Great idea to protect the baby. After dieing twice, I realized I have to leave the baby aside when fighting. There seems to be a bug at one point (after 4 the foods), I could not use any of the Z, X, Y buttons..., Anyway, Well done and the music is really cool and fitting!

Very impressive amount of work had been done. Sound is especially nice. However, levels quickly become repetetive. It also seems unfair to lose when baby cries without any villagers around. But I guess, fullsize alert system would be too much for a jam) Nevertheless, good job, really enjoyed this game.

I really love this one. Both characters (mom and son) have a good amount of charisma. Sound FX boost immersion, making baby crying when left behind and happy when piked up. Congratulations!!
Thought that holding that baby as a burden on the player and restricting what they can do (just like in real life) was a great mechanic, and it was easy to get emotionally involved in trying to not be away from the baby too long. Music was fantastic.
Reminds me of that SNES super mario game where you play as a yoshi carrying baby mario. This was cute and I liked the sprite designs. Gameplay wise, this really needs some tweaking, either you need to move faster with and without the baby, or the meters need to fill up significantly slower than they currently do. When I have to retry the *tutorial* multiple times due to this issue something is off. Music was good though, I 'll give it that.
The controls are HORRENDOUS... But I like the concept, artstyle, music and concept. Well-done!

Really cool game! the combat felt a bit unfair for stunning you for almost the same time as the enemy attack cool down, I couldn't get many hits in! The music is still stuck in my head, and I would have never thought of getting heavier when carrying the baby! Great Job!

It's a cool idea, and I love the artwork and the level design. My only complaint is that you leave very little room for error even on the first level. Maybe ease the player into the game a bit, first.
Cool concept. Having to drop your baby to access different parts is a nice idea. I also liked the art, theme, and level design. Some critiques for the gameplay:
-Everything was way too slow. Running, attacking, jumping, etc. I feel like you can double the speed of all of this and it might still be too slow. Jumping also felt a too floaty.
-Fighting felt really weird. It seemed like I was forced to trade hits because of how slow the combat was.
-Audio/Sound design didn't feel right. Like the sounds made sense for what was happening, but they didn't feel like they came from the same game.
-I got stuck when a guard blocked a downward staircase. Couldn't progress any further.
Good game overall though.
Sweet choice of theme interpretation =) The controls could definitely use a bit more polish to make it less floaty but carrying around a tiny werewolf is definitely the type of game I want to see more of.

Told you I was going to beat it.

Could you detail more about the controls @gamer-fates ? Is it the key bindings or something else that annoys you?
Mas ah @lex!

Wow Cool Game!! Main problem were, character is moving to much slow, animation of walking is starting a bit lately. That's all i've seen. Love The Game And Idea.

The game is really cool. Unfortunately, The controllers are VERY weird. I couldn't remember them all,
Oh neat. The characters move a bit slow if you ask me, But I loved the music and the art was charming. Great work.
I liked this a lot. The sound fx added a satisfying feedback to the players actions. I wish there were more levels.
Very solid game with a good potential. Good job! I think, controls are good, as they describe mechanics. But what your game is really need is some balance and level design. First of all, levels are huge for such slow character, so moving across long empty rooms become annoying. Try to make levels more compact and action - more dense.
Thank you all guys @zerohbeat @jungle @amkingtrp @noamraz @prepparedheathen for playing, rating and leaving a comment!
Also thanks @chertkov @historymaker118 @gamer-fates @slotha @dummydojo @gaminghasmter @slimbun @blobo @alexscher for giving some tips. I'll keep that in mind next jam, trying to make a better game.
I made sure to play all the games of you guys, rate and leave a comment pointing out what i found good, what i found bad and what was my experience playing your games!

you should let music continue after scene load I think, it will feel more natural by that way

I like the animations, the concept and the music!
In terms of gameplay feel, I think the hit area when the villagers attack is a bit large! They can attack/rebound you when you are _above_ them! I guess on the flip side you can attack them downwards so it's probably ok haha. Maybe they should also only play their spear-attack animation when they're dangerous too? It could be hard to judge when to go for them because of that.
In terms of level design, in some areas the camera didn't follow the player very closely, this was either because its follow speed was quite low or because the level designs quite large -- probably increase camera speed if you make another platformer with this code. In addition, some of the mechanics in the levels felt a bit repetitive, however, I liked it in the last area where you had to jump over everything. That was different, and cool. It might have been nice to see other things explored with your existing objects, e.g. timers on doors/switches, etc. stuff like that, but I understand it's a jam and there are difficulties with getting everything in in the time!
Overall, it's a nice entry, and I got to the end. Well done.

Such a novel idea, I like what it's trying to do. Personally I like a faster pace for games that are skill based, so I found the movement speed a bit sluggish (considering you seem to jump faster than walk). I appreciated the lack of cheap tricks (like levers closing off previous gates, or enemies appearing out of doors) but then I ran into the part where the only chance for success is by passing enemies above (trying not to spoil it for others), that felt like a sharp rise in difficulty at which point I gave up. I For a compo game this is super impressive, well done!
I think it would be better to make the game more quickly paced. Somehow I find the background pretty confusing that it took me a while to realize this is a platform game. Nice work you did there, anyway.
It is Nice to Play The controlls feels good To me. :v: Keep it up.

Cool game, the levels are probably a bit too long or not enough filed with gameplay elements, great entry otherwise !
