I see here a great potential for a time-killer game. Especially if it will be an online one. Something like agar.io but in space setting.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD54 → Space Promenade

Nice effects, great music and sound, looks and feels very much like an arcade game! I liked the very simple gameplay with auto shooting and collecting the fleet, overall great entry!
The second level's name is great :D
i liked the music and the theme. I think it would be helpful if I could see a map during the game. :)
I enjoyed the game. It was a lot of fun. It was confusing at first where to collect the ships. I died a few times on the tutorial. Why are my ships Star Wars stormtroopers?
Music is very catchy! I found it a bit annoying that when I die I get sent back to the beginning of the level, which is probably me just being a noob. The gameplay is very repetitive (even then i still went back for more lol, and definitely was still pretty fun), but hey it's a game jam game. also would've liked to be able to shoot as well as have the automatic shooting.
But all in all, it still feels good to play.
Also the idea of having limited space in space is pretty cool.
A pretty solid entry!
That plays pretty smoothly! My favourite touch is the way that the camera zooms out as you amass more ships - adds another benefit on top of just having more raw firepower.
It feels great to see them flock together. I also liked how various actions are automated, allowing me to focus on the controls. The cool effects, sound effects, and the BGM that gives a sense of space are all things I really enjoyed. :)
I really liked how the camera adjusted based on the fleet size. I feel like the zoom when the fleet was empty was a little too close, it made it a bit difficult to navigate the map. When the fleet was large the gameplay felt awesome. I really liked the aesthetic, the music and sound effects complimented it really well. The enemy base in the small corridor on level 2 was fun, I did that one last and was moving my fleet left and right to the beat of the music. It was a pretty cool ending to the game!
I liked the music and particle effects were something special! I would have liked some kind of indication of each ships cool down, like if they faded back to normal color before shooting. I had a lot of them synchronized and it was really hard to get them to shoot at what I wanted them to. Great work.
Nice sound and particles
The atmosphere is great, although a minimap would have been nice to know where to find the objectives, but otherwise it's great!
Interesting arcade game, the music really brings the space vibe. I like how camera pans out where your fleet gets bigger, altough it looks like we have only Spacetroopers on our ships, as they can't hit anything. I am constantly flying in circles in order to destroy enemy base, our bullets miss it most of the time. It's challending to move through those space corridors, damn you aliens for building the walls in space :)
I'm a sucker for space and synths so as soon as I saw that it's in space and has music I had to check it out. Wasn't disappointed. For some reason it reminds me just a bit of [Nathan Lamont's Ares](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ares_%28video_game%29), which was one of my favorite games.
Simple concept but it's really satisfying. If this were PVP I think would be a really fun game to sink some time into with friends. Obviously this is a Compo AND you only have 48 hours - so *maybe* getting netcode to work properly isn't how you want to spend your precious time
Nicely done! :v:
@olenikimid Thanks for the Ares recommendation, I'm really interested in old strategy games so I'll check it out right away.
Also thanks for playing the game to everyone.
Wow, limited "space"! I got it =) Nice idea and funny implementation!
once i learned that i could STOP i did way better : ) i likde controlling a whole crew of ships.
I think doritos are my favorite flavor of space ship now, this was nice to look at. Also I love that the controls are not complicated at all.
Man, going through those tight spaces with a big fleet hurts! I enjoyed the game. The synth music is great and it fits perfectly.
There's one base in the second (and final?) level located in a narrow cul-de-sac that's swarming with enemies, far more than you can possibly handle even with a full-size fleet. Every time I try flying in there I just get annihilated. You really need to tone that down a bit. That's my only real complaint - otherwise, this is a tight, well-polished game that's refreshingly simple to play.
