Great game with evocative music and visuals. Was a bit confused if there's specific clues we should be looking for during the interrogations, but it was still a delight to play ^.^ . Could definitely see this being fleshed out into a bigger game.
Very cool game!
@ashley-gb Thank you so much! There are clues, but they are intentionally obscure, so it's hard to find everyone on the first try (but it's possible). We hope the game will be fun to replay at least once, knowing some information from the first run.

this art is amazing! does your team's artist have any social media where they post?
This was neat. Loved the visuals. The music was good -- I would have liked to see a bit of extra sound design in the world (ex. hearing the children's choir in the church), especially since we (understandably) don't get to see the insides, but that's a minor complaint. Great job!
I LOVED the art great job. The dialogue was also well written. And there was definetly a strong mood to the game. The characters felt very believable. I liked the concept of the game aswell. My only comments are that I wish the music was more varied (it felt a bit repetive as people will naturally be sitting a while to read the dialogue.
amazing job, art and writting, its rare for a game to be this long and stay so cohesive
@jsmgames here's our artist! https://twitter.com/joyfulmuraena (we'll make a proper credits section a little bit later)

Awesome game, thank you! :) I very much enjoyed the art and audio used in the game, really complements the game perfectly!
Oh man this was so fun! The scope and the level of polish are so impressive for a 3-day project. The art is an absolute delight, has so much style and personality - I especially loved the IN-SI-LA's and the Inquisitor's designs, and the black-and-white art with minimalistic shading is both atmospheric AND a smart shortcut for jam conditions. The UI and soundscape are immersive (with very pleasant writing sounds!) and the writing is *chef's kiss*. The characters are charismatic and a joy to talk to (the Innkeeper deserves a special mention - I fell in love from the first lines), and the world generally feels "lived in" and naturally flowing convos. All-around strong narrative and integration with choice mechanics - I definitely got the "WHAT DO YOU _MEAN, EXECUTE??" whiplash at the end of the first day, it really sold the Inquisitor's evil - the progression of his callousness felt very real also. You guys did an amazing job <3!

@17-confused-villains What a heartwarming comment, thank you so much! So satisfying to see how you figured out the Inquisitor's character (he really is an absolute psycho, god bless!)
A great game! So much worked done! From the concept to the graphics and narrative design.

Fantastic experience, it really kept us engaged! Although we didn't play it more than once, we're really interested to see the other outcomes. Amazing vibe! :)
(btw, is there a Pathologic influence here?)

@qubit Thank you! Yeah, we all love Pathologic lol
This is PHENOMENAL. Absolutely stunning. I love the art, the audio, the spooky vibes of the little descriptions when you go to each location were so fun. The characters are so distinct and beautiful. I won immediately but had to see the other endings and the utter failure ending is fantastic. Also have to shout out the powerful queer vibes of this game, truly one of my favorite things about it. Congratgs on making such a cool thing!

What an impressive game! Loved the character design, specially the inquisitor, since I'm a fan of Vampire Hunter D, and the UI, story, sound effects and the music, everything on point!

I often see big teams achieve much less or produce something of low cohesion. You clearly have a method, it appears everyone did their part, I hope you keep working together.
I had to give up trying eventually as executing a man of cloth for the third time would be too much for one evening. But anyway, I had a feeling this will be a good actual gaming experience and I wasn't disapointed. Apart from the obvious, that the graphics and audio is above average, what I like in particular is thoughtful writing and how all characters who remain alive have a continuation of their stories in the next day. Quite clever spectrum of differences between characters as well, though now that I think about it the blacksmith lady was the most boring one, as I couldn't quite distil her individuality. As in, she is independent and cocky but the innkeeper already stole that show, and so all that is left is a dismissive "I'm too busy to cooperate" generic NPC, it could be that I missed something but she seemed like a spot filler. But, I get that writing is hard work as well and this is a jam game. The curse of making a high quality jam game is you have to listen to complaints about tiniest of issues :P
i had to come back and get the rest of the ending, best game so far

Really liked how the game pushes the player towards thinking like the Inquisitor.
Killer stuff!! Only had time for one playthrough, but I was really impressed with how dynamic it clearly was, with potential dialogues being cut off by my choices many times over and leaving me curious to come back and see what I'd missed.
As other have said - really cohesive too - art, text, sound and narrative all really fit together beautifully. Definitely the product of a team with a singular vision. Well done to all involved.
This is one of those killer entries. The imagery just immediately grips you. Absolutely impressed!

Love the artwork, and nice character and world building - felt immersed in the the town!
A narrative-driven game with a very nice presentation, well done overall!
Incredible writing and art style! I enjoyed the "mystery" aspect a lot and I'm super impressed with character designs - spells Yoshitaka Amano for me, amazing work!

Wow! I loved it! The art and the music are great, and the writing is really good. The innkeeper and the fool are both so witty, and I loved that there are female characters in roles that women would not be able to perform during inquisition times. I was able to figure out all three heretics on the first playthrough, which felt very satisfying. But even more satisfying was letting them summon In-Si-La on the second playthrough. Overall, amazing job!
A game that I quite like from its style, music, text to gameplay design. I even think it just needs a little polish before it can be tried on Steam. Great job my friends.
Lovely visuals, the dialogue was interesting. I missed a sinner at the end, so I think I will try again to see if I can win. No real complaints from me, it did everything it needed to.

Thank you all for taking the time to write kind words! Such comments make all the effort worth it.
AWESOME art style and strong execution! I really enjoyed the story, dark and atmospheric. The audio helps immerse you in the game, wonderful music and nice little sounds. Great job!!!
Beautiful entry to the jam that felt like a fully finished and polished game! Amazing art work and great writing. I feel like you guys achieved the perfect balance of what a gamejam game should be like. Full game loop, replayability, polished look and feel and not too long that it gets repetative or boring. Awesome job guys!

Loooved it, perfect, 10/10, the art is gorgeous, I'll be following the artist:-)
I just wish there was a better way to skip dialogue since I replayed it many times to see the endings and it got bothersome skipping through all that, or actually a way to sentence someone immediately.
I liked the game, the art, the music and the worldbuilding are great. I got all the suspects right on the second playthrough. I feel that maybe you can't get everything right on the first one, if you choose wrong people on the first day though. Also I encountered a small bug: sometimes when pressing the third dialogue option and pressing space shortly afterwards, the speaker's portrait did not appear.
But overall - a very good game!

Wow, a really well-made game! I really like investigative games, and this one is very evocative and well-crafted technically, graphically, and musically! I just want to know if there are real clues that can help understand who to convict, or is it just a matter of intuition? Anyway, really beautiful, congratulations!
The art in this game is absolutely phenomenal, this is the game with the strongest presentation I have played so far, all the elements combined really nicely, I think it has pretty good chances to win! I found the dialogue to be compelling too I tried to get all the 4 endings because I got invested.
Amazing entry, congrats for the team on this one!!

A pretty deep text game with well-written text!

Really enjoyed the interactive fiction and it's great that choices actually lead to different dialog and endings. I played through to two of the four endings, and while I completed my mission I'm not sure I could have done it in one try without getting lucky (but maybe I missed some clues). The art worked well and the audio too. My main feedback would be that the text pace was a bit slow (even when sped up with space) and it didn't seem like the order I asked the question in mattered (so that felt like a "false choice"). Thanks for the story!

OMG absolutely love it!! Art is perfect, UI design on point and the story is awesome!! Well done!
Fantastic job! The mood kicked in from the first frame and note. The story is great and I really like that basically all outcomes are either not that good or morally gray at best, since the topic of the story is quite complex and sensitive, so that makes perfect sense. One small suggestion I have is to make a function to immediately end the day with an execution. this would help to uncover all endings faster when you already have all the clues, so you won't need to wait throught the dialogue. But overall 5/5! Well done!
