Cool game with a great presentation - though on my second run I found it was pretty easy to go infinite by just doing a simple 2/2/2 pattern. Once you do that, it basically just becomes an RNG game of when you'll get clogged with too many pieces of one topic. Still, great job!
Good idea but need better balance. I just put all cards one by one for 3 mins and nothing happened(I didn't lose)
Interesting Game, Unique approach to it. Would love to see more feedback for the player though

Hi! I really like the concept and the execution is very well done, it feels nice to play. I found it hard to grasp the consequences of my actions, maybe I missed some feedback for every "category" of people to satisfy? It also ended up just putting a bit of everything in the queue as it seemed to work well. Great job overall, congratulations!
Nice game, but a bit easy, if you just spam headlines in a decent pattern you can pretty much survive forever. Maybe a progress meter would be a good idea that you have a set amount of time to keep it as high as possible? Overall a really cool game though
Cool game ! I might need a better balance, but the take on the theme is great. Also some cards are really fun. Good job
Cool game! It's a shame that we don't have really the time to read the headline because they are fun!

Well made entry. I liked the headlines, they were very funny... and sometimes sounded like something straight out of the clickbait articles and news, well done! However, I agree with the rest of the people here - felt pretty easy once you figure it out. That said, great one and well done!
I like the different headlines, but the game gets really boring after a while.

Hi! I enjoyed the concept of your game and the time pressure element.
However, as others have stated before, it does get quite easy once you start understanding the game, up to the game where the RNG starst playing against you. A way of fixing this might be to make prompts of different strengths based on how positive or negative their contents are, and to let the player figure out which one to pick (or to discard) by actually reading through them (or something like that).
I reached 4:50 minutes during my best attempt: bad_news.png
Thanks!
I really enjoy the gameplay loop and I think it could be really cool with a bit more refinement on feedback of each story, wasn't really sure what effect each was having. Looking forward to playing v2!

It looks fun but on mac os in chrome, it locks up the browser when loading the webgl build, so I couldn't play.

The idea is cool and the headlines are really funny, however it would be more engaging if the game was more difficult. Currently I lasted on air for 6 minutes and 9 seconds and it only ended because I felt like I wanted a break. Maybe you could create a bigger difference in views between some of the headlines in order to raise the stakes of choosing the right news to air.(E.g. maybe something that's not very scandalous, such as announcing the winner of the local pumpkin fair, would really quickly lose the interest of the viewers hahah). Other than that, the visuals and sounds are quite nice and you have a great sense of humor!
The headlines are well written, and it's a very creative idea for a game for this theme! The news stories "pop" onto the screen in a satisfying way. As others have said though, it's quite easy to find a pattern that provides an endless "victory", so the stakes don't feel very high.

@jake-g Sorry to hear that! Unfortunately it is a Godot bug that makes HTML exports unplayable on macOS... I forgot about it, but I'll put a disclaimer. Thanks for the feedback!
Interesting entry with a too-close-to-reality vibe behind it  It wasn't clear to me what headlines would do what or what people wanted to hear, or what the different colored cards meant. I made it for 1:10 which seems kinda low :joy: Keep on making games!

Interesting idea! I would add different actions. I did not quickly understood the effect of the different colours of the news. Maybe you could add an icon representing the "topic" of the news!

Great concept and some of the headlines are gold, love the pasta one. They were a little hard to read due to the speed of things - voicing the newscaster and having them read them could have been fun. The balance was a little off as it was almost impossible to lose just by pulling random cards. A Reigns style system where each card has positive and negative effects on multiple things would be one way to make this more engaging. Graphics were simple individually but I really like the combined effect. Great job!
unique take on theme.as suggested above the balance was little off. i think each card should have -ve and positve effects and i believe you could something with ads slots may be requiring to place certain number of ads placement etc.
anyways it was fun.

Fun gameplay, somehow reminiscent of an idle clicker? I agree with the comments about being unsure on game progression, with a more blatant countdown, or more obvious feedback on how each headline affects sentiment. Creative idea!

Wow this is a tough game! I liked it, but a bit of regret that I couldnt read properly all the news everytime i got new slots. I'll definitely try and improve my score tho :')
Well played, great entry for the jam!

Managed to stay on air for 3:37 ! Loved how real an yet sarcastic the headlines felt. I'm not sure how I could predict which ones were making my stonks go up so I tried to balance between the three colors. Congrats :)
