Something Magical by wasd 2020-04-26T06:38:05Z

Cute little game, nice and relaxing to play. The music got repetitive after a while but obviously with a compo jam that's always going to be an issue. Really well done, congrats :)

Triage by phi 2020-05-01T02:05:10Z

I absolutely adored this game, hilarious stuff! The difficulty curve could probably be a little bit harder towards the end but it was decent throughout. I loved the mechanic of needing to put doctors in the mincer, super stressful when you don't get the organs you want! The walk cycle suited the mood perfectly. My only criticism is that the pixel perfect selection of the organs/doctors was a little frustrating at times, a bigger collision box may have helped. The ability to move doctors around the room freely might have also helped with the tactical depth of the game. A really solid entry, you should be very proud of it. I'd love to see this game with a bit more development time. Hopefully you can check out my game too - https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/feed-the-monster-1

Planet Defenders For Hire by paulhocker 2020-04-26T06:46:18Z

Fun for a few minutes but the action gets a bit bland after a while. Some kind of in-game control explanation would have been useful. The sound got very annoying.

Into the Abyss by Pie-Tras 2020-04-21T03:03:51Z

Interesting concept that I was initially very intrigued by, but after the first station I encountered I ran into problems. I couldn't seem to get anywhere, and the other stations I encountered didn't seem to do anything at all. After several runs of not encountering anything and running out of power I got frustrated. I feel like with a game that is primarily exploration based that the resource allocation was a bit overly strict. Having said that, the mood and atmosphere of the game were top notch. I'd love to see this game further developed.

Drop the egg Jeff by Dextreon 2020-04-21T10:56:18Z

Goddamn Jeff, get your shit together.

Flock for Feast by Antti Haavikko 2020-04-25T01:16:30Z

Very addictive little game you have here! Only real criticisms I have are that the sound effect played when the baddie runs into you damn near blew my eardrums out, and maybe a bit too much white noise in the mix. The random level design sometimes drops a turd on you as well which I guess makes the high score chart a bit of a crapshoot. If noone is really on the same playing field than a portion of the score perhaps reflects how lucky you got with that.

Having said that, the game is a lot of fun to play and the music adds to the feel of it. The birds are fun to control and I love the dual mechanic of the poop boost.

NecroTyper by Tadej 2020-04-21T10:42:40Z

I'm a horrible inaccurate typist so this was unbelievable difficult for me. I never got to the point where I could trial different units. The sound was good but as I sucked it sounded like my keyboard was made of breaking bones. Would be cool to see this with a bit more dev time.

Charge it! by TwistedHawk 2020-04-21T12:08:10Z

Pretty difficult game! I liked it and I'll definitely be coming back to attempt to finish it later. Well done guys!

The Last Burito by lazarche 2020-04-22T05:39:41Z

Not a bad little game, interesting backstory to say the least. Gameplay was fluid and fairly intuitive, powerups could use some balancing. Put 8 points into attack strength and the difference felt negligible.

Alright, We're Gonna Walk Now... by Inkajoo 2020-04-21T10:30:53Z

Green shirt guy is a better friend than I would be. Sit in your shitty pants, I don't care. Great idea for a game though, hilarious and aggravating in equal measures. Not knowing where I parked my car made me feel a bit like I was also drunk.

Gaia by Caveman54 2020-04-26T06:56:24Z

Interesting game. Points for the music, points off for the unrelenting hammering and drill noises.

UnLeeched by Jason Q 2020-04-21T03:52:34Z

I appreciate a good pun, unleeched was a pretty fun little game. I liked that the blood I was haemorrhaging everywhere served as a trail marker for where I'd already been for the bigger levels. Tight platforming but maybe missing one or two elements to really make the gameplay pop. For a second I thought the guys were throwing margaritas at me until I realised it's a potion or something. Cool tunes, nice crisp visuals, cool but disturbing idle anim for the leech. Well executed :)

Mycelium by BlobRoss 2020-04-21T02:19:51Z

Cute graphics and a fun little take on the tower defence genre. Took me a few tries to figure out what was going on. The action gets a bit cluttered and the water can feels a little under-powered but everything else felt great. Spent about 10 mins playing and got a high score of 161.

Feed The Monster by Svalinn85 2020-04-25T00:38:44Z

@antti-haavikko Wow, thank you for the amazing amount of feedback! You raised a lot of good points there and we'll definitely keep them in mind with future projects. I'm glad you enjoyed our game :)

Feed The Monster by Svalinn85 2020-04-26T06:22:46Z

@midnightmist Thanks! Glad you enjoyed playing our game. There was a lot of functionality that we would have added but we ran out of time. Thanks for the feedback :)

Letter to Thomas by LouieJams 2020-04-21T01:20:06Z

Maybe the postman should have spent more time looking where he was going instead of reading someone's private mail and he wouldn't have gotten that broken leg that he so strongly deserves. Gorgeous pixel art, soothing atmosphere and an interesting little tale. The puzzles maybe a little overly simple but you've done really well for a solo dev doing this kind of project. Well done :)

shopalypse by Keravon 2020-04-21T11:32:09Z

If I end up with a higher score than the other guy, then I get to live for even longer because I'm definitely going to eat that corpse. Fun game, digging the soundtrack! Well done guys <3

Captain Bean and lil JalapeƱo by Tsamf 2020-04-21T03:17:09Z

The cover art was nice and the concept sounded fun but the execution wasn't great. The gravity was all sorts of weird, like you got it backwards or something? A quick ascent with a slower descent would have made a sense of sorts but the reverse of that feels bizarre to control. A lack of any tutorial or even a listing of inputs is a pretty big misstep. Control feel is everything to a platformer and you really need to work on nailing that system to make it enjoyable. I'd recommend playing a few platformers that you really enjoy and then trying to recreate that feel to get an idea of how it works. I'd like to see where you could take it with a bit more dev time, however in its current state it's not very enjoyable.

Caterpillar Quest by TurtleFlyte 2020-04-21T11:05:11Z

Super cute and wholesome game :)

Block Pusher by Pixipit 2020-04-21T02:29:08Z

Pretty fun but my finger got a bit sore after a while :P The music stopped looping after a few minutes which was a shame because I was enjoying it as it lent to the feel of the game. I think it would have benefitted from another mechanic or two but is still fun to play as is.
