Always loved the idea of making something like that. Reminds me of my childhood when tamagotchi had it's big hit. I have loved the black and white style. The character is quite funny and very cute. You did a really good job with animations and music is very nice. I wish there were more sounds effects, like for the character itself, like emitting weird noises. Also for controls maybe only using a mouse would have been good instead of keyboard. Overall it was fun playing your cute little game!

Ahh... that :poop: animation!! So good. Nice work.
I love the cute 8-bit style. What I love even more is all the small interactions and details in this game. For example, you could just spam food so your baby never goes hungry. However, after a while, food goes spoiled, and will hurt the baby. But the one thing I love most about this game...
is watching the baby get curb-stomped by a literal jukebox.
@mark-kelly the goal was to have many more strange dangers like that, however I was busy this weekend and many never made it past the drawing board. For example, there was going to be skeleton that could run you down, and there was going to be a first-person mode to hunt for food when you run out. skeleton_2.gif

I loved the style and aesthetics of the game, and the bits of audio was incredibly enjoyable. The UX was in keeping with the style and worked well. Definitely one of the funniest games out there. I would love to see more things to interact with and see. Very tamagotchi-esque and kinda makes me want to create my own now.
Confusing, had no idea what the middle button does or how to get rid of the radio, but it was genuinely funny and charming.
it's cute animations! the radio was such a catch :D
Cute and minimal. Wish you could put more content in it like what you mentioned there.
Also, I let the hand reach for the baby but nothing happend, thus so far the radio is the most dangerous thing in this game
cute, liked the style, on my first playthrough i think my baby died but i didn't realise because rubbing still made it love me. Is there no way to get hearts back after the radio goes crazy? Anyway had fun with it, only missed more stuff to do.
@holysparks wuh oh, the hand thing is def a bug, here's what's supposed to happen: https://twitter.com/witch_warren/status/1251960888132861952 Glad you like it though! If you follow me on itch.io or twitter you'll see some updates pretty soon, I've got some cutting room floor stuff in the works.
@automatonvx yikes, that is a very disturbing bug. His hearts come back from petting until he's at 5, and then will randomly go up if he is well fed. The radio, upon being put away, can actually be put back out, just keep an eye on it. in the meantime, updates are in the works, i'm excited to make this as weird as possible.

This is incredibly cute and hits all the right nostalgie chords. The dancing animation is the cutest ever <3 But that jukebox... That was weird. And awesome :D

I really loved this game, you filled it with very memorable interactions which is exactly what it needed! The jukebox stomping my baby, the almighty hand, the poop animation, there's a ton to love! My favourite bit though was when my baby died and it just laid there with the jukebox playing music beside it, completely contrasting to the tragedy. Big fan!

Cute little game. I always thought radios are evil.

I really liked the animation, especially the dancing animation. Amazing what can be done with just a few pixels. It is clear that it wasn't finished, but what was there was nice.

I don't really have anything to critique about this game. I personally didn't find it very fun, but I think that's just my personal preference.

Life is about the little things. Eating a nice chicken leg. Dancing like nobody is watching. And watching as my radio becomes sentient and stomps my child to death. 10/10
Super nostalgic! I loved it!
nice tamagotchi but there is no game over screen?
