help i'm stuck after the four first level :( i'll get back here to retry and see If i missed something

2026-04-21 22:03

@rhookx You need to collect enough collectibles (the golden blocks in the levels) within first column of levels, then enter the correct symbol sequence password to enter the next column of levels.

BTW, there was a bug with the collectible collection status display, which we have hotfixed:)

coda-highland 2026-04-22 19:34

I got stuck trying to decode the signal on the 3rd column. I had all of the collectibles and I thought I understood what the symbols meant, but nothing I put in unlocks the 4th column. Otherwise, this is a well done puzzle game and I enjoyed it up until then!

luumi 2026-04-22 22:27

Really liked this concept! Always here for symbols as a conlang person... Getting to the end of the first sequence and realizing the puzzles worked two different ways and I had been doing them 'backward' was a fun paradigm shift.

2026-04-23 04:31

@coda-highland Glad you enjoyed it!

If you got this part (and you grabbed everything, so probably yes), the code should work—but a couple things can trip you up:

+ It checks the full sequence, not a suffix. If you mis-enter, hit ESC and try again. + It wants the whole sequence, not just 4 digits. (If you got it, you’ll know what I mean—if not, a tiny hint 😉)

Sorry you got stuck! If this doesn’t sound like what happened, I’d love to hear more. And if you keep going, let me know how it feels!

2026-04-23 04:44

@luumi Glad that moment landed! That twist is what the whole thing grew out of :)

geeni 2026-04-23 13:56

Oh nice! I love so much the subvertion of expectations of the first world where you think you understand what the symbols mean but its actually the opposite. Sadly i couldnt figure out the last symbol before i runned out of time but ill come back and concure that!

croped 2026-04-23 13:58

Like the idea but didnt even get the first ones correct so i must be missing something. maybe some more guidance in the beginning would have prob helped but i might have just missed it^^ still cool entry good job!

jan-sate 2026-04-23 14:29

That's a fun game! Took me a while to figure out the last symbol. :D

coda-highland 2026-04-23 16:50

@tmc Yeah, I know I was inputting it right (I realized all of that) but apparently my interpretation of the symbols managed to work for the levels but somehow not for the passwords!

2026-04-23 18:55

@coda-highland Oh, I think I might know what happened. If the smaller symbol was read as something larger, it can create a weird situation where you keep bumping into walls but still manage to full-clear the chapter. If that still doesn't sound like what you ran into, I'd love to hear how you were reading the symbols (no need to spoil, just the sum of the numbers). Either way, this actually helped me find a sneaky unintended solution. So thanks, I'll note it in the changelist.

Great interpretation! Great puzzle mechanics. Minimalistic artstyle and graphincs are cool. Love this project!

tailchaser 2026-04-30 15:14

Had a fun time playing it and decoding my movements! I'm a big fan of puzzle games and this entry is a great puzzle game! I love it! 🏹💘

imnotvegan 2026-05-01 16:27

This is a very clever take on the puzzle genre! I loved the meta-mechanic of having to deduce what each symbol means by observing the square's movement. It felt like I was decoding a secret language, which perfectly fits the 'Signal' theme. 'OBEY THE SIGNAL' is a great atmospheric hook for the intro.

One suggestion for improvement would be the 'onboarding' or tutorial phase. I initially struggled to realize that the levels must be completed exactly according to the sequence at the top. Providing clearer feedback when the player deviates from the sequence would help avoid confusion. The graphics are quite minimal, but the core logic is very strong. Great job on a unique concept!

2026-05-02 14:46

@imnotvegan Thanks for playing and the feedback! We did go for a pretty aggressive take on both the mechanic and the theme, so it can be hard to pick up at first. Didn’t really have time to build a smoother onboarding during the jam, sadly :( In hindsight, we probably should’ve limited player inputs in the intro to make the symbol–action mapping clearer, and added a bit more guidance once the real levels start.

I really like the consept and the implementation of the puzzles. They offer a just enough challenge without feeling overwhelming. The progression felt well phased and rewarding. The game really made me want to continue on and get to the end. I think the minimal graphics work really well here. They give a fun retro hacking kind of vibe to the game!

icebell 2026-05-08 22:19

really cool concept, I enjoyed it!

infinitywhile 2026-05-08 23:22

Wow, that was really good puzzle. I really like going like breeze through levels until the last one in the column, and then slowly trying to piece out what you missed on previous levels to figure out the signal. And the last signal was so clever, !> reminder for me to look through all controls that games offer lmao

Also maybe I found bug: when you click **tab** in level menu, your game unfocuses and you need to click back with mouse. And I actually would like to have option to update my notes from there too, not only when I'm in the level

@infinitywhile Thanks a lot, really glad you enjoyed it! We spent a lot of time on the level structure, so I’m happy it landed.

And yeah, the Tab unfocus thing is definitely a bug. We noticed it way too late to fix properly :(
