I didn't make it very far before I killed my town, overall fun though. :)
The game may lack a little explanation, but is really cool! Original idea
The game lacks a simple tutorial; however, it is entertaining and fits the theme really well!
I really liked the game's concept and even enjoyed playing it! I think that its UI/UX design could be a bit better though.
I did not understand at first, it takes a bit of time to get what you can do, but after this it's an interesting management game. I think a tutorial would really help new players.
I finished it! Everyone is still alive! Yay Fell in love with the game, its fun and very addictive. This minimalistic style fits the game really well.
Really enjoyed this game, it is deeper than it first seemed! Always pleasantly surprised when discovering a new resource/building. It gave me similar vibes to the text adventure game "A Dark Room". "The Journey has taken 2642 years" for me :) Cool that you used two interpretations of running out of space, and this game really has the sci-fi feel to it, it was great. The visuals for the ground and builds could be bigger!
I really liked it. Its a little difficult at the beginning, but once you get the Idea of it, its a really cool game. I probably played it for 30 minutes until I reached earth. Thanks :)
Great game! Quite hard and the metrics can be a little obscure, but it isn't anything too difficult figuring out! Pretty amazing for a one man job!
Good Gaming Idea, Music needs to be improved Graphics good
@awiX the game doesn't have music?
Its a nice game idea, but the small display and the lack of a tutorial made the first few minutes a little confusing (rapid and randomly placing down mines and farms).
Nevertheless, when I got a hang of the game it was quite nice and addictive, and quite some potential.
Overall, good job.
overall i liked the game - i wanted to be able to place the items myself and it might have been good to make the elements bigger when you upgraded them - at any rate was fun - thanks for making it
Nice game mechanics! Easy to understand and play. Well done :)
It was good experience. The game have quite addictive gameplay. Very interesting to know what's new will open next after improvements.c33840605a.jpg
The lack of tutorial in this game is a good thing in my opinion, understanding everything by yourself was great and rewarding, there are enough mechanics to make the game challenging and a bit complex. Goot job for this well executed idea (and playing a game directly online is always nice )
I was very suprised that building the engine was not the last step but a lot of work was still needed to end the game
Really good management game for a 3 days jam ! It's really satisfying to discover new building/functionality and adapt accordingly.
The main drawback to me is the lack of speed up option. Once you managed to set up a durable "city" it's rather boring to wait for the next building/research (I'm writing this review while the game is running in the background :,) )
As for tutorial, I must agree with the other reviews, a little explanation of the basics features wouldn't have hurt.
Gratz for the submission !
wow, the 1st playthrough is stressful (in a good way) ! It gets really tense when not knowing how many total tiles you'll still need in the future. I mined 25 tiles at the beginning and kept hives at 1 max as much as possible. I overshot food and oxygen before I understood how to regulate population (at fist i kept 2 heavily improved houses but then the population dropped heavily, that's when I understood the number of houses is also the number of pop you'll gain each time). At the end I just sold every lab and factory and boosted my way to Earth by going so fast I nearly missed the whole milky way lol :p A well-rounded incremental game with tight resources balancing, good job !
I'd suggest to add on houses a "pop/tick" explanation somewhere. Also, is there something to gain from further "alien culture" after antimatter, or only science bonus ? It's hard to know when to stop researching ^^
Great concept, horribly balanced? This game really needs a tutorial or perhaps some way of explaining the mechanics to the player, I couldn't understand why my population kept expanding so rapidly and I wasn't able to keep up with the constantly increasing food and housing demands for more than a few minutes before I died trying to get the research upgrades. I think this game has potential, it just needs a bit more iterating to get the balance right.
Really nice game, and I like how you have to permanently give up some tiles, just so you can get the starting money do setup everything. I did have an issue however, with trees not actually producing any oxygen as stated. So when I researched that I seemed to end up losing oxygen even faster for each forest I build and so ended up dying, even though I had about 4 population remaining and should have been getting around 800 oxygen per second, not sure if this was a bug. Otherwise a really good game well done.
I loved the game! My score was 1416 years. I could have done better though  I think the game needs music and sound effects. Everything else was great.
Fun game! My score was like 2600 years. Surprisingly there were lots of surprise moments in there, and lots of depth. And Lots of Waiting.
I also do wonder how the oxygen use was calculated... i guess some later buildings needs oxygen too but i never guess why or how.
Yay, got there in 2796 years. Not the best score I see :D
As for the game – I usually dislike cookie-clicker-type games. I think part of the reason I dislike them is that even though you have setbacks whenever you make an investment, you know that ultimately it is worth it and you will get your money (or cookies or whatever) back given a bit of time. There is no challenge to it. With your game, I felt my resources were a bit more important and so I was reluctant e.g. to mine out a lot of the space, reluctant to nuke the hives, etc. Not knowing what was coming next was great, it had a bit of discovery to it.
Apart from that, the graphics are cute enough, nice to see the progression as you level up your tech.
Nice game :)
Love the concept but needs a better UI. The land was very small and the building buttons would do better on the bottom. As well stats would work well with some graphics. Such as showing icons for food, housing, etc.
