562 Points! Thats the best I could do.... Mad props to you two for making a game all in z80 assembly. Even more mad props for making a game that looks and plays well too. Now I want this on a cartridge so I can play it on real hardware! (Is there any reason it couldn't be loaded on with a flashcart?). Its a shame that you didn't have time for audio, but I would encourage you to add it later. One thing I noticed, the wrench pickups just prolong the level but don't give bonus points, right? (anything to pad my bad score). It was a nice touch to let you use the crates to slow yourself down, a feature that is unique so far as my past experience with runners is concerned.
I was happy to fire up a gameboy emulator and try this out. Thanks for putting the time and heart into building for a retro system. This played well.
If you don't have a gameboy emulator installed locally, we found that the game does seem to play in a couple of HTML5 / JavaScript based emulators. The following two allow you to load the game:

Wow, it really works. Most impressive. It even has color on a GBA emulator.
Oof, I had to play this just for the title. Really impressed that you built this in assembly in a weekend; it feels super polished, though I'm not clear on what the wrenches were actually doing for me. Great work!
I tried this on my GBA flash cart but it does some weird emulation stuff to play GBC games so it didn't work, on emulator it was great! I would have loved this game as a kid on GBC
Oh that is damn impressive. I don't know if it would be really playable on original hardware due to the afterimages of the first Gameboy screen. I would love to see a entire breakdown/making of this project !
Wow! I'm impressed! I had to do some Google'in to figure out how to play this, but glad I did.
Thank you for submitting your game! I think its inspiring! Great job!
Wow! This is crazy! :D
Great job! I liked the balance between running slow and fast, and the dangers at opposite ends; it was fun. And way to go for making a Gameboy Game!
NICE!
bautiful art style
Absolutely amazing!
This is highly impressive to read. Once you know how to run this game it's fun and equally as impressive to know the backstory.
Good luck, All the best!
it's amazing
Looks awesome, but no html5 version available.
@andrey-ugolnik It's a gameboy game written in z80 machine code, so it's not the most portable thing. :) It should be playable in almost any gameboy emulator though, and there are a few of those that run in HTML5. I found [this one](https://wasmboy.app/) to be the best, but would still recommend a native emulator if you have access to one.
@zeta0134 thanks for your advice, I'll try to check your game on native GB emulator.
Wow, really impressive work! Solid graphical style, a good feeling of speed, it really pulls the player in. Made it to nearly 700. Great job!
I love the Gameboy visual!
Amazing effort for making it for the gameboy.
This is an awesome game and looks really great! I thought the controls were a little unresponsive but it may have just been the emulator I was using. I also thought the speed ramped up really quickly for how little space you have to react to stuff on the screen because of the aspect ratio.
i love the play on words in the name, and am definitely impressed on what you managed to accomplish with a gameboy game.
So impressive! I love how you have to manage the space in front of and behind you. It adds up to probably the most unique infinite runner game I've ever played. Great job!
A good game idea, the music should be improved. The graphics are good. Try our game too, maybe you'll like it)
Really nice game, the graphic style really fits and animations are great keep it up Good Luck🍀
It's really cool that you made a game for the original gameboy. I admire that dedication! It looks and feels really authentic. It is a bit disappointing that there's no music or sound effects; I would have loved to hear some gameboy bleeps and bloops. The game itself is a pretty basic runner, but it's competent for what it is. One thing I noticed is that the box obstacles slow you down, but going slower actually makes the game easier, so there doesn't seem to be much of a point to avoiding them since it takes hitting a very large number of boxes in a row to kill you. Overall, this is a solid game and it's impressive that you made it for the original gameboy. Nice work!
such a cool project! Really awesome. The idea of having to build station in front of you is really cool, though sometimes it was hard to tell if I was actually getting the wrenches. Also I don't like how hitting a ledge seems to result in instant death? I feel like I should still be able to jump and keep going but it just stops me and I die. Oh well its still very good and super cool that you guys made a gameboy game!
Those black and green pixel graphics are very sexy :)
Awesome, i like your challage with GB and graphic style is so pretty. Maybe i should buy same GB from ebay ;)
interesting graphics, stylish appearance
i like the idea and the graphics but the controls feel a bit "wonky" and some sfx would also be nice
