damn.PNG I don't know what's wrong, maybe my pc is the problem but my game looks like this, nice styling anyway

arthur-sorignet-gautrot 2023-05-02 11:40

@gmiss thanks for trying our game out, the webGL build seems to work inconsistenly, we are cheaking it up and hopefully find a solution soon. The build version works fine in the meantime if you want to give it a go !

shawn-beck 2023-05-02 12:36

The graphics get really trippy on webGL. Hope you guys resolve that soon. Looks like an awesome game :)

glacian 2023-05-02 12:58

Like the others, it looks great but unable to see anything on WebGL! LMK when it's fixed.

Pretty good game ! Some issues with the minimap and the menu button after winning. But very funny !!

grizeldi 2023-05-02 17:30

The itch.io link is throwing a 404

ludovic-moge 2023-05-02 17:34

@grizeldi The webGL page is not working sorry! Please download the windows build if you want to try it out.

gabriele-marconi 2023-05-02 17:48

This was great! Awesome music and really cool mood. The only thing i would really change are the control mappings, they are a bit unintuitive, especially the left stick. Great job!

sherwin-claridge 2023-05-02 17:55

Really like the art style and the sense of speed.

arthur-sorignet-gautrot 2023-05-02 18:00

@gabriele-marconi Thanks for your comment ! I agree with you, the control scheme changed a lot during the jam but we are not totally happy about it yet.

@sherwin-claridge Glad you liked it, you put a smile on someone face ;)

tediore 2023-05-03 02:02

great concept!

maxigianetti 2023-05-03 05:09

i really like the idea! seems that you put a lot of effort in the game, great job!

svenerik 2023-05-03 05:15

Very neat idea and game. I love most of it, though did have some small glitches, mostly with a button and one where my graphics just went bonkers. Overall it looks great, feels great and I can see that there's quite the room to expand on if wanted~ Nice work!

raggedyjam 2023-05-03 07:33

Nice visuals here and the music is pretty neat. Controls were difficult/awkward to get used to, had trouble with finding where the goal was as I couldn't figure out how to read the mini map and found it a bit frustrating when drones would sneak up on me out of sight might of liked it more if I found them in my path. The upgrades made things much more fun and I'm not sure exactly how the aiming was done but it seems like it was a great idea to me.

ludovic-moge 2023-05-03 09:18

@raggedyjam Yeah we never did a minimap like this one before, it is clearly hard to read. The aiming is done with a simple dot product between the player ship and the enemies, to have a "auto-aim" feel to it. Thanks for your feedback!

conradoclark 2023-05-03 16:29

Really cool concept for the game, and the music SLAPS, awesome job on that! I had some issues with controls, and had trouble finding my goals, but combat felt really nice and I bought all the upgrades.

The atmosphere for the game is really well done, with the menus, music and graphics all tying it up together. Good job!

nico-the-music-guy 2023-05-03 17:07

@conradoclark thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed our game. I feel that the music didn't quite captured the moments where you just travel between the branches of the map with that contemplation quality but thanks for the compliment :)

obe-dot 2023-05-04 14:16

That really is a great game -nice work

arthur-sorignet-gautrot 2023-05-04 14:48

Thanks a lot, really glad tout likes it !

2023-05-04_22-42-19.png An interesting game, unusual sensations from playing with a gamepad, but it’s not very convenient or I’m not used to control on a gamepad) It’s a pity that I didn’t quite understand where the delivery theme manifests itself (I wanted to say more about control, it’s probably better to do it like in shooters, on RT all shooting, on LT aiming, and on LB and LR some other abilities. But these are just my thoughts. And yet, I caught a bug: 1.defeated the nearby armada of robots; For some reason, distant bots hit me 5. I close the shop window 6. I can't fly and I'm stuck in a cloud with bots. But in general I liked the game, not the usual gameplay and the feeling of control is not ordinary. Well done, that you got an interesting game in three days, and even with the mechanics of flight, like in flight simulators, that's cool. Great job) I like this game.

pierre-baudoin 2023-05-04 21:32

@alexsolonnikovp4 Hi !

I thought we fixed this bug in the jam. This happen because we disable the 'gameplay' inputs and enable the 'UI' ones when we open the shop. When we close the shop this should be revert and you should get back to the 'gameplay' controls. To be honnest, it's my first project with the new Unity input system and i barely discovered it through the jam. It's my bad on this one.

Concerning the controls, like Arthur said it in a previous comment, there is still no consensus on input mapping in the team today. I personnaly agree with you because on it but i have another mapping than you suggest. I would basicaly invert the two joysticks and since the side doen't affect much of it, i'd map both of the fire button on the same button : LB.

We may continue the game in the future. If so, be sure i'll fighting again this devil controls :D Thanks for the feedback ! Hope you had fun !

itsboats 2023-05-04 23:44

Very cool game, loved the vibes! Took me a little bit to figure out controls, but even when I did kept doing the wrong thing (probably my own fault, but Im not sure what the standard would be in these types of flying games). I THINK it would feel more natural if pitch + roll was on right stick and yaw + strafe was on the left. Also would have loved to invert pitch controls hehe. The map also messed up on me and I didnt realize until after I was done playing and saw your known bugs part so I didn't know where to go. I still had a lot of fun flying around, killing dudes, and upgrading my ship all the way though!

technoporg 2023-05-05 01:43

I'm not a strong gamer, so I gave up before I mastered the learning curve of the controls. It reminds me of worlds like that Ender's Game, where there's a strong de-emphasis on up and down as part of the overall tactical mindset. The graphics were really well done, especially for a 3D game. Keep up the good work!

poppy-entertainment 2023-05-05 07:09

except for the ui, this game is so polished. Love the enviroment with its absence of an up and down, i really liked the feeling of abscence of orientation it gives. also the enviroment looks cool

porcus-pie 2023-05-05 10:16

I really love the style of this game. The blank white landscapes I thought might get dull but against the black sky was really nice, especially mixed in with the cell-shading. The render distance was a little short at first, but once I flew around I actually really liked the effect it gave. I think some things visually could be a little clearer, I was completely lost on the menus and the drones blended into the background, but style wise this game drew me in.

The gameplay itself was innovative and ambitious for a gamejam. I love flying games and I like the idea you had with flying through a space city. I will say the controls were really not intuitive for me, the sticks were flipped and having the bumpers be shoot meant that I had to take my hands off one control to do another, maybe a simple button press would have been good? The auto aim was a good touch though, in a tipsy turvy world it was nice I didn't have to be precise.

This was a good looking game, I just wish the controls were a bit tighter. Nice work though I'm super impressed with how this looks and the world you made for a jam!

arthur-sorignet-gautrot 2023-05-05 11:34

@itsboats @technoporg @poppy-entertainment @porcus-pie Thank you all for your detailed feedbacks, we agree with you on all you are saying and are working on the control as we speak. It is our main issue so far concerning all the testers had a hard time with it, hope we find a solution soon.

We'll also really happy you liked the map and it's absence of up and down for we did not know if it will messes too much with players or if it was fine.

Thank you for playing our little game, you made our day !

nikaz 2023-05-05 15:53

This is fun game, but controls a little wierd. I didn't understand what i should to do but it was fun to shoot the enemies.

snakemuho 2023-05-06 22:54

arthur-sorignet-gautrot 2023-05-07 11:13

@snakemuho What a time, it will be uncontested for a while for sure !

icxon 2023-05-16 04:50

I was blind and did not notice there is minimap. Had fun fighting the drones. Music is awesome! Especially if you have made all the tracks within 72 hours.

Here is my playtest:

As soon as I saw the graphics I said out loud WOW.

It looks absolutely stunning!

in my opinion, the audio lets it down a bit. The light shooting sound and the loud background music.

Other than that, everything is beautiful. The graphics, controls, It was like playing a proper space game!

fantastic job! I played for a long time yesterday! :D

nico-the-music-guy 2023-05-16 21:02

@icxon yeah I made the 3 of them, it was hard af because i've never tried to do dubstep so I'm glad you liked it :)

@d3kryption yep I suck at sound design xD
