i became softlock in the part with two lazers, but the game is brilhant! nice work!

abdul-zakkar 2020-10-06 00:05

@glayson thank you! I added the reset button to hopefully prevent soft locks, but looks like I missed a spot. I will change Reset to reset the level.

nohua 2020-10-06 06:12

Really fun mechanic and really calming/but not calming music? I liked it.

codeman1010 2020-10-06 06:19

Just loved the feel of the game, so peaceful and fun.

bicheste 2020-10-06 06:20

That last level was tricky! This deserves more plays! Loved it, from the chill music, to the mechanics, to the visuals. Great job! Whole.PNG

abdul-zakkar 2020-10-06 06:46

@bicheste Thanks you for the super nice feedback :) glad I could get a tricky one in there!

abdul-zakkar 2020-10-06 16:45

@nohua Thanks! I put a link to the music from opengameart, thought it fit nice :)

wormius 2020-10-06 17:09

I have seen this idea many times before. But, this game does it well. I like it that you stick on top of your clone when you stand on it.

noah-kuhn 2020-10-06 19:02

This is a common concept made original and executed well! The music complements the atmosphere well, and the mechanic is intuitive and easy to grasp. Good job! :)

jamie-simpson 2020-10-06 19:07

I love the art style and the game was well done but it felt a bit bland gameplay wise, a new mechanic or feature would have done nicely. otherwise nice job!

kutarta 2020-10-06 19:09

Loved this mechanic. Great work.

ludumup 2020-10-06 19:12

Fun game! very nice tutorial levels, but I thought the level design could have a bit more clear of a path (or mostly not have dummy path, I spent a while trying to jump up to the exposed platform near the roof of lvl 2 or 3 for example). overall I gave it 4.5/5 the only 2 categories that I didn't give full stars where audio, because of the super load noise that would play (I think when the music looped but idk for sure) and innovation because my group had the same idea but 3d (also I didn't give a rating for humor since I didn't feel it applied).

johnbrynte 2020-10-06 19:12

Great visuals and overall mood! I found the physics a bit disturbing at times but that could also be that I tackle the puzzles a bit wrong. As said it has been done before but this is a really nice package :)

sertu 2020-10-06 19:16

i loved it it had cool mechanics it had cool music we have a simlar game where your ghost does what you do too i like how this game plays very fun thank you for the game

abdul-zakkar 2020-10-06 19:17

@ludumup thank you for the useful feedback! You're right, I should have been more wary about leading the player down the wrong path.

spawncampgames 2020-10-06 19:26

Fun Game. The puzzle mechanic is great.. Could even more puzzle complexity by limiting the record per level. :) Overall great game!

a333 2020-10-06 20:12

You know, for only 3 levels, you've managed to balance the game almost perfectly - the tutorial, the learning, the test - and the last one requires some outside of the box thinking. Great job!

abdul-zakkar 2020-10-06 20:27

@sertu It's cool see this idea in a few forms! I will definitely check yours out soon :)

abdul-zakkar 2020-10-06 20:29

@a333 Glad you liked it! Would definitely love to add more levels and more mechanics - like moving platforms

mountday 2020-10-06 21:22

Sweet! Idk how is good using clones as a springboard, but I’m glad that they don’t mind taking themselves on board! [tudusudu.gif](///raw/b1b/61/z/393c7.gif)

usenrame 2020-10-06 22:17

Brilliant mind-breaker, characters are original and awesome!

timbeaudet 2020-10-06 23:14

I streamed the game for you at https://www.twitch.tv/timbeaudet , hope you enjoyed!

adnonymous5 2020-10-06 23:20

@mountday Thanks! And yes, haha, those clones's purpose in life is to help you platform XD

adnonymous5 2020-10-06 23:21

@usenrame Thanks! We wanted to make it look distinct and cool, glad you feel that that effort was successful!

adnonymous5 2020-10-06 23:25

Thanks @timbeaudet ! We were watching the stream, and appreciate it. I was glad to see during your playthrough the puzzles required some thinking but weren't super frustrating! After overscaling the difficulty of our last Ludum Dare game, we wanted to make sure this one was fun to play. And definitely plan on checking your game out!

trypants 2020-10-07 00:05

I dont know if its WebGL but the sound glitches. Your idea was well executed. Solid entry

charlotte-raymond 2020-10-07 01:11

Really loved this! Great take on the theme and fun mechanics, responsive controls. I got stuck on the third level but you can feel free to chalk that up to user error, lol :) Good job!

adnonymous5 2020-10-07 02:34

@trypants never encountered the issue myself, but you're the second person to have this problem. Thanks for confirming, we'll look into that!

adnonymous5 2020-10-07 04:42

@charlotte-raymond Hey thank you! @abdul-zakkar really fine tuned the mechanics as much as possible in the allotted time frame. That third level is definitely tricky the first run through... but try using clones stacked on other clones

ramble-house-games 2020-10-08 04:01

This is a great little game. I really enjoyed it. The art styling is very unique and makes the game feel very cohesive. I think there might be a collider problem when stacking the clones. Especially when they jump with a clone on their head it seems like they don't stay stacked the way I expect. Thanks so much for the great entry.

johnsensei 2020-10-09 01:15

Saw this game in a Twitch stream, which was kind unfair because I already saw the solutions. But I was able to improve on them as a result.

Very clever puzzle game. A lot of people in my game dev group make puzzle games like this. I think given the time constraints of the jam, you did well designing a range of puzzles.

Some sound effects would have been nice but that's about all I can think of.

abdul-zakkar 2020-10-09 01:42

@johnsensei yes I wish I had more time for sound design! I wanted to add maybe an "underwater" effect to the music during recording, as well as sound effects. But alas Very glad you enjoyed and took the time to play it post-stream!

hakushika 2020-10-09 07:05

It's a well thought out and very fun game. I had a lot of fun playing it because it allowed me to take my time and think about it. :)

olafstromberg 2020-10-10 13:13

Nice graphics and audio.

arad-hamidsamiee 2020-10-10 16:22

Nice mechanics, good implementation. well done

marcmagus 2020-10-10 16:28

Nice puzzle game. I liked that there were a couple of levels which had multiple possible solutions.

adnonymous5 2020-10-12 01:35

@hakushika Thanks! We definitely prefer those types of games ourselves. Possible to speedrun if you want, but mainly puzzle based, so you're not punished for just chilling while playing it,

adnonymous5 2020-10-12 01:36

@marcmagus That kind of happened by accident, haha! But yeah, it was fascinating seeing some people playtest it, especially seeing how differently the last level was handled from person to person.

plasmonic 2020-10-13 18:34

Really great, very enjoyable! Original mechanic and great puzzles

abdul-zakkar 2020-10-26 05:41

@codeman1010 I really hope I remembered the correct person (did you stream our game?) if so, you had asked us if we have a twitter, so @adnonymous5 and I just made one! It's @frostberrygames. We would be honored to have you be one of our first followers.

stefan-b 2020-10-27 18:29

i like the "limited" but resetable clone idea. Maybe you also like our interpretation of "as many as you like" :)

hgcummings 2020-10-27 19:39

Really great mechanics and great use of the theme. The art style and sound are excellent too. I really love the background graphics.

adnonymous5 2020-10-30 04:11

@hgcummings Thank you it means a lot! We really wanted to choose a more unique art style than we'd done previously, as well as a mechanic that was compelling even if we didn't get to make a lot of levels. glad that it didn't go unnoticed!
