my mind was wobbling really nice game
@anfaas1618 haha, thanks!
This is a very neat concept. I thought the changes I made/asked for would be consistent. I wanted to be faster and jump higher. Sometimes I thought I was unable to make a jump, and felt it wasn't my fault when I missed.
I really loved when the level went upside down, except I was terrible at playing that way and died right away.
It has a nice variety of effects that can get added to it - although it can get sorta crazy by the end. One minor problem I had with it was that sometimes the choice came up so quickly on death that I was still holding a direction from when I was moving so it picked whichever was in that direction before I could let go.
I think I beat the game... but I had the constant color change so what I think was supposed to be text at the top was just a bunch of weird squares.
A cool idea for a game, though. I feel that the random rotation was the hardest to deal with. Some of those really get in your head and mess with the gameplay.
@bitdecay yep, that should say you win. Sorry about that issue, I didn't think to disable the shader on win :)
This game is probably in need of some balancing, but even so I absolutely love what you’re going for. The sacrifices made me laugh out loud, especially when they combined for things like shifting colors and random zooming. Would love to see this fleshed out post-jam!
Cool game, with a creative interpretation of the theme!
Like those of you who can make nice games using only simple geometric shapes. I should try it someday
Very fun game! I loved those sacrifices, haha!
Cool idea, though some of the effects just make it pretty much impossible (I'm talking random rotation here). Also, the movement easing is a bit too much and the low gravity/high jump make the jumping feel very floaty. Other than that, it's really fun. I'd love to play more levels.
Really fun game; loved the unique take on the theme and appreciated the smooth controls. The wall jump mechanic was pretty neat too. Well done!
@slashee-the-cow it should only count when it is just pressed down, but it could be because you just started pressing to move when you died.
Cool graphics, and cool take on the theme with the powerup selection system and the disadvantages/advantages mix! I found it slightly confusing that I wasn't able to click on the powerup buttons after dying, but using A/D instead was intuitive enough so I figured it out after a moment. I really liked the various effects added into the game too, the lighting/player size/rotation etc, mixing things up. Especially liked the changing disco-y colors :P I (mostly) got the hang of the upside down screen effect after a few tries which was nice.
Nice concept.
@exilegl the changing colours is my favourite as well :)
I'm not sure if the weird camera spinning around was intentional or not... and the text configuration made it impossible to know which the sacrifices were to my choices.
And I'll second the observation that when you die pressing A/D because you were moving, the game chooses one option automatically. :/
@brazmogu the camera spinning around is the powerdown of "random rotation", they are written under the large powerup. Could you send a screenshot, that could be a bug if it is unreadable. Do you mean the As displaying as triangles?
@ajayajayaj The A's do display as triangles, yes, but I figured that was intentional. The real problem is this:

First entry this LD that I've given 5 stars for theme to! Really good entry here, and absolutely dastardly!
The gameplay itself was simple and satisfying until death, whereupon it becomes crazy. I wish there were checkpoints, as that did make it very difficult - in fact I found it rather unplayable at random rotations, but some mixups like fading in and out, becoming bigger, but getting moon gravity was super interesting and a really cool challenge!
I absolutely loved the changing colours sacrifice, oddly. It made it look really really pretty, actually, albeit very distracting, which is obviously the point haha.
Some music would have really made this shine, but it's a compo entry, so that's perfectly understandable, and I can really see the results of you focussing gameplay. Plus I know you're a programmer :)
Well done! Hope you're proud of this entry.
I won! o/
Nice take on the theme. The controls are correct but it could be nice to let the player use the arrows, that way, non qwerty players can play without alt-shifting and it can be more "comfortable" for some to use the right hand to play.^^
The graphics and SFX are also correct.
As for the gameplay, the various graphical alterations made by the perks add a cool vibe^^. The rotation and zoom things are well made and thought as well, it's disorienting but not too much. The way you can stick to the surfaces is a really nice features, it really adds to the game and how to play.
I played the JAR version on windows and had no bug or problem whatsoever.
Anyway, good job!
I really loved the concept of this game. Great use of the theme to give the player a boost at the sacrifice of some negative gameplay effects. I really appreciated how the positive and negative effects did not stack up on each other, because that would make the game waaay too challenging. I found it a bit tough to perfectly time my jumps onto the platforms with enemies on them, especially the one with two enemies on it. But I was able to beat the game after a dozen or so tries. Congratulations on making a complete game in 48 hours!
@brazmogu Ah, I see. I tried to make it resize at known screen sizes, try making it slightly smaller, it should resize to fit the text. Sorry about that :)
I really appreciate your idea and the art style. The mods are also very interesting. I died many times to experience different combinations. The matter is that it is too difficult to control. I felt so hard to progress further. If simpler at the beginning then it would be much better. It is already enjoyable anyway. Nice job!
