Well made game, nice job
Awesome job! I liked playing this one a lot. Good job on nailing the atmosphere, it was pretty comfy honestly
Omg the genie cameo made me cackle. I had so much fun and ended up taking the body of the big golem and I still feel like I missed so much. Great job!
nice and cozy, i kept throwing everything I was making behind the menus lol
Very fun, wasn't sure what to do with the farie wings but had a lot of fun summoning the demons!
Really cool, nice twist on the classic combiniation games to make the resources limited! It would be cool if some of the items had uses in the world too.
@adam-konig try combining the faerie wing with something else to make a useful helper ;)
Well made game. It was a little confusing right at the beginning, but then everything clicked and I was able to go around collecting and combining. I didn't get the connection to summoning early on until I combined my first crystal and then I was like "oooh." I enjoyed the eerie music. I'm not sure why the player is forced out of the crafting/sent back to the crafting when the day is up. Is there time pressure? Maybe I missed it, but I was just re-entering the crafting after it kicked me out because I still had more to try. It was a bit annoying unless I only had a specific amount of days or something. I was able to get into a new body, but there sure was more to discover. It certainly feels like you were able to put a lot into the game for a jam game.
@cody-holt thanks for the feedback! Honestly, we probably could get rid of the timing mechanism - it's a holdover from when we thought we'd have the game take a limited number of days. We later decided it was more fun to have the core of the game be to work through the crafting tree / exploring more than being time-pressured, but we didn't think to actually remove them haha. If we ever made this into a real game we'd probably let you switch between the two modes freely.
I was not expecting the depth of this at all when I started! A lot of fun working through the crafting tree and all the little puzzles in the overworld, definitely agree that the timing mechanic was unnecessary, but it wasn't too annoying. Great job!
Those squirrels deserved their fate. Nice game. I'm glad there was a skip mechanic for the wait time for day/night. Really kept the game moving.
For some reason I imagined I was about to craft a squirrel with a knife, and I guess I slipped or something because that is not what I got. And the demon was not happy about it.
I like the idea of the two phases, I wanted to make a game like that myself before (feast on villagers during the night, build a fortress during the day) but ran out of time before even half was done. Implementing both of them and making them interlinked in the way they were was really engaging. I'm glad there was a time limit just because otherwise I would've spent way too long outside exploring, but then also not sure it added anything to the crafting section.
I enjoyed my playthrough, but after I lost I didn't want to do all of that again to have another attempt, so stopped there.
I didn't expect to spend so much time on the game, I found myself going through house/night cycles, collecting the most resources and trying different combinations to see what I could get. I liked the genie summoning with the easter egg, it was funny, really well done to the team.
This game was so chill and relaxing, i was planning on only testing the game but I got sucked in for 30 min, my only advice would be to have the recipe written in the description of items. Nice entry!!
I made a video compilation and this game is part of it! Hope it's useful for you! https://youtu.be/NJKVSQgn7-E?si=pIClVOYC3hTwkT0Y
@joeshanahan so fun to watch you play, thanks for including us in your video!
Exploring the options for combining elements was very cool!
Man I just wanted to find all possible combinations. Got addicted way to fast - would love to see somekind of information where I can see all possible combos :DD
wow I spent a good amount of time on this game. It's really nice! crafting system is very deep knowing you made it in such a short time.
I like this game! You guys are great!
This remind me a web game I play some days ago ! Nice mix between assembling item and seeking for object to merge realy nice entry ! :)
This is what a quirrel stew diet does to one! :D I liked the idea, I'm still figuring out how to make my stew stronger for that poor witch in the woods, but I feel this could be turned into Harvest moon - esque game, where you can summon different creatures and bring them stuff :) nice one!
I really like the world building and the mood you have built here. Exploring the world was fun, and combining materials was engaging. I'm glad I created a body on my first playthrough, because I may have sacrificed a squirrel or two on my second... oops xD
Very thourough game, love the world and the day/night cycle. Impressive amount combination system and interesting story.
Sound could use a little work, but other than that, this game almost feels close to being a market ready small game.
Oh, and I got a couple of fire crystals, never found a use for them, as they didn't work on the golem.
This is a really cool little game! I enjoyed exploring and crafting and seeing what I could make. I enjoyed figuring out the crafting, though I might have liked a little more guidance on what to combine, especially at the beginning I felt I was guessing in the dark (no pun intended!) - also I have a terrible memory and kept forgetting what I had already figured out. That being said, I enjoyed playing around with the crafting system. Great work!
Fun game! I liked trying out combinations, but the blood demon ended up being angry with me… :’)
Good job! :)
Reminded me of that old mobile game where you combine elements, but combined with a narrative and a character on a map, neat!
Bro this game has so much content for a 3-day jam game! You guys really worked hard on this
The crafting is engaging and combined with having to go outside to get the items plus getting tips from the characters on what to do next makes for a really good loop. The story and mood were on point as well, and that final text was a badass way to finish the game in my opinion. I almost stopped playing after creating the blood demon thinking that it was the ending, but I'm glad I didn't.
Very great :sunglasses:
I loved this entry, had so much fun exploring and trying the different combinations. Like others have said this game has so much depth to it for a jam game it's impressive! How many endings are there? I want to keep playing after being damned to hell for eternity haha
I got the "good" ending :) Great game!
