Funny game! I liked it!
Loading stuck at 90% :(
This game was awesome. It is so satisfying to see your army grow. Sometimes some of my creatures got stuck on a wall. Great work
Great Game! That's awesome. The King had no changes against my minions! I really liked the gameplay loop and the graphics. I would love to see a full game from this.
I like how the graphics, soft music, and enemy types work together to tell a story with a mostly relaxing gameplay loop of rescuing tiny creatures to overpower enemies, while doing a bit of avoiding tough crowds in the early game.
@brainles-etertainment It takes a while at 90% but it works. Because it was lagging for a streamer, I uploaded a downloadable windows version today (but it was lagging for the streamer because his PC was broken, all other games lagged as well). Tho you can't exit the windows version, you have to use Alt+F4.
Thanks for submitting your game to the stream! If you wanted to watch it again in the future heres the vod of the stream (with a chapter for your game)

Only really yours and the (browser version of the) one after it lagged, was able to run some other webgl games fine. Since it worked on edge im assuming its something to do with the browser settings though being underpowered than what your game expects it to be
Cute game! The controls felt a bit weird at first, but then I understood that it was actually very clever how this was made. As a group of little critters can be manipulated this way. I love the little indicators on the LD page btw. It makes the whole experienced feel polished :-)
Also: I loooove random levels! How did you ensure the levels would be always playable?
@ategon All games in the linked video are lagging, it's just less noticable for the ones where the camera isn't moving. On the game you played after ours, you checked the Task Manager and it just froze with the message "Task Manager is not responding". This isn't normal, this means your PC has some issues. Maybe the streaming is taking up 100% of your CPU or RAM or something.
Don't get me wrong, I am happy about every player and every bit of feedback, I just said that to make sure no one thinks our game has any technical issues and so that everyone knows the windows version was an afterthought (there is no "quit to desktop" button, you have to Alt+F4 for example).
@wouter52 The dungeon generator is actually extremely simple. There are pre-made rooms (1x1, 1x2, L-Shape, 2x2 in various versions with different decorations). They are all spawned randomly, just where there's free space. Then all rooms are connected to their neighbour rooms. Just copy/paste from one Tilemap to another, with a certain offset. Finally I find the farthest point from the start to spawn the exit, then the shop at a random edge, and finally the enemies, cages and free critters.
It is always playable because all rooms are always connected (and because no enemies are allowed around the exit/shop tile).

@leorid stream is set to be a lower fps than my actual pc so ends up showing more choppy in the video when im not actually getting that. Checked again after stream and get the same I did when streaming (even after a computer restart and things like task manager, etc. working fine). I dont think its a technical issue on your side since its just one browser mostly affected but just wanted to give you a heads up that it could affect some people due to limitations of browsers and how people normally set things in them
download version works flawlessly though
@ategon Thanks a lot for looking into this issue and even trying out the download version.
For me it works flawlessly on Opera, Edge, Chrome and Firefox in 2k as well as 4k. No frame stutter, performance issues or other problems.
I really enjoyed playing this! I liked moving an entire hoarde of creatures at once. It was a lot of fun, and I'd love to see more of it. One suggestion would be to add tiny health bars above enemies and the tiny creatures. Otherwise, well done!
This is soooo fun! Really liked the game (the final boss is tough, i'm happy we were so many :P Very polished, cute graphics, floaty controls, but I guess that's by design. It's kinda fun and frustrating at the same time that some critters stay stuck behind walls, which sometimes I turned around to go get them, and sometimes... couldn't be bothered ;) Incredible submission, I'm sorry you didn't have more ratings!
Cute, awesome and fun to play. Really jolly little game which is polished & solid. I'd love to see a post-ludum update! Excellent game!
I had trouble navigating with just one slime at first. I feel like this would benefit from having the option of seeing the invisible leader. That said, this is a very clever game, and has a lot of potential!
Wow, that was a lot of fun. Best game I played so far. With a single creature at the start I thought these controls suck, the blob jumps around wildly, am I even controlling it :D When you got a crowd going it all made sense :) When the dungeon respawned, the layout looked exactly the same, I thought ok, the game just starts over again: I didn't know you had a generator in the background. Impressive! A quick and dirty way to make it feel more like a different dungeon: Replace the tile colors on respawn. Commanding a big crowd was really satisfying, although it made me hesitant to sacrifice creatures on upgrading them. But it's a great way to control the crowd size if you prefer a smaller force. Awesome gameplay mechanic! I played the web version on itch and had no performance problems.
Pretty unique game so far. Controlling the movement was hard i was too focused on the slime jumping all around but thats just about the only thing that I didnt enjoy. Art was spot on and the audio was great. Randomized maps seemed to work really well.
Pretty cool - liked the idea of playing as the swarm of creatures. It maybe could be cool to have a central 'champion' that's it's clearer where he is headed, and some path-finding etc so critters don't get left behind when snared on corners / rocks etc.
Overall a fun game with lots of depth for a compo , definitely one that could be evolved post-jam, especially the levelling up mechanic and some more creatures to use :)
Interesting game! I struggled a bit with the controls in the beginning, felt like the creature moved a bit erratic and difficult to aim, probaby cos I wasn't playing with a controller. but a great game nonetheless. loved the procedurally generated levels
This was a lot of fun! like someone has already said, the controls seem odd until you get a large group of creatures, then it makes sense. And I like the way the creatures flow around obstacles. Started to seem easy until level 4 when those knights wiped out everything except one blob and had to build back up again. I really like the control of a 'squad' of tiny creatures, very well done! :)
Very creative entry :fire: I really like this originalgameplay and I also like the art. You can easily improve the game by implementing more advanced game (fight) mecanics. The prison providing you units reminds me in some way the campaign of AOM, where you can free some units to rally it to your army
