Great entry! Try it with several friends  Only the sound of the wave is missing.

becher 2022-10-02 18:36

Thank you @fifut looks like I missed your part :/

fifut 2022-10-02 18:44

@becher C'etait moi le français

I'm not sure the game was running correctly. The tide didn't erase my drawings, there was no sound at all, no instructions. Only the X button worked. How does one play with friends?

I did the downloadable windows version. Was that the correct build?

actuallythemoon 2022-10-05 08:00

Oh, this rules. Love this kind of stuff! Good job on getting it done within the ludum dare time constraints!

developer-on-trip 2022-10-05 08:01

It was fun to play tic tak toe on it LOL

lancival 2022-10-05 08:02

Cool! I think the instructions are a little confusing in that the tide only gradually washes away drawings, but it does allow for projects that last more than ten seconds! I agree with fifut above, some relaxing wave sounds would be a really great addition.

lorwon 2022-10-05 08:09

Really impressed, the idea is amazing ! Maybe you can make that the waves clear a little bit faster. But this entry is the one of the best I've seen so far. Good job !

for-science 2022-10-05 08:12

That's one obscene beach...

A very relaxing and communal experience. If this had soothing beach sounds, it could have completely derailed my play session of other ludum dare submissions. Well done!

indigo 2022-10-05 08:12

The wave clear doesn't seem to work for me at all, even though I lucked into joining at the same time as some other players, that kind of defeated the purpose. Great concept though.

EDIT: Ah, I get it now, the wave doesn't clear the drawing completely, but only fades it out. OK, so it's kind of working, but indeed very slow, and it loses the whole "sand at the beach" vibe.

tanner-shelton 2022-10-05 08:12

This was a really fun idea! I was having some issues where it wouldn't write smooth and was really laggy. This made it harder to draw accurately. It was cool seeing others draw as well. I also would be okay if it actually washed away the drawings after 10 seconds completely. Right now the canvas filled up too quickly.

sarizard 2022-10-05 08:15

Oh my this is so CUTE. I loved it! As other comments say, it only misses the beach sounds. Loved it!

brandsma 2022-10-05 08:17

You have the freedom to play any game here (like tic tac toe for instance). Loved it and even made a multiplayer game in the span of a gamejam. Really nice.

save-sloth-studios 2022-10-05 08:17

Really lovely idea! Probably one of the most unique entries in this jam! We a drew a cat together 10/10.

dxk2294 2022-10-05 08:22

Really clever interpretation of the theme! I was initially confused when my drawing wasn't washed away - it took a while to realize that the drawing only faded with time.

boclow 2022-10-05 08:26

Cool idea an pretty graphics! It is a neat experience and the water slowly eating away the drawings is really cool! I tried using a drawing tablet but for me it did not work. That is a minor issue. Drawing with mouse was fun also :D

becher 2022-10-05 08:53

Thanks for your feedback @dxk2294, @indigo, @lorwon, @lancival, i know my system for the tide is really bad, sorry for that... it depend to your FPS, it plan to clear a drawing after 3 waves. I'll update that soon. ;)

lorwon 2022-10-05 09:03

@becher Cool ! Tag me once it's updated :)

becher 2022-10-05 11:06

Thank you for your report @boclow ;) It's curious, I tested with mine and it works well. What kind of graphics tablet do you use? If you have a moment, could you try with the Windows version to see if it works on it?

chybby 2022-10-05 11:09

Love the graphics, very nice beach scene!

I had a bit of lag with when drawing would start and stop - I had to hold down left click then wait then draw something then release left click then wait again before I could move my mouse.

matt-ravenhall 2022-10-05 11:36

Really interesting idea, nice job!

kohcepba 2022-10-05 11:41

This is brilliant in its simplicity.

ditam 2022-10-05 11:56

Beautiful! My favourite take on the theme so far. Having things disappear in 3 waves is a nice touch, it feels realistic, but it also makes things a bit more relaxed.

I think this could have been an even more minimalistic title as a single player zen experience, but the multiplayer is a very unique touch as well.

defrag 2022-10-05 11:56

Clever idea and mechanics. This felt like a museum or art piece. I like the idea of this tiny, ephemeral shared space with other humans. You get to make whatever connection you feel like making in the 20-30 seconds you have to communicate an idea. Very nice non-traditional jam entry!

boclow 2022-10-05 12:41

@becher I have Wacom bamboo pen (old CTL-460 model) but it usually works with almost anything so I was bit surprised of it not working. I just downloaded the windows version to try it out but no luck there either. If it works for you I think the problem might just be on my end XD.

becher 2022-10-05 12:47

Probably not your fault @boclow, with unity pen is not recognize as a mouse so i have to do a dedicated controller for it. Thanks for trying ;)

trexxak 2022-10-05 20:58

Really liked playing around a lot! Due to the nature of the game, one is immediately reminded of concepts like transience and adaptibility, resulting in a very zen experience.

exilegl 2022-10-07 12:50

Such a cool little idea :) I think some calming ambient music would add a lot, but otherwise very cool, and an innovative concept. There was someone online at the same time as me at one point which was fun. Also like how the waves dont immediately remove your drawing and only partially fade it out initially.

cloistered 2022-12-10 02:45

cool idea:)
