LD28 — You Only Get One

But You Want One More by spx 2013-12-18T00:32:00

It's a really interesting puzzle game, it gets pretty difficult pretty quickly and within a couple of levels it's too hard to tell what's going on and you never have enough arrows pointing in the right direction to get where you need to go. I also like the particle effects.

YOGO PATH by cesisco 2013-12-18T00:13:00

The music and graphics are great and the randomly generated levels are excellent. The double characters game mechanic is pretty interesting but sometimes frustrating.

Leap of Faith by Ysty 2013-12-17T20:40:00

The storyline is great and the mechanics work well enough for a platformer.

You only get one stone by Vladp995 2013-12-17T06:36:00

Got your game idling in the background on my system. Funny little take on the idle games. Good job finishing something with SDL.

Stabby game by Woftles 2013-12-18T00:55:00

I like the use of lighting to expose different rooms of the level. It was a little more difficult to stab people than I would have liked it to be. Some of the sound effects are a little distracting.

Acorn Hunter 5000 by dcolgan 2013-12-20T06:30:00

It was great watching your stream the whole weekend. You've got me interested in making a game with javascript. Acorn Hunter could use a few more levels and types of enemies to deal with. The music is seriously stuck in my head.

Discount Santa Saves Christamas by tinykidtoo 2013-12-18T00:47:00

The perfect collisions are kind of tedious but it's a hilarious game, I like the idea of subjecting santa claus to mayhem. Could really use a few more different kinds of obstacles.

YOLO Simulator 2014 by EncryptedCow 2013-12-20T06:35:00

I died of natural causes at 105 years old. Good work finishing but it just needs more options to start to be interesting.

Impoverished Starfighter by danbo 2013-12-20T06:24:00

The game is incredibly difficult, you didn't stick to the theme so well, and there are some framerate issues (ie when you use rapidfire primary weapon at the same time as the flamethrower) but other than that it really is perfect. I hope you choose to release an update.

One Touch Of Music by KumoKairo 2013-12-18T00:45:00

It's a great musical aptitude test. Could make for very useful learning software possibly. It needs some more instruments to mix up the sound!

Single-Shot Space Hero: Adventures Through Time and Space; Encounters With The Green Worms of the Edgeworth-Kuiper Belt Planetoid Quaoar by mutilator 2013-12-20T06:41:00

Well I had thought my problem was the arrow keys but using just the mouse doesn't really seem to help me any. I like where it seems to be going though and the graphics and audio and everything are nice but I wasn't really able to figure out how to play.

Stillness of the Beast by ryann 2013-12-17T21:07:00

@ TexisbornToFrag, Ekilibr: I added space bar key to draw out your sword which helps a little but the game does play best with mouse and keyboard. To be honest I really hadn't considered tracking pads when making the game, I'll be sure to keep that in mind better next time.

As for the lack of direction that simply got dropped as the time was running out but the game is easy enough to replay. It's not exactly user friendly but it is kind of funny to me having your character die within the first five seconds and having to figure out what went wrong.

Bowerbird Quest by mcapraro 2013-12-17T07:14:00

It's kind of annoying how you can't drop things but I guess I should be more careful with my jumping. The artwork is incredible.

ONE SHOT by João Kucera 2013-12-18T00:20:00

I love the disco theme and soundtrack. I was able to find and inject my target eventually but there seemed to be some bugs involved with that and the lighting. I never knew who my stalker was or ran into them at all so that could have been interesting.

The Man who Never Came Back by narsil 2013-12-18T00:00:00

I wish there was more levels there but the art, animation, music, and cutscenes were all done well. You're bringing it way back there starting me at the beginning of the level for every mistake :p

One For All & All For One by BlazingFanfish 2013-12-17T06:51:00

I really love the artstyle. The combat is kind of confusing but also interesting, I like the idea of having to play an rpg where you only get 1hp.

You Only Get One Key! by etirflita 2013-12-18T01:26:00

Reminiscent of Chip's Challenge. The music is kind of haunting and catchy. Obviously needs different colors of key and lock combinations to really make for an interesting game.

Darwinism by wilsonl 2013-12-18T01:35:00

Pretty interesting game, you kind of get the feeling though at some point there's just going to be too many jellyfish and not enough fish to eat and there's no way around that happening whereever the levels were programmed to be set too high. Maybe add some more different kinds of creatures to interact with and a victory condition.

Choose Wisely by zconnelly13 2013-12-17T07:06:00

Went straight for the kitteh. I actually liked the floating movement but maybe it could have been a little more difficult.

($SRCROOT)\dungeon by kirbytails7 2013-12-17T06:57:00

I like the take on action roguelikes and the hacker graphics style. The movement and combat could have been better since those are so important to the genre.

First Impressions by Norgg 2013-12-19T05:05:00

If only shaking hands with a real person came with timer bars.

List of Regrets by evilseanbot 2013-12-20T19:11:00

Played the post compo version, the story is pretty funny. Music sounds nice but should sync up better on loops. Could still have been longer!
