback Chase Nice, solid gameplay, even though I wished for constant fire! ;) Do you plan to extend it in the jam?
Aug 22 08:11:00 14m 00s McPixel I liked the special ending really really really much!
Aug 22 11:33:00 3h 22m Escape from Ludum Dare 188.617 seconds, yay!
Aug 22 14:31:00 2h 58m Cube Collapse The idea is great, but sadly I don't see much connection to the theme. :-]
Aug 22 14:54:00 23m 00s Reveal Unity3D does 64 bit .exes?

I'm in a room full of posters and don't know where to go. :(
Aug 22 20:05:00 5h 11m Thruster Solid execution overall, but not much fun - sorry. Perhaps I'm just bad at such games. ;)
Aug 22 20:07:00 2m 00s Red Rover Give me windows version please. :)
Aug 22 20:32:00 25m 00s Shotgun Man Will Shoot You Yeah, couldn't play it either, sorry.
Aug 22 20:39:00 7m 00s Fragmentation Would have given more on "Overall" if I wouldn't fall out of the level at the end ... looks broken, sorry.
Aug 22 20:45:00 6m 00s The Grind Wish there was a way to work off the TO-DOs! ;)
Aug 22 21:00:00 15m 00s MageRunner Hmm ... the beginning is tedious (registration with captcha) and the animations of the boxes are just timewasting. It doesn't help that the game hasn't any graphics nor story (calling your red box enemy "red box" doesn't help my imagination). Also, it's kind of sad that the labyrinth really is just a maze. Thinking of roguelikes I'd like to see some more interesting room-corridor-constructs.
As a whole there isn't any reason for me to play the game further. Sorry!
Aug 22 21:09:00 9m 00s Escape the game! Yay, four games in a row. All of them nothing new, but nicely done. I enjoyed this one. The idea with the exit code is nice, even though I would have done it with more overall story.
Bummer there is no sound!
Aug 23 14:58:00 17h 49m Legendary Lava Escape The lack of lighting/shadows makes the game pretty hard. :-/
Aug 23 15:41:00 43m 00s DrPetterLD21 I always liked games with gravity change, and this one is no exception. A shame there is no sound.
Aug 23 15:54:00 13m 00s Escape the Zombie Horde Interesting concept, but it severely lacks interaction. Having the player to make choices before the game even starts never is a good design choice, IMHO. Also, I can't see how much I bought the different items before the game starts. It just isn't very rewarding. :(
Other than that, I like the general idea, and somehow the atmosphere.
Aug 23 15:59:00 5m 00s AWAYGET Bravo, nice game! Wish it would become faster over the time, and there would be some background music, but as a whole a nice and complete game!
Aug 23 18:31:00 2h 32m The Accidental Adventure of Jim The idea of playing a mini game in order to defeat an enemy is nice, but the game itself (Pong) is just too slow. Also, the ugly endboss(?) is unbeatable, more or less. Dunno, I stopped trying, sorry.
First I thought you have to escape the dungeon, but then the ugly guy said something about a princess, so I think you missed the theme. ;)
Fazit: It would have been nice if you had some more polish in it, it just feels incomplete as a whole. Which is said, because I like Dungeon Crawlers. :)
Aug 23 18:51:00 20m 00s Rainbow Jail Nice idea and concept and execution! Really top notch!

But it really is too hard, from the beginning. (Or it isn't too hard but just "too much" - try to reduce the amount of blocks in the first levels, that should help.)
Aug 23 19:09:00 18m 00s Who let the robots out? Very complex game, huh. I like the building aspect of it, but the presentation is lacking a bit. There is seldom feedback for my actions (particles! sounds!), and the tiles are not so nice to look at - and there are so many of them ...
Perhaps zooming in a bit would be cool? Having a tutorial is great BTW, although the font was too small.
Aug 23 19:25:00 16m 00s Dot Matrix Cool, I'm a hero!

Somehow I randomly used the buttons and I still beat the game. ;) Perhaps some more conflicts/obstacles/gameplayelements? Also, it would be nice if the teleporter beams would be more visible.
Aug 23 19:38:00 13m 00s Charge Interesting idea (reminded me of Osmos), but the randomness threw me off. It feels very uncontrollable. Other than that, I liked the overall presentation and style.
Aug 23 19:58:00 20m 00s Dungeon Exit Couldn't beat it. :(
Aug 23 20:03:00 5m 00s Earth Escape Nice game, very solid. But the intro is hideous, perhaps text-only would have been better ... ;)
Aug 23 22:06:00 2h 03m Escape Velocity Nice 3D effect!
The gameplay reminded me of those old handheld electronic games with vacuum fluorescent displays. :)
Aug 23 22:15:00 9m 00s Prison Break Very good entry, I liked it.
The only bad thing is the sound of the gun. But 5/5 for Theme and Graphics!
Aug 23 22:20:00 5m 00s Poor Ball Nice game, although it doesn't motivate very long.
Perhaps you could try some variations, like a ball with gravity, or drawing lines instead of just placing boxes.
Aug 23 22:29:00 9m 00s Abigail's Descent Splendid game, good job! Reminds me of an old C64 game ... don't remember the name. :(
The only thing I don't like is that the gray characters don't fit with the 3D background, but the overall presentation is superb!
Aug 24 13:31:00 15h 02m EscapeOut Thanks for this game experience. :-)
Aug 24 14:04:00 33m 00s Jailed by the Ministry of Project Management Hey, this is a very good idea, congrats!
It's a bit lacking on the tactical side, as you can't see everything from the beginning and getting new food is too random ... but I played it several times, which tells something. (I also beat the "Insane" mode, which wasn't much harder than the other modes.)
The only thing I didn't like was the graphics, or better, the choice of colours. The music is cheap, but sets the atmosphere perfectly ... but the bright ground just doesn't fit. If you would fix that + more interactivity / tactical gameplay, it would become a nice little coffe break game. :-)
Aug 24 14:16:00 12m 00s The Great Unescape Hey, you've got a great game here! Too bad it'*s too hard for me, the Checkpoint thing would be awesome. Sound problems here, too.
Aug 24 20:55:00 6h 39m 26 Prisoners "Here, you cannot save both of them." - Well, I could! http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10650964/_trash/LD21/devenger.jpg ;-)

One of the best games of LD21 I played so far, good job! (Although it's a bit too hard for me.)
Aug 24 21:14:00 19m 00s Soul Hellscape That's really cool! A complex, deep and yet complete sandbox game! Great job done here!
The only problem is the high resolution or too small objects. I once had at least 10 souls following my light beam, and I led them all to a Hellrose because I thought it would be the Gate of Hell. ;-) Well, clearly my mistake, but I think setting the contrast a little bit higher and zooming in would help to make this an outstanding game!
Aug 24 21:20:00 6m 00s Mouse Trap A mouse trying to escape - a classic! :-)
Technical a little bit wonky (sometimes I see black lines of pixels between the tiles) and graphics could be more interesting (e.g., tiles with textures, especially most on the screen is darkness). Hopefully next Ludum Dare you will have more time to add some more gameplay elements, "Mouse Trap" would have deserved it!
Aug 25 08:57:00 11h 37m Mindbane Really, this is better than VVVVVV!
Aug 30 13:42:00 124h 45m Mazes & Demons Good game, would be nice of there was a scaling option (in order to have a bigger window). Walking through mazes isn't my thing though, I like rooms and corridors more. :)
Aug 30 14:52:00 1h 10m Dark Acre Jack's "Escapology" I love this game idea, and I concur - more more more! And then, please, let the magician explain his tricks! ;-)
Aug 31 12:58:00 22h 06m Globular Prisonbreak! The game is cool for a first LD entry and you should continue working on it.
Especially because this is a very original idea. The first time I started it (without reading the manual), I thought it's some kind of Tetris/DrMario/etc. kind of game (of course, I didn't know what to do, e.g. that I have to escape through the hole in the north). But after reading the description I saw that there is more to it.

TBH, two things can be improved: 1) The rate the gnomes are shooting from every side is too high, and it destroys the tactical potential the game has. 2) I think it's a little bit strange that the color of the floor defines the color of the next blob. Why didn't you just let the gnomes shoot different colored blobs? Well, of course, this would change the gameplay, so I don't know if you already considered it.

These are my thoughts to it.
Aug 31 20:02:00 7h 04m Lava Tsunami of Doom I played it on Opera ... feels like a good game already, but when I leftclick the player graphics disappear and somehow I'm dead (Distance counter stops). Don't tell me the only thing I can shoot is myself? :)
Aug 31 20:19:00 17m 00s The Blueprints Hey, I love stealth games! Although I wish the AI would be a tiny bit better - after being discovered all you have to do is running behind a wall. After being back to normal guards don't do anything. But of course this way it's good casual stealth gameplay (even killing the guards works fine!), because you don't start right from the beginning after being hitten.
Good work! I'd like to see this explored and made into a more deep game!
Aug 31 21:38:00 1h 19m Mass Escape Everything I wanted to say is already in the comments. :P
So, this is too random, of course, but not "good" random like in a color-matching game, but bad random, so that the game punishes you just because of bad luck.
But somehow this is a nice gameplay. I think I would ditch the randomness as a whole and just make levels with different layouts and times spawnings. Of course, this would need some more tidbits, like guards wandering around which you may not knock down. Or so.
Sep 2 15:03:00 41h 25m Heist Interesting game, but it needs pixelperfect collision ... lost the game although no laser touch me. Still, great idea!
Sep 2 15:21:00 18m 00s The Shadows Hunger Nice little game which noone should underestimate.
But I have problems with the bomb too. First, running into the explosion after the Boom shouldn't kill me (it doesn't feel natural). Second, it's sad that you lose the bomb if you die and the bomb was ticking on the floor.
But overall nice work!
Sep 2 20:07:00 4h 46m Bob's Escape Very nice platformer with a twist and a good pace. The graphics could need some improvement (but not much), but the music is cool. I don't think I would have implemented an ending like this, though. ;-)
Sep 2 20:39:00 32m 00s Escape - Forest 2012 This was the most psychedelic text adventure I ever played. The music didn't work here, too, but I played it in WinAmp.
Sep 2 20:46:00 7m 00s Escausage If I weren't so full right now this game would have made me hungry. ;-) Nice game idea, but at some point too frustrating / uncontrollable so I ragequit.
Sep 2 20:55:00 9m 00s Ascape Sorry, the source code was funnier than the game. ;-)
Sep 2 21:12:00 17m 00s Escape The Overgrowth Well, too bad you didn't deliver an executable or anything finished. ;-) I like the idea, though.
Sep 3 15:52:00 18h 40m Es' Cape Nice little game, but even it was made in only 11 hours I'd like to see some more stuff (e.g., animated eyes or a moving landscape). Please change the keys for the introduction, I hate having the Num key activated. ;-)
Sep 3 16:06:00 14m 00s Towering Inferno This one is really great! Just some minor complaints: You use the Axe with X, but it is marked as "(A)xe" - this may be the reason why some people think it doesn't work. Also, the orange @ is nearly invisible on the gray tiles, and at the beginning of a level I have to search it with eagle eyes. This is a bit frustrating.
But altogether a great idea. Please work on it some more, so it isn't just luck if a level is beatable or not. :-)
Sep 4 21:59:00 29h 53m Escape! Installer is a big no-no ... and with this kind of gameplay and presentation, you could have learned and used Flash in the 48 hours. ;-)
Perhaps it would be cool if the chips would fly and bounce off the walls, that would be something new.
Sep 4 22:08:00 9m 00s Escape! Oy, that was a tedious experience. At least I played it through! The step sound really is horrible, but I liked the atmospheric music. Graphics are good enough, too.

My Pro-Tipp: If you're going for a long and sometimes boring game experience with many dead-ends, just add a little bit story, e.g. some text fragments here and there and in every blind alley. It makes the game instantly artsy, because people get something for their efforts. Also it wouldn't be hard to implement. :-)
Sep 4 22:16:00 8m 00s Road to Escape Nice game, although nothing new. The contrast could be better, I'm dying too soon because I can't see stuff. ;-)
I like the general setting though. There are too few games where you play a skeleton on a street. This is something you should explore more!
Sep 5 07:01:00 8h 45m Stupid Escape game Hmm, feels more like joke game with advertisement for your EpicWorld site ...
Nonetheless, the collision with walls needs works, but I like how forgiving the game is when you die. Overall it could be much harder, the last level doesn't even have enemies. :-?
BTW, why do I have to enter my name when the protagonist's name is Bob anyway?
Sep 5 07:21:00 20m 00s Tools Cool game, I like the general idea very much.
I concur, the trading is a little bit tiresome as they always want things from me I don't have. Also, I traded a battery - I had two of them - with a toothbrush, and suddenly I had two toothbrushes and no battery. This shouldn't happen ...
I didn't craft anything, unfortunately, as all my attempts failed. Are the recipes that silly, or am I that stupid? :-)
Altogether I'm eager to see the Flash version with graphics!
Sep 5 07:28:00 7m 00s Shapechanger (incomplete) I think it would have been more than enough of a game if I could see the changes I make as a shapeshifter. :-) Nice music, of course, and the story begins promising.
So don't stop, continue working on it!
Sep 7 16:53:00 57h 25m Prison Escapor Nice idea for a game, but too bad the execution lacks a bit. For instance, having only three lives/tries is really unnecessary for such a game. Especially because you sometimes just can't prevent losing the level because you don't know what the map looks like and inevitably will run into a guard. Who can catch you instantly.
Without this, this could be an outstanding game, really!
Sep 7 17:08:00 15m 00s The Getaway Car Slowing the car down really is unnecessary. Other than that, some visual hints for the exit would be nice.
But nice, a micro GTA ... :-)
Sep 7 17:16:00 8m 00s Cave Runner Cute little game, I even made it with 20000 gold. ;-)
I liked the boomerang sword, and with some music and a more animated dragon (at least for the fireball - could be good for some visual feedback) and better collision (I ran into the boxes even though I didn't touch them for sure), i.e. polish, this could be a good game for smartphones.
Sep 7 18:43:00 1h 27m displaced Nicely done, really - I dig games with story. Somehow it was a little bit too monochromatic for me, but that's okay.
Sep 7 18:52:00 9m 00s Rescue Support This is a good game, well done. Somehow I think it even would be much better with real levels and without endless mode. And I often just cannot rescue the little blue guys, so the "Died" counter doesn't make much sense in this case, as they get constantly respawned. (Ditto for the "Killed".)
Other than that, great achievement, try to make a full game out of it!
Sep 8 08:33:00 13h 41m Escape Artist Great game, one of my favorites so far. Good graphics, music, and - of course - gameplay.
Seems like I died too often (I'm bad at platformers) - the game just exited with an error suddenly after I was hit by an enemy. Here is the log:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "main.py", line 1485, in <module>
File "main.py", line 1401, in loop
NameError: global name 'exit' is not defined
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "main.py", line 1485, in <module>
File "main.py", line 1424, in loop
File "main.py", line 1277, in update_all
File "main.py", line 1164, in update
File "main.py", line 560, in hurt
File "main.py", line 393, in touching_wall
File "main.py", line 59, in get_touching
TypeError: range() integer end argument expected, got float.
Sep 10 08:58:00 48h 25m Dude Running From an Explosion I just couldn't get past one passage, where the only alley was one block high ... I got stuck (jumping didn't help) and had to die. :-(
Other than that, nice style and solid gameplay.
Sep 10 09:23:00 25m 00s Escape the Brothel Nice start for a full game!
One bug I spotted: You can get the key for the window twice, if you look under the bed again, after opening the window.
Sep 11 21:31:00 36h 08m Saharan Scurry Very straightforward game, not bad.
But it's a little bit too hard - would be nice if the tanks wouldn't make so many damage, or at least give us some medpacks.
Sep 12 17:08:00 19h 37m End of file Solid gameplay and implementation, I like it. Too bad I suck at this kind of games, so I didn't play it through. Also, I don't like respawning enemies ...
A little bit more variety would be nice.
