john-palmer 2018-08-14 00:41

Cant run the game i hope it isnt a scam :(

sciman101 2018-08-14 00:44

Having the same issues as these other two guys, can't run the game for some reason. Double clicking the .exe just does nothing

aevek 2018-08-14 00:46

Hi the exe doesn't seem to work for me (windows 10 x64).

ice-maker 2018-08-14 00:55

SORRY EVERYONE I ACCIDENTALLY FORGOT THE .PCK FILE It should work now ._.

darkguardsman 2018-08-14 00:55

Game will not run, sadly it does look good

arch 2018-08-14 01:09

Hey guys, I cannot seem to click on the "Play button". If you could fix it, I would love to play your game.

ice-maker 2018-08-14 01:28

If you run the program and the play button doesn't work, try restarting it ._.

jesusache 2018-08-14 02:05

I enjoy the game a lot. Its clean, and I specially like the difficulty curve, every level pushes a bit more than the last. There's a funny bug, if you die on X stage and replay the game, after beating level 1 again, you get sent to level X+1. I missed the last third of levels 5 6 and 7 because of this. Overall nice game, I wouldn't mind playing more levels of this :D

dylan-shumway 2018-08-14 02:14

Pretty enjoyable overall!! The rising ink, while not a new trope, provides a lot of fun and tense platforming moments that make levels engaging. You also manage to combine the few elements you have in interesting ways that make each level feel fresh! There were occasional weird moments with how switching sides of the screen would affect momentum, and a problem where the play button wouldn't work if you clicked on instructions first or died (this was fixed with a restart), but it was a good time!

mrserp 2018-08-14 02:48

Agree with the praise given so far, but that soundtrack though, good job on the sound design with that!

cincerteri 2018-08-14 03:44

I managed to run the game. It's quite fun to play, although I wish you received a new life after beating a level.

aevek 2018-08-14 06:35

I enjoyed what I was able to play, but had to try to launch the game several times in order to make the 'play' button work every time I got kicked out to the main menu (I made it almost thru the 3rd level). Feels like a solid platformer from what I saw, and looks really nice too. I like the rising ink too, it provides a nice sense of urgency.

halfmule 2018-08-14 13:07

I would have liked to play it, but even with the .PCK-file and five restarts I could not leave the main menu.

watdowtal 2018-08-14 14:39

I didn't have any of the problems others seem to have. This game was really cute! I liked the sound and music, though sometimes the controls were annoying. Good work! Also, Godot!

alexey-tarabrin 2018-08-15 14:29

I like this difficulty curve Game Designer works well =)

paulo-augusto 2018-08-15 18:48

eoku 2018-08-16 01:41

Overall, a pretty solid game for a weekend. It's nothing too special, but honestly, that's fine. I liked it well enough.

hunter-towe 2018-08-16 09:53

There are some things I noticed while playing: - The play button doesn't work unless the fading transition is done. - The intensity of the boost the TNT crates give you depends on whether or not you're holding the jump button.

The play button is of course just a minor bug. In regards to the TNT crates, I think it would be nice to either have that detail explained in the instructions, or perhaps have them always apply the same force.

Other than that, I really like this! I think the music is actually quite addicting and well made, although it would've been even better if we also had some in-game music. The graphics are really nice in my opinion, and while the text could be a little crisper and less blurry, it's still not bad. The use of the theme in this game was especially good.

All in all, this was a fun little game! Good work!

alex-lutay 2018-08-17 04:24

Great level design! You've managed to resolve one of the hardest task of all game jams - to teach player steadily. Good job!

Cheers!

shell-pirate 2018-08-18 12:42

A solid platformer! The graphics were simple but worked and the music on the menus sounded good, although I am not sure why there wasn't any during the actual gameplay. The controls felt responsive but also just a bit floaty. The level design was alright and the difficulty curve wasn't too unforgiving. I am not a fan of having a game over system as I feel letting the player attempt as many times as they need to is a better option. Also a few bugs in the menus made the buttons unresponsive at times. Other than that solid work!

joror 2018-08-23 13:45

Cool platformer! Liked the looks & feel. Solid jumping / collecting mechanic (even for me, who doesn't like platformers that much) I got the 'play button does not work' problem at first, but after a few restarts it worked. Really look into that one, probably causes a lot of people to not play/score your game.

Menu music was nice too, but missed it in the game itself.

Had a blast playing this on twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/299088812?t=04h14m07s

yuigoto 2018-08-28 22:58

I really liked the game's style overall, but as some people pointed out, I had to start the game multiple times to make the buttons work. Overall, great game feel! :)

andrei9 2018-09-03 13:45
