LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Sacrificial Sam by HitchH1k3r 2018-12-10T07:13:47Z

This was an excellent puzzle game. This is what great level design is all about! Thanks for making such a great game, I had a lot of fun! I wish I had constructive criticism, but i jut had too much fun figuring out the levels lol

Diortem by Ilseroth 2018-12-06T23:23:55Z

I'm not much of a gamer (ironic, I know) and my skills are pretty awful, but I was still able to get a solid handle on the controls and difficulty of fighting off enemies. Once I noticed that the range of the enemies noticing me was smaller than the range of my guns, I was able to manage pretty well. I loved the concept of losing player functionality in order to progress, and the lack of obvious landmarks throughout the map added an extra degree of entertainment as I did my best to remember my way back the the first room. Thanks for a fun game! :)

Corn Field by Camilla Camatta 2018-12-06T22:24:24Z

I liked the graphics and basic gameplay concept. I was not sure when I was losing/winning at times, but enjoyed the aesthetics of the game. I got a creepy/childlike fun out of it.

Slow Food Burger by Brandon Hare 2018-12-10T06:18:37Z

I was so surprised when the cops showed up...I knew the risks when I saw the light turn red..but I REALLY wanted that burger lol. All the cop cars flew over like a big car wreck from the Blues Brothers hahahaha great to catch me off guard!

Sky Fortress by Quasar47 2018-12-10T06:36:28Z

This project looks like a lot of work went into it! very cool to not only have a 3d game, but a multiplayer one at that. If any constructive criticism, I would say it was hard to aim/keep the camera from drifting while playing. Keep it up, this could be a really cool game if you reworked it for a general release!

For Brain ! by nolifedev 2018-12-10T06:00:10Z

I really liked the concept! I sacrificed zombies a lot on the second (or was it the third?) level. The spikes on the edge of the clip kept killing me when I didn't want them to, but the level was still manageable even when I needed to be a little more careful!

LD44 — Your life is currency

Coin Floor by ping78 2019-05-16T02:38:47Z

hi there! great looking game! i wasnt really able to do much past the first enemy that attacked me though because i wasnt able to fight back. were there supposed to be sounds? i was not able to hear anything. overall, my favorite thing was the graphics!

Change Lives by Jack Lance 2019-05-15T03:34:33Z

i wasn't sure what to do at times, but experimenting with the controls made it pretty easy to get a hang of things. some of the levels just required me not to be afraid of taking damage, and others required a creative distribution of stats. overall really creative levels and fun game!

LD45 — Start with nothing

Race Recycle Restart by crazyrems 2019-10-09T20:02:51Z

this game definitely fit the theme, and the music was good for the ambiance! that being said, after 15 minutes of not being sure of what to do, i was finally able to start driving. some of the instructions were enough to get me started, but i feel like between the fact that car parts and the starting point were sometimes very far apart made the beginning of the game kinda feel slow. once i got in the car, i learned that you can drive without tires (and with drag which was a great added touch). driving was also really fun (i think a large part of that was the sound effects and the fast turning). overall, slow start, but great game!

The Only Way is Down by Roka Josh 2019-10-21T20:21:14Z

great game! i loved the cutscenes and the dynamite breaking walls. i have to admit, i repeatedly landed on enemies on big drops, and that often led to me dying pretty quickly. the most i was able to go was the subterranean level 2. hopefully if i have more time between classes i can try again and hopefully i will git gud lol.

JUST A GHOST LOOKING FOR ITS BODY by smileyface 2019-10-09T20:14:54Z

that was a fun game, great graphics and simple to understand mechanics/premise. the slightly tilted direction controls added a layer of difficulty, and dodging the enemies was fun! i wish i got to see the body though- that way i would not feel like i started with nothing and ended without the body. overall, really fun!

We've Got Nothing by Doey 2019-10-09T20:39:29Z

cool idea, i like the addition of different skills/mechanics. my only gripe is with the loose/floaty controls, but thats more of a personal preference. overall very fun!

Trick or Retreat by Lone_Wolf 2019-10-09T20:26:18Z

fun game, despite the fact that as others said, there wasnt any variety between scenes. i dont really see that as that big of a problem though because the game was still fun overall! i like that you got "sent to area 51"

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Deeper Space by NaraJeamfry 2021-05-03T23:09:38Z

music was fun, and after I learned what to avoid and what was ok to touch, I realized the blue disks were all I really needed and restarting after each death made the amount of times I died more bearable. maybe in a future iteration, look at destroying objects instead of knocking them around? at the moment all objects collide with eachother (rigidbodies?), but destroying them with the ammo instead of knocking them out of the way would feel more satisfying. maybe make it so that only the asteroids and the satellites can bounce off each other? and then maybe the other collectables be able to pass through them? I kinda wish the currency didnt increase so slowly, but since the items to purchase are also kinda low cost, i guess it works fine. do you have any plans to continue this game and add more upgrades? if so, maybe add a second coin type to more dramatically increase the currency to afford better/expensive potential upgrades. overall, it was simple, fun, and has room to keep adding to it!

Turn of the Tide by Polyethyleneglykol 2021-05-03T22:55:08Z

love the sounds/music, but it was a bit difficult to understand how to play. I spent a while just trying to make any of the instructions in the "how to play" even have interaction with things on the screen. zooming worked easily, but it was unclear what to actually interact with to make gameplay happen. i have managed to destroy a few locations, drive around in cars, get more troops, and make use of highlighting multiple items at the same time, but it came with a lot of guessing and checking

Cave Golf by RoofloorWall 2021-05-08T20:32:30Z

Once I made it through one rotation of the maps, I actually feel like I finally got the hang of it. I struggled to beat the level with the thin path on the perimeter to go around, but eventually the mechanics started getting easier. I had a few instances where the ball would go behind walls (like the level with the thin perimeter path) which caused the ball to go in strange directions. Also, I agree it was difficult to gauged the power of my strikes. i feel like at times if i was even a hair off from the previous strike, the strength of it was dramatically different. maybe it was just my poor consistency though lol. overall, it was fun and i think it was a great idea for the theme (especially with the looped maps).

Highly Successful Research Submarine by James Macgill 2021-05-03T22:29:17Z

I love the intro/premise. It was a solid transition to the main gameplay, and by ignoring the pictures for the instructions, I had a "frustrating" time lol. that being said, it is probably what a novice would experience IRL. I didn't hear any sounds/audio. was there supposed to be music or sfx? As I made a few trips, I started getting more money and gaming the system to get more money for a few quick shots and coming back to the surface. I Probably missed some good shots if I had just waited though. Overall, more fun than I expected and can see a future for this as maybe a mobile game or something !

Abyss - A Journey Deeper by Dimi_Tree 2021-05-08T19:22:06Z

I loved the scrolling credits, they really fit the theme nicely! Thought the movement was slow, the storytelling was still effective and gave me enough time to let things play out/sink in. Like someone said before me, I liked the transfer of consciousness at play! It reminded me of some of Julio Cortazar's short stories like "Axolotl or "The Night Face Up". If you had any plans to improve the game, I would suggest updating the movement controls for the diving scene, and also make the clipping around objects a bit smaller so that you can partially walk behind objects in a way that creates the illusion of depth. Overall, I thought the slow movement was kinda frustrating at times, but it still helped get the story across, so it was okay regardless
