LD51 — Every 10 seconds

7 in 1 in 10 by joewan 2022-10-04T21:40:36Z

Impressive minigame collection made in such a short time. Each game had great game feel and audio. My only issue is that 10 seconds felt like a very long time for some of the minigames, but I guess that's the constraints of the game jam theme.

I love how you interpreted 10 seconds. Tight control and a charming character. Amazing work for 48 hours!

I gotta keep working for #1. Haha. Great premise and really fun gameplay. Really captures the feeling of Ludum Dare.

Silvi by nardandas 2022-10-06T04:07:13Z

I love the chill no wrong answer approach to the game. Very relaxing. The zen mode was a nice bonus too when I wanted to make a Redwood. Haha. I liked how things were responsive with a bit of randomness to ensure that you were still paying attention. Lovely game.

ZombieGrade by Jejkobb 2022-10-05T08:36:41Z

Good action, and it felt good to hit zombies. The hit boxes were a little strange as I wasn't quite sure if I had hit a zombie or not until I got magic bullet. Also, the aiming seems to lock up randomly for some reason. I did like the spooky opening music changing to the whimsical music of the actual game though.

Shadow Blood by Dssdiego 2022-10-08T06:16:02Z

Nice pixel art, but I wasn't a huge fan of the 10 second wait for the map to change. Maybe have something to do while we wait for the map to change?

Nightfall by gamebuilder 2022-10-20T06:33:57Z

Cool idea to have an adventure game on a tight time limit and obvious environmental changes. I would have liked the houses to match the theming better, and arrow keys or WSAD would have been more intuitive for controls. Good mood piece overall though.

10 Second Mixtape by Scott Steffes 2022-10-08T06:23:51Z

This is such a creative use of the prompt. Everything is intuitive, and the art is top notch.

House Of Quandary by bflatinteractive 2022-10-08T06:42:23Z

Very simple minigames. I would have liked a twist on some of the minigames though

Hotel Catastrophe by Xeltide 2022-10-04T22:08:17Z

Cute aesthetic. I love the meows. The jump is floaty. An indicator that a customer is unhappy would have been nice too, which would allow you to make the game more hectic like games like Diner Dash. There were times where I was just standing around waiting for cats to arrive or need something. Also, J was a strange choice to use as a button to check in cats as the button isn't naturally where my hands would want to be when controlling the game.

Picking Pumpkins by NikaZ 2022-10-08T05:15:53Z

Cute looking game, but I'm not sure why it opens with the ominous silhouette. Haha. It's a bit slow, and it's awkward having to press a number key for each spell. Maybe it would be better if the mouse wheel was used?

Birdwatching by Iguanana 2022-10-05T08:42:41Z

A cute game. I definitely learned a lot. I would have liked it if it was linear instead of random with the bird appearances though as I got a lot of repeats, so I was never sure if I saw all the birds or not. Loved the look of the birds though.

Sneaky's adventure by Vladimir ins 2022-10-08T05:44:39Z

Nice pixel art and good opening theme. The incremental changes in the guards don't seem enough for me to notice though.

Internal Business Struggle by SimonO 2022-10-08T05:52:07Z

Love the animation and humour

Shadow Seeker by Vivifx 2022-10-08T06:32:42Z

Great atmosphere and art. The platforming felt tight and responsive, but it was annoying having so many platforms above me catching me and slowing my momentum. I would have like the camera bit lower when I was jumping as there were multiple times when I wanted to jump to another platform, but missed it because the platform I wanted land on wasn't visible.

Henry's Spelling Adventure by Yuio 2022-10-04T21:31:41Z

I wish my old typing training games as a kid looked this good. Way better looking than the Mavis Beacon games. Haha. My main feedback is to add some sound and that the thin red lettering can sometimes be hard to read. A white, black, or grey outline around the letters would help with accessibility.

Weighty Weenie by Joshua Pitaniello 2022-10-04T21:58:00Z

Love the silly aesthetic, but the controls are weird. I'm not sure if I would have went with tank controls and sometimes my left and right buttons would stop working. I'd also love it if the items had physics as it would be hilarious to slap an item across the screen using the character's dick like a golf club. haha

Clique Hell High by Sean Esopenko 2022-10-03T22:57:03Z

FYI if anyone is getting any lag with the web version, download the windows version if possible. Also, the game does not run on mobile at this point unfortunately.

Clique Hell High by Sean Esopenko 2022-10-07T00:11:04Z

@nardandas Thanks for the feedback. I definitely wanted to do more patterns, but we were limited by time constraints. I'm with you in that I love the stress and beauty of narrowly navigating established patterns

You Have 10 Seconds! by Shibaya 2022-10-08T06:46:41Z

I love the tutorial/intro screen idea, but I did pause and wonder when the game would start for a bit. Maybe a flashing area to go to next area would be nice.

Zombie Bomb 10 by Sparkinex 2022-10-08T06:37:31Z

Great animation work. Felt good to shoot zombies.
