Really well designed! Graphics are simple, but there are a bunch of enemy types and all of the mechanics seem very well-thought out. Well done for a game made over a weekend.

The UI icons don't really fit the otherwise pixel-arty style of game. The shooting mechanic is rather fun though. Really liked the fact that there were multiple types of enemies! Good job!
Fun!
I had a blast playing this one! Simple and well designed. You made good use of the theme and the variety of enemies is great! I also enjoyed your pixel work. Great submission!
challenging! very nice concept. I think it would work better if the dead enemies blocked enemy shots, which might add a little more of a tactical element to the game, i.e. destroy cover for points or use it for defence etc. Graphics look great except lettering/typography and background. hand drawn would fit your design a lot better. Well done, good start and solid entry :)
The physics and controls felt really solid. I like that the bodies stick around and make it more challenging to move around. I would make the background and UI more consistent with the style of the characters and maybe add some camera shakes. But still it was a very fun game :)
Thanks for the comments! I made a pixelated postcompo version to fit everything in a pixelated style.
@jamesolivermusic Theoretically that is a good idea. However, I used to have the bullets blocked by objects, but this makes them quite ineffective as they would almost never reach the player.
Nice Work ! Good concept, i appreciate the fact that the dead ennemies were stacking on the floor and were usefull. It will be great to have more information about HP, like an HP bar or some hero's head to indicate how many times we were hit. i liked the music too, it reminds me some old games in my childhood ^^. only one negative point, but it's not really negative ^^, i had to switch my keyboard language to play correctly, but it's a detail. Good job, it was a good experience. ps: sorry for my bad english, i try to do my best ^^
Great game! Very cool and interesting! :D
Fun little game !
The controls do feel a bit weird to use, I would have prefered LMB to shoot and space to jump, I died numerous times because I fired instead of jumping and vice versa.
But nice game overall, keep it up !
Nice idea! Gameplay is also good, as well as the character art! In my opinion background doesn't really fit the pixel art of the characters! Keep up the good work!
Awesome game! The core concept fits the theme *really* well, so great job on that. There is a surprising amount of depth in arranging, dodging, and juggling the enemies. Making the gun shoot upwards only is an amazing decision! It really encourages you to take care of the playfield so it doesn't become too cluttered to move around in. I also like how each enemy is unique, expands the game in an interesting way, and fits well into the overall picture (except for the gems, which I feel work best in isolation or with bats).
I think the double jump could use a bit of work; the earlier you jump in the air the higher you travel, which is somewhat counter-intuitive. In general, I wished for more precise air control, perhaps a jetpack of some kind. Whether I could escape the enemies as they surrounded me felt random at times.
That said, I had a *lot* of fun with this and probably spent way too much time playing :)
Nice little game. Fun.
This is solid. A bit janky at times but very fun.
I thought I'd be able to shoot anywhere because of the cursor, but sadly couldn't. Other than that, the game feels polished and has some unique objectives and consequences. I liked it nice job!
Very nicely done. Love how clean the art style is and how easy it is to pick up. Plus there's the convenience factor of it being html5. Could totally see this being a nice game on like addictinggames that you'd try to play in secret while the teachers aren't looking lol.
Very nice to play, and quite fun! Took me a while to figure out I could double jump, got a lot easier when I did. Solid entry!
it's a really solid game! just a tip: next time try to keep every pixel at the same scale. for example, the pixels of the floor are way smaller than the rest, it makes everything look a lot more proffesional! (but don't worry too much about that, it's not that important)
This was really fun! Kind of a mash up between Space Invaders and Candy Crush, maybe?! Something like that, haha! At any rate, nice work on the design, and great use of the theme. Cheers!
