Very nice sounds
@troyd Thanks, I used Chiptone http://sfbgames.com/chiptone/
When I first saw the spiders, and they started pulling the screen in, I sorta flipped out. Excellent use of the theme for a mechanic, terrifying holding off of the inevitable.
Got a little easier at very small sizes, since you could pretty much just shoot in one spot. Well done for a weekend's work.
Feels great, sounds great, and looks great! The art and animations are terrific, same goes for the soundtrack and effects! Gameplay, though...
Well my biggest problem is the hitbox. Once the stalkers had about a third of the screen, it was basically an instant loss because of how sensitive the hitbox is. Graze the void for a split second and you die. Which brings me to my other problem, the respawn time is too long. If you die while a stalker is about to start pulling the void, it pulls it for a good long time before you can respawn. All of my game over's occurred while I was waiting to respawn, and because of problem 1, respawning doesn't matter because of the unplayably miniscule space you have left.
I give so much harsh criticism because I really love the game otherwise. It actually kind of hurts to give it a review like this since I feel like I'm criticising it for what it's supposed to be. But I've got to be fair and honest.
this is good sound effects on point sattisfying to shoot addictive and fun well done
Love the visuals and the backgroundmusic! goodjob!
I cannot change shoot direction to my move direction, which I think is bad. Good music!
Really nice game.
Way too hard for me. Impressive art works and audios.
PS: I'm confused by the url because it seems the name is untitled-shrinking-shooter (lol)
Liked the music a lot. Might be better to dont die when you hit the walls, it makes it really hard to shoot the spiders from the side
Nice game, audio & graphics are good but felt the world closed in too fast.
 GG! Really enjoyed the game, controls need a bit of improvement tho!
1. Fixed controller d-pad possibly not working. 1. Fixed analog stick - Drifted when idle because of lacking deadzone - Could almost never shoot left or right
Really nice game overall! Love the art style and the sound effects! Great job! :)
Nice interpretation of the theme! I found the enemy spawns to be a little bit too random, which made the game harder than necessary.
Your game is enjoyable, and even if the graphics are not those of a horror ame, it's still scary and stressful due to the gameplay. Nice work !
I like the concept of your enemies pulling the void inward like that, and I thought the sound effects were nice I'd say the biggest issue was not being able to fire in 360 degrees. That made the game extremely difficult. If you wanted to keep the 4-directional firing, then perhaps reduce the number of enemies per wave or slow down the rate at which the level shrinks. Maybe only certain, less common spiders will shrink the level, and the others will just criss-cross and pose a threat.
This game is really hard! The hit detection when the player is near the edge is not very accurate. I think it would help a lot if the bullets could fly outside of the room. It may also be more fun if the room reset, even a little it, when you complete a level.
Fun little game!
Huh, what a super cool idea! I really really like the way the area pulls in, it just feels so interesting. It was pretty annoying to die instantly if you get anywhere near the edge, but that's a minor gripe. The ability to attack+strafe felt pretty nice too. Nice work!
Wow, this is tough! I couldn't make it a full level before I ran out of space, and the game crashed when the room completely closed in.
