What a cool game! I love the ideas of the rope, the battery and the moving boat, very good gameplay ideas :)

What a cool game! I love the ideas of the rope, the battery and the moving boat, very good gameplay ideas :)
i like the sounds and the idea of rope, connected to robot :D
Love the graphics and models, simple but very neat and nice colors
I was not expecting an outlet to rant to me about Jigglypuff in Melee ever in my lifetime. Well Done
I absolutely love the artstyle and world, however the mechanics felt kinda confusing and restrictive instead of leading to interesting gameplay. I hope you guys keep working on it and iron out those kinks!
Very cool concept, artwork, and music. I wish the gameplay were a bit clearer -- dialogue seems out of place and distracting and the camera is often obstructed. Great potential!
Great concept; some of the behavior of the power cord was a bit erratic and I had trouble progressing after the bit where you enter a room with several exit doors. I enjoyed it a lot, though
Nice job)) Maybe that will be better with standart camera look(no drag)? but if that is artistic choice, than ok)
Fun game with a gorgeous artstyle! Slightly unsure of where to go, and unsure if I even reached the end? Camera was a pain, but overall a very adorable game!
This was so wonderful!! I love the character designs and concepts of all the battery friends, and the animations for the main character are so cute and fluid!! And ben at the end was such a cool design - I don't know if there's anything that happens after meeting him, but I hope I didn't miss anything! This feels so polished and is a really fun game mechanic too!
Love the art style! Camera controls were a bit hard to deal with in some areas, and text moved really fast (maybe on purpose?) in some areas. I thought it was fun/clever way to require plugging in to charge to be able to reach next areas. Felt a little buggy in some places though, 3rd plug didn't let me charge until I reset a few times.
Overall fantastic game for a jam!
The rope mechanic is fun, ooze a lot personality. Congrats.
Great game! Great aesthetic, cool characters, a lot of personality. Genuinely couldn't play very much though since it made me motion sick (I guess the rocking camera and moving objects was too realistic for me :')). Still, of what I did see I wished I could've played more! Great job.
Wow, awesome game!
A bit of feedback!
The art style is adorable: cute model style and your colour palette is lovely.
I love the style and animation of the dialogue system.
I wish there were a controls/tips/how to play page. It took me a little while to figure out where to go and how to use the mechanics properly.
The camera clipping through walls was a bit jarring.
My character kept sliding in one direction (though this may have been a mechanic? I'm not sure. It stopped after awhile though.).
Sometimes I would disconnect from the cord when I was standing right on the trigger which made it a bit difficult to get going.
Congrats on a job well done, though! A really neat concept and interpretation of the theme. I had fun playing your game
Thank you guys SO MUCH for the feedback so far. It's pretty euphoric to come out of that nightmare weekend to such helpful and warm feedback. Ludum Dare slaps (even if it slaps so hard it almost killed our team hahaaa)
After getting some sleep and chewing on feedback we've decided that we're gonna polish it up, get some proper level design in, tweak the game design a bit, and drop it on steam here as our first steam release :) It'll be small but we're super psyched about it. Stay tuned!

Thanks for all the insightful gameplay feedback. We SUPER agree. Right now the gameplay game plan is to make the game more of a puzzler. Where you're connecting outlets to different devices to activate functions like doors. Levels will be a bit more non-linear with the final goal being powering on BIG BENSON by connecting all the outlets back to em in one way or another.
Little stretch goal we have is to add physics to the cable so it can be used to block sliding objects ;) tho don't hold your breath for that one cuz it's a bit of an unknown at this point.
Man the game design community is COOL this was COOL and FUN. VIDEO GAME!!!!
Thanks again and much love from all of us at Groundwater.
Absolutely adorable! The visuals and audio are on point, the soundtrack is catchy and the dialogue is well written. My biggest gripe is probably the game time not pausing during the dialogue and me running out of juice whilst talking to the 240v outlet for the first time.
I also took the liberty to check out your other games posted on itch.io and will definitely be taking a closer look at those as well.
For 72 hours, this is really well polished and put together. Great job all of you!
My first 5 for graphics goes here. Idk why I like it so much, but it's simplicity is just perfectly matched with everything else. Nice gameplay and mechanics.
Really cute graphics, style, and sound - though I feel like I got kinda lost and didn't fully understand what to do or if the game ended. Still, I had a fun time nonetheless :)
I always love games that shove in multiple languages, there's just something about it...
x64 version runs on Linux flawlessly over wine.
The physics on the cable as you stretch it taught feel great! Wish there was occasionally more direction, getting lost could be a little frustrating. Mitigated by the quick resets though!
For everyone who was not born with THE GREAT KNOWLEDGE OF ALL DIMENSIONS required to navigate the OG build, we've published a QOL update that's at least marginally more playable. Peek patch notes for the deets :)
cool game. I love the animation and the text is running fast . good job . smooth animations . real delivery.
Great idea. Love the color palette you chose. The camera is a bit janky and glitching through walls which makes it a tad hard to play sometimes. But other than that I enjoyed it. Funny texts as well!
Excellent entry! I love the aesthetic
Lovely visuals and audio, I really like the way the dialogue is presented and how you did the speech sounds in particular. The power cord mechanic is a super cool idea, and there's a tonne of cool ways you could integrate it with other mechanics if you wanted to keep on working on this in the future!
Really interesting idea and game looks gorgeous. Reminded me of that other game with the girl with her tongue stuck to an icy pole. I think you should have played more with the cord being useful other than charging- maybe for moving things but yeah all in all very good game let alone for a jam
@benskca Secrets secrets, ya neevveerrrr knoowwww
Love the artstyle and the concept, it's truly unique! Congrats for your entry :)
Liked the art style and the various characters. The rope physics were also impressive.
It was a bit annoying that the mouse wasn't confined to the screen.
Really love the idea and the gameplay. Art style is cute and smooth. This is so well executed. Amazing !!!
I love the art style of the game and think that there is potential for a fun and interesting game here. My biggest issue was the camera / camera controls. These felt super clunky and the camera would almost always be clipping through art assets. I believe this made it really difficult to figure out what I'm supposed to be doing as well as just navigating the space.
The cable only seemed to extend and stay attached if I was holding [RMB] which seemed in consistent to have an input for camera also control the cable connection. perhaps this was a bug?
I really liked the idea of the cable and was hoping that it would be used more to solve spatial puzzle than to just bridge a gap between charging points.
As mentioned I thought the art style was really cool and I can see at the core this game could be a cool project, but there was a lot of friction that got in the way
The art style is sooo cute! I think, there potential here is super big, keep developing this game!
I liked what I saw, the visual style is pretty cool, the idea with the cable is fun. I'd love to see more puzzles with this mechanic. At first, I found it a bit confusing until I understood what I was supposed to do. I wish I could also control the camera on the Y-axis. Good job :3
Really nice visuals, 3D models, animations and UI, and really nice sounds too. The game also feel really good to play, i especially like the effect when hard pulling a cable. As other mentioned, not being able to move the camera on the vertical axis is a bit frustrating, especially when you need to cross half of a room to see what it actually contains. The music was great, but the loop felt a bit short for length of the game, as it starts to feel repetitive quickly Also, the game is very wordy, and it feels strange having the long conversation coming over and over while the gameplay timed not stopping either, it feels that you basically need to stop playing to read or skip every dialogue But enough with all the negative feedback, every other aspect of the game is really well done and super polished, it's really impressive, nice game
This is really well made! Very impressive for 72h. My main issue with it right now is the camera; it clips through walls a lot and combined with the strange angle, it's often very hard to see where I'm going. I think improving that would go a long way.
I adore the visuals, SFX and music - well done!
The camera killed me though - so many little rooms, corners and corridors and the camera is like this for 80% of the time

Two minor issues for me were: - overlapping dialogues - constant movement of the dialogue bubbles takes the focus away from the game
I love the visuals, audio, and dialogue of the game, but I felt like the cord length mechanic was underutilized! I did get lost near the end in the maze of similar looking rooms, but I did finally find the robot with arms x.x
