2020 Best Use of Cereal Award
Loved it! Thanks for making a game! Sometimes I didn't know what to do, but I somehow passed by trying different thigns!
I am not sure what I needed to here. I got to level 2 but then just quit. A bit more player feedback would be nice.
@givit-game-studios Hey, thanks for your comment. At lvl 2 you need to use the cereals to... Get higher ^^ I aggree more feedback would be better, I will think how to give more understandable clues for this level
Nice concept game, gameplay a bit wacky some times but nice take on the subject
Some levels are really hard
Best character animation
Mechanics feel a bit rough around the edges but I like the visuals and level narrative. I loved getting high from my cereals
lol I really have fun playing this game! Is quite crazy!! But fit quite well in the theme!
SPOILER:
The black part of the screen that can be moved made me like, what am I doing the whole time.
A problem is that the suggested resolution is 1920*1080p otherwise if smaller some part are out of the screen still playable but sometimes I miss the door or other part that are out of the viewport!
@redunca Thanks, yes I don't know why I choosed to make a puzzle game, so hard to equilibrate properly ! Actually it took me 2 hours to make that weird animation
@nocity Thank you :) Haha the cereals one was unexpected but during tests I found it enjoyable to use it to move around
@dangerblack Indeed, I did a run while not in fullscreen and its unconfortable, I think I will update the game to adapt its resolution
A little on the weird side, but that's just how I like it :) I had no idea what I was in for but it was a nice change of pace to get a physics puzzle game with a really nice soundtrack. Reminded me a lot of the strange games of the windows 95 era. Game play and controls were a bit finicky but worked in the end. I had real problems pressing the start button in the beginning. When I was almost sure that it was already part of the game, it started by itself. very strange. The art style was jumbled but that's part of the charm I guess. I got stuck on one of the later fan levels. There was no tip and I had no idea what I was supposed to do. Just bringing him to the door didn't do anything.
All in all, a pleasant experience and a good entry for a solo project!
Really weird and I like it! One might think that it's a bit clumsy and not polished, but surprisingly, in your case it actually fits! Got stuck on one of fan levels. Some hints would help, now I'm dying to know how the game ends. =D
The mood is amazing! Great job!
Cool game with some really hard puzzles! I really liked the character animation. Music is also nice. The only thing I didn't like so much is the difference in style between the character (cartoonish) and the rest of the setting (but maybe it's just a matter of personal taste). Nice work!
@duke @mykola Thanks a lot for your comments :) I guess that your stuck on the level with the white fan ? SPOIL : you have to go in the eye with the white fan, by taking the other fan near it, so the inertia of the character falling is conserved and she will fall from the bed into the eye and boom next level !
@coding4rtist Thank you a lot ! Yeah well I really suck at graphics so at first I wanted to make a creepy universe, but the cartoonish sprites I found were not suitable, so thats why I made this weird animation, to make the character creepy aswell haha
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
Hahaha I laughed way too hard at the aesthetics and character's animation. I think it's a cool idea and it fits well with the theme. It's a fun game, congrats!
Well, the game looks nice, but puzzles just aren't for me, sorry :sob:
on level 2 I used the cereal to take it up, well it left the screen ...
Nice little puzzles. Interactions between different game objects is sometime a bit tricky, adding difficulties to the completion of puzzles.
Interesting atmosphere created by your graphic choices
I understood the objective of the first day, but what really was supposed to be done the second day I didn't figure out. I really liked the sound though, and the limbs-animations were really funny.
Nice game⦠I'm a *fan* of this kind of puzzle. Good job
I like the audio in this game. Gameplay mechanics is a bit simple, I would suggest a little bit more player feedback, and slightly more obstacles / objects to use. I would also suggest a more uniform color palette, but that's just me! Keep on knocking out games! This is my 1st LD, also my 1st game ever, so nothing but respect for anyone attempting these sort of things!
I liked the concept idea but felt a bit lost and ended up doing everything and nothing just to see what was happening, as other already said, a bit of feedback (sound, ui or graphic) would have been nice. Congrats for your entry :)
Very fun to push around etc the character, and easy enough to understand - I like that it just uses the mouse. Background music is pretty cool too.
I had a very confusing time playing this game for a very minor reason. So early on I got stuck on the level with one fan and two eyes, where apparently it's not possible to jump over the second eye. And so I read on a comment here something about dragging a black platform, and I found that platform and used it to solve a bunch of puzzles. It seemed to me like a really arbitrary solution to have, that also made many of the puzzles seem kinda meaningless.
I now realize that that platform was a debug element or something along those lines--it was not the intended solution to the puzzles. I went back and figured out that the actual solution to the fan-and-two-eyes puzzle was to move the bed. And I replayed the other puzzles that I had "skipped."
So one minor but important piece of feedback: don't leave the debug platform in the game!
Incidentally while re-playing the game and writing this review my computer blue-screened. I don't know if that's related to the game but it's kinda funny.

So aside from all that, I enjoyed the game. It's a fun kind of physics puzzler, and I think fits the theme pretty nicely. The physics were a little glitchy in places, but I still enjoyed pushing the player around and figuring out what to do with each of the fans, and all.
I can't say I entirely understood the ending of the game, it seemed like I was supposed to do something, and it seemed like clicking was causing something to happen. So perhaps that could be made clearer?
I do like the weird rag-doll-ish player graphics. Very silly. And in general I have some kind of fondness for weird mismatched photographic and hand-drawn graphics. Probably comes from my days with MIT's Scratch but it's still an aesthetic that I think is legitimate and kind of neat.
A fun game overall.
@honey-pony Wow thank you for this huge feedback  I may have misunderstood some comments because I didn't realise that I left this debug platform... My bad. Even while I was testing my game I didn't found that black one ! Thank you a lot for your comment
I'm not entirely sure what to call the platform I'm talking about, but on the level where you're supposed to move the bed, if you drag near the bottom this large black physics object shows up, that makes solving the level trivial. I assumed that this was used while developing the game for one purpose or another which is why I called it "debug platform" but I may have misinterpreted why it exists.
Hopefully now you can tell what I'm referring to...?
Found it ! Ok, this was not supposed to be there. I guess I have associated the script to move objects to this platform... To be honest, it's not even a debug, it's just a mistake !
