I thought this packed a lot of world-building in a tiny package. In just a few minutes, I was a little cold farmer trying to keep my giant grubworm happy. The platforming required more precise control that I enjoyed, and I spent a lot of time just trying to nail the landings on the 1-tile wide steps that I had to go up every single time. I think having an easier way to go up would help the player.

Hey, @defrag ! thanks for playing! I appreciate your feedback!
I liked the world building. I think it could use an in-game tutorial though because I wasn't entirely clear what I was supposed to do. I really liked the feel and look of the game though.

@jordan-pavlic Thabk you for playing! Yeah, some hints in-game would help a little. I hope you had fun! I appreciate the feedback!
The world is quite atmospheric despite using just simple elements, well done! But I'm confused what to do in the game even after reading the intro. You can integrate the controls in the intro and showing players what are the interactive elements and what should player do, it will be better to reduce the confusion :)

@yulotomorrow Hey! Thank you very much for the feedback. I agree, some in-game hints would help a lot.

Really fun little game. Took me awhile to figure out why i was dying at the start but once i figured out the fan at the top I was ok.

@sirikan thanks for playing and the feedback!
I got really into the flow of feeding him and didn't realize that there was a limit on how long he'd stay around. Managed to make a profit of 1691 though! Platforming felt good and was pretty easy to traverse, the air launcher was super useful to getting a good flow going. I wasn't sure what the point of some of the lower lamps were for... unless those are just to increase overall heat? I had assumed the lamps needed to be on near the plants, but I realize now that maybe they just needed the gel to grow and I could have prioritized keeping lights on closer to the gomma to reduce carrying energy as far? Really great entry though!

Awesome little game. I got really hooked! Once I knew what I was doing it got a little too easy. Maybe some random events that would hinder the player might add a little extra. Honestly, a great game though. Kudos :raised_hand:
The plateform was a bit difficult for me, since I don't play them a lot. I however liked lighting the lamp, the designs were nice. Well done

A nice entry! Couldn't really figure out what I'm supposed to do: I enabled the lamps with the excrement, feed the worms with the food, but died eventually. Is there a way to fill back the second progress bar?

@lisyarus thank you! next time I will make sure the player gets enough hints why they are dying!
As somebody who loathes platformers in general, this game was really fun.
It was definitely tricky, but I loved it and felt totally sucked in for way too long. x.x
Well done! :D

There isn't much here in the way of game play, but despite that fact I spent a good 5-10 minutes running around, feeding my grub, and keeping warm. I think I stayed hooked so long because I simply LOVE the concept and idea of it! I had a ton of fun just exploring the concept, and I think this is a really good prototype. You should really flesh it out into a full game after the jam :D!

Really nice concept. Would have preferred if the platformer mechanics were more polished.

@smdg Thank you! I agree, the jump is not very good, one day I will polish it xD
cool game! part of it reminded me a little of "Wik & the Fable of Souls"... really good graphics, the agricultural stuff was quite interesting. definitely agree with other feedback that the platforming was not great tho. :)
Cool systems in this game! I struggled a bit at first but its fun running around trying to balance everything. The sprites you drew look nice especially the glowing effect -- would have really benefited from a tiny amount of sound effects too.
Nice work

I loved the story, simple but very interesting. The controls respond very well, and the design is very interesting. I missed some sound effects, but for a comp it's excellent. Congratulations on the idea, very original!
This was good, I liked the full-feeling eco system that you created! I quite liked how the things worked in harmony. I would have liked to see more warnings / feedback when the lose conditions are nearing - as the UI was quite small and hidden away in the corner and my run finished without me knowing. It was my fault but it still would help prevent the negative feeling of losing without realising you were going to lose! I'd like the idea of being able to let trees grow longer to grow bigger food, so there's a bit of a tradeoff to make - harvest asap to make sure you don't run out of fuel, or if you are well organised you can get more fuel per tree.

@honest-dan thank you so much for playing it! I will update the UI and UX after the jam! The tree idea is nice, I will think of a way of implementing it that feels fun and gives the player more control of the system! I am also working on the soundtrack, already made the main theme xD

Really Interesting, harvesting and feeding it to the worm to keep it from reaching the end was awesome. The only thing is that it was hard to figure out what we were supposed to do. but once I figured it out, it became fun to play. some audio would be nice. Great Game!

Hey! This seems to be your first Ludum Dare, right? Nice debut, congrats!
I don't have much say that others haven't said already. Took me some time to understand how to play, especially to find and understand that I could power the air purifier and the gel faucets. Some in-game help would be nice for sure, but even some instructions here on the game page would make the experience much smoother (like, just a few screenshots with some arrows showing "this is a fruit", "this is excrement", "this is the air purifier").
Having to water the plants several times in a row to get a fruit felt a bit grindy.
Anyway, after learning what to do it was fun to play. Very nice wordlbuilding/backstory, too!
