Very nice simple game. My finger is now sore. Thanks for that =p

I am having problems with this game. The web version halts every time I through a snow ball. Using safari on OS X.
Nice game. Would be nice to see a faster paced game implementing this mechanic.
This could give birth to an interesting game, but I didn't find it engaging. Not sure what I would change in this game, but it needs something else.
This was a very, very clever idea. 4/5 would buy.
It is a shame that this is an unfinished game. Maybe for next Ludum Dare you will manage ;) In the meantime, try to finish this game and polish it up a little bit. That will be great practice and will give you a sense of what you can, and can not do in Compo. It will also be a reason to learn how to make sound for your next entry.
All values are set to undefined. Is that normal?
Will not rate as the game keeps crashing my unity player.
Awesome game. Just got to that wall in the end and thought "What now?" and then I remembered I had some baddies left behind, so I just went for the slaughter.
The game has some really good elements, but in the end I just found it boring. The game itself has potential to be a 5 stars, but right now it is not there yet. I would consider making the jumping and falling a little bit faster and creating a more engaging music. You create this whole humorous tone and then completely destroy it with that dreary music.
Awesome.
It's an interesting concept, but the execution fell a bit short. The controls needed to be a bit more polished and the way the screens are scrambled is not intuitive at all. Otherwise the concept was very innovative and certainly within the theme of the jam. Also, this is one of those games were great audio would make a huge difference. I can see this concept work marvels for either an horror game or a stealth game.
It works fine, but the game itself doesn't give enough feedback to the player. I felt like I was just changing numbers with little no to impact in the game. I managed to produce resources for a while, and build a couple of things, but then I lost interest. If you had in the bottom a small text that changed with "News from other worlds" that would make it more engaging. It could have sentences that add flavour to the game while giving information. For example informative messages like "New factory open in the Red planet." or more funny ones like "Blue planet invented a new data storage mechanism. They call it the bluray" (this message could appear when blue invests in research.)
I might have missed something, but how do you pass the second village? When I get that 1st fork on the road, my "throws" are not strong enough to pinball around and reach the other side.
Also, when a hero gets stuck between trees, it currently dies. Consider changing that mechanic to just making it come back to the village you were in.
The game seems fun, but I can't get pass the beginning, so I will not rate it for now.
Will come back to it later when I have a friend to try it with.
This game is awesome! I wish I had tried it at Paris Ludum Dare with more players. I'll be sure to spread the word.
Also, you should think about porting this to OUYA. This is the kind of game that OUYA owner's love.
Loved it. Wish you decide to sharpen it up later. It does sound promising.
As I play with a touch pad (mac) it becomes a little hard to play later in the game, but I enjoyed it. I suppose this game was made for touch screens, no? Nice game =)
Ok, I am not going to rate the game right away, as I fell that with a bit of UI design you can give the user a much much better experience.
1st) This stats;
Gold:
656
Production:
2
Strength:
10
Population:
14
Max Population:
25
Current Mission:
Should not be vertically separated. Do tab separation:
Gold: Production: Strength: Population:
656 2 10 14/25
Current Mission:
See how everything fits nicely in just 2 lines? Also, I merged population with max population by using a /.
2nd) Make this same stats always be the top of your UI. (equivalent to: position: fixed; in CSS.
Once you've managed to fix these two issues, feel free to leave me a message on my comments section and I will be happy to return and rate your game =)
Your game is not web, but windows. Please consider changing that in your entry.
A nicely done game. Keep up the good work.
Consider making change the colors of the tower free. The mechanic itself already adds an extra layer of complexity to the game, so by making it cost money your actually penalising the player. Once I lost because I had finished building towers to prevent an invasion, and the next turn the whole wave was a different color (meaning I needed 100+ just to keep up). One thing you might consider is making "change color" free, but make enemy waves with mixed colours (forcing the player to either micro manage their colours or have a good distribution among colours in a wave). If you do so, consider ramping up the difficulty slowly, by having wave 1 2 in blue, 3 4 in red, 5 in blue with 1-3 enemies in red, 6 with half half and only introduce the 3rd colour later. When you introduce a new color, make that whole wave that color.
If you decide to enter in a next LD, try to get a designer.
Great job! I might come later to play it again ^^
loved it
Nice game. W
Nice game.
Great game! Wish there was some way to track our progress, like an indicator of how far you went (in meters).
Also, the game seems to work fine in Safari.
It was an ok game. Playable, hard, but repetitive after a while. The background music becomes irritating after a while.
Hello @Gread72 !
Fixed it =)
@matpg that sounds really cool. Maybe after the jam I will add that feature.
@gebirgsbaerbel thanks for the comment. The character that hurts you is Thesee, the blue guy with the sword. I tried making him red, but then it looked like a mighty warrior wearing a red skirt. Not that I have anything agains men wearing red skirts, but I don't think that look went well with the rest of the theme. I am open to suggestions to improve Thesee's visibility ^^
@Liam :D
I originally decided to go with just one level as that was partially how I interpreted the "Entire game on one screen". Wouldn't having more levels go against that? Or am I restraining my design too much based on the theme of the jam?
@SoulGame The cage must be closed, in order to show the player that there is a mechanic when you press the DOWN button. You can go through any blue platform by clicking DOWN.
You need to be sure the folder where you are hosting the game is made public.
Loved it. Hope you decide to continue working on this project to implement the features you talked about during the pitch (interaction with the background). 5/5
There was a lot of potential for this game, but I feel it fell short. The game has a very specific target audience and is very theme specific. I think a similar game with fictional tv channels and a fictional event (that could very well be inspired on this one) would have worked better.
Awesome game!
Great game. Just missing audio and graphics to be a 5.
This is an interesting project, but not an interesting game. One important element in game design is to give agency to the player, this means making their choices meaningful. In this game I start the population, but that has little effect on how things turn out. This could be the basis for a game, but not a game in itself.
