@nillard Thanks for playing! I patched some stuff that didn't work quite right, like the shower. Should be easier to play and understand now.
It's quite a fun game! The cute little monster makes so many expressions, so taking care of it is so satisfying. The controls/goals are easy to understand (except for electricity, which should have been stated that you only charge after a blackout). The only gripes are that radiation is painfully slow, and only recover a small amount of radiation. If getting the uranium used a small minigame that you can be fast in, it would be more satisfying to play. Still, great game!
Surprisingly fun. I would say to maybe make the power able to be recharged even if there is no blackout, and also if you give the monster anything with a blackout the game's audio will bug out until the power is back on. I also personally just don't like the sound effects. Other than that, good job!
Really enjoyed the game and your art style, keep it up!
Fun and really cute! I had a couple problems getting him to actually eat, I think I almost fed him the wrong food and then put it away. But this was lovely, and the graphics and music were nice
Cute concept, and the main character is adorable! I liked the animations when it was eating or drinking.
Overall, well done \o/
@thatanonoword @weaselswithyourmoney Thanks for playing! We were planning on doing a minigame to turn the electricity back on but there wasn't time to put that in. Also the blackout would stop the player from performing certain actions, but we also didn't have time for that.
@chasen-nesbitt @defectivemelon @sarah Glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!
Really cute idea! I liked how you had to manage a variety of different factors/inputs to take care of the monster - my favorite was picking out food for it. I also liked how it had a different name each time! I did run into a bug where the sound effects started repeating constantly.
Pretty entertaining game! Simple concept, easy understandable control & play style. And a biiig variety of content. Liked monster's animations ;) And generally it's very good polished entry. Very well done!
Very nice entry, i'm impressed by the number of asset, i think it give a very nice mood i love what you did, the gameplay work well and you don't get bored, always something to do, you found a good balance, well done !
cute game!!
Cute little bugger.
Lots of varied mechanics here to keep things mixed up.
Nice work!
Nice entry here! The humor really came thru in the graphics, which were really nicely done overall. The mechanics were simple and easy to understand, but pretty brutal in practice. I think some more diversity in how you retrieve items and otherwise bump up the needs bars would have done a lot for the fun factor, but that's real hard to do in a jam timeframe. Great job!
(+) many different interactions
(+) cute grafics expressing the creatures emotions
(o) does the monster demand special food and what are the effects of it?
(o) when fullfilling a creature's demand, other demands gets worse, why?
(-) using the shower button is still quite tricky, the player needs to hit it quite precisely
(+) there are Audio settings
(+) Music & sounds can be configurated seperatly
@oillen The monster demands random foods and it takes away more hunger if you give it to him. Other demands get worse because you have to balance his different needs and not just spam food or other things at him. The shower button was changed at the last second to be more like a lever and its not perfect, but it does its job.
It's like a Tamagotchi from hell! Love the concept, nailed the "unstable" theme. My only issue is that some of the click targets were a little finicky; the Shower handle, for example, was hard to click reliably. Besides that though,
Nice concept of the theme! Great job!
the good ol pet games. nostalgic i have to say. interesting take! i can't say this game is bad
