Very enjoyable game, the art style is fantastic and the mechanics are interesting and quirky. The subtle touches like being able to activate the lighter and watching items you discard fly from your balloon really bring this game alive. Incredible.
All the challenges of Flappy Bird without being entirely impossible to make progress. Excellent interpretation of the theme. Really nicely done!

The last stage seems unwinnable if all you have after stage 2 is a knife and lighter. It doesn't feel like there is enough time to react to how high or low the balloon needs to go. Also it is unclear how much height you will gain from each item. Also, the restart menu takes too long to get through. The main menu is too easy to click through. And the failure state of needing to restart the level on any failure gets frustrating and it doesn't feel like there is room to learn the mechanics through experimentation easily without frustration. It also took me several tries to figure out that I was also the balloon in the back. I thought that was just another npc for like 3 minutes.
really good and the arts great aswell!
The graphics are brilliant, such a good looking game with some really nice details. Probably could do with a little bit more balancing but overall really nice work!
Amazing game! The art is very beautiful and the mood is amazing too! Congratulations!

Fits the theme really well! Didn't get very far but enjoyed my time so far. The spritework is gorgeous and I love the music!

I really enjoyed the drag & drop mechanic. And the miniature of the objects dropping down was very funny.
Awesome idea and use of the theme! Also didn't got very far, but it was fun!!
Great Job!
Very cool idea! Good job! :top:

It's simple but good idea. The bust of Edgar Poe is amazing!)) And I really thought a long time what I want to throw away - a teapot or a gold bar.

I love the art ^^ too bad it's only on windows. I would like to try it
I love this concept! Having to throw your stuff away fits perfectly with the balloon element, and is funny too. The game also looks and sounds great. Amazing work.
The only thing I'd change is to make text pass with player input, rather than ina timed way. I can never finish reading texts like that, haha
Well made game, I enjoyed playing it and found it kinda fun. Great job!

Great job with the art and music. Idea of staying afloat by sacrificing stuff is nice, although I'd prefer having some more breathing time or slower pacing overall, as sometimes you die almost immediately before you have a chance to drop the closest thing to a mouse, let alone think about what you have to save. Same goes for interaction itself, as you rarely have time to do both lighter and altitude control.
I'd advice to be more benevolent and forgiving to the player, and always remember about difficulty/skill skew you get from essentially training in your game for three days straight vs me, the humble ludum darer who sees your game the first time ever, and has to see and rate many more. Although we all sometimes can be bad at handling that skew =) testing on other people during dev can help a lot.

Such an amazing entry! Bravo! I adored the music choices, the art was wonderful, the shifting gameplay elements kept me on my toes, the physics of the objects and the tiny versions of them getting thrown out of the balloon showed incredible attention to detail and the story was well fitting.
Can we have slower moving exposition texts or control over them please? Those went by too fast for me.
Absolutely fantastic work. You guys should be proud!
Cheers!

Great job! I liked the way you used the theme! It was nice to play.

Awesome, I'm so proud of you, guys!
That's just cool. One of our ideas was also about air ballons and zeppelins. We switched to something else and you nailed yours just perfect. Art is awesome.

very nice take on a simple idea. Love the art, gameplay could get a bit frustrating though

This is a really fun take on the theme! The art and sound is so well done, and I love the details, such as seeing the items thrown out from the actual balloon. The only things I found myself frustrated with were that you couldn't gauge very well how much of a boost you'd get from an item, and it was very punishing to not get items back on reaching the next level. Also, while I love the drag and drop, I feel like gameplay wise it would've been better if you could just click on the item you want to get rid of - that way you could get rid of items in the bottom first for more decision making, and it would save some time when you need that boost right away. Regardless, this is so well done, and incredible work for a jam!
