LD53 — Delivery

Ultimate Pigeon Post by Yorsh 2023-05-05T02:08:49Z

Using the attacks made me laugh every time. Something about the juxtaposition between the bird-delivering-mail setting and the absolute destruction. Really impressive and fun! I would also agree with others that the controls were a tiny bit confusing, but I got used to them quickly, and the tutorial progression was really helpful! Personally I didn't mind that the letters showed up each time, since at least a couple times I accidentally clicked away before I could read them and/or forgot what they said...

Really wonderful design, and interesting controls! The collisions were frustrating/maybe too punishing at times, but the aesthetic and level design kept it engaging. :)

Handle With Care by HumanIsRed 2023-05-02T22:05:50Z

Really incredible work; I'm impressed on a technical and aesthetic and conceptual level. I will echo some other comments in that I found the assembly process a little frustrating. I does take a while to get oriented, but once that hurdle is passed it's really fun to try to put something together. In a longer/more polished version of this game, I'd probably start with an even more simple array of parts so that the player can get used to the building process more gradually.

Top notch puns. The bullet hell angle was unexpected, and I enjoyed it quite a bit, especially with the challenge of trying to read the texts (which were great, by the way) while dealing with everything else. Great job getting all those rap lyrics out in such a short span of time!

Purrfect Delivery by Mashiro 2023-05-02T21:50:50Z

I really enjoyed this! The pop-ups were hilarious, and the challenge of solving the navigation puzzles while dealing with them was really fun. The visuals are also super cute!

There's a tiny bug I found in the last level; when going downward, the blue displays the wrong arrow direction when clicked.

🗣️ MR SPEECH: The Purr-fect Pitch by Choo 2023-05-05T02:03:30Z

Fantastic. 10/10. My team bounced around the idea of a rhythm game but discarded it; this has made those unrealized dreams come true.

@choo By the way, our project uses FMOD, too and we had some major audio issues at first (on Firefox and Safari only?), but in that case it mostly turned out I had forgotten disable the option to load banks at initialization (sigh). In your case, it might be more to do with the number of streaming assets...? I had some mild crackling when I played it, but nothing major. Sometimes adjusting the buffer size can help (but in a low-latency situation like this, may not be workable), and also telling it to explicitly use JavaScript audio rather than leaving it on auto.

LD59 — Signal

Mixed Signals by ChelDav 2026-04-22T22:16:28Z

Great work finishing your project! It's definitely good to start with small finishable things and Twine is a nice way to practice putting together a game script/flow.

I know it's just meant to be a proof of concept, but one thought I had is that this might be stronger _without_ the descriptions of the three candidates at the beginning of the game. In a typical otome/romance game, the art tells you a lot about each LI (love interest) before you even meet them. But with Twine being only text, I think having to guess what the characters are about through the questions would really push your demo toward feeling like _gameplay_. In other words, make it a bit of a mystery. Sort of like Love Is Blind, I guess. At the end, reveal the characters and perhaps surprise the player with who they ended up liking most. :)

Mixed Signals by Fractal 2026-04-22T21:53:14Z

I like the signal matching mechanic! Do agree it could progress faster, but then again, I have a lot of experience with waveforms, so... Small non-gameplay thing, the bgm was a bit much for me. Since the pace of the game isn't that fast, I think it could be more out of the way.

Directive 13 by Nabil Shelim 2026-04-21T19:19:08Z

Great art direction, and definitely on-theme. Almost made me want to play Papers, Please again after all these years. I found the background audio a bit distracting/stressful, both from the loudness and the mechanical noises. The stress kind of added to the game, though. It was hard to tell that the stamp was supposed to be draggable without some kind of cursor change, but I got there eventually. Good work!

Fading Signal by RushB 2026-04-21T19:21:11Z

Got more emotional over this one than I would have expected, haha. There were a few ducks that it took me a while to find; maybe the heartbeat cue could be more salient. Other than that, really nice atmosphere, and I was motivated to play through to the end. Enjoyed it. :)

灯台の見守り — Lighthouse's Vigil by Tanjou 2026-04-21T19:32:26Z

Very nice concept, and the atmosphere is cute! The audio is great, and I love the art. Personally, I found the lighthouse beam hard to use. It's too slow to catch up with the mouse when you move it a long distance, and it should probably be a little bit stronger, or have a way to be powered up a bit for later levels. I also felt that the light became too small at close distances. I think some small touch-ups would help to make this really fun. Still, I enjoyed it!

Unpatterned by nnm 2026-04-22T22:27:49Z

Really liked this concept! Always here for symbols as a conlang person... Getting to the end of the first sequence and realizing the puzzles worked two different ways and I had been doing them 'backward' was a fun paradigm shift.
