Your link not working..
My entry - https://blackarck.itch.io/block-smash
@tinamil I'm so sorry the links are working now.
@vivek-sharma20 I am sorry the links are working now.
@frostbyte4k , yep working now. The game has lot of potential but the control to generate new blocks is a bit flimsy , also I believe rather than both the mechanism to kill an enemy you can stick with an entrapment sorta function. Cool graphics and audio well done.
Thanks @vivek-sharma20 I wanted there to a bit of chance in the game So that's why it's a bit "flimsy" feeling. Thanks for giving It another shot.
Played through it. I liked the art style, music, and sound effects. I found some of the pixel font text a little hard to read, especially when it was full screen. Mechanically the gameplay was solid, but I felt like it was missing a reason to push out the green, more green doesn't actually make it easier to survive, it's just something to do while you fight the monsters. It might just have needed a score that showed you how many green tiles you had so you could see if you were going up or down.
@Tinamil Thanks for giving the game another chance. when the game over screen pops up it shows your score I should have changed the color to make it stand out more. Thanks for playing.
Cool game! It was a unique idea that fit with the theme and felt fun to play! The graphics were cute and the music was pretty nice! The controls did feel a bit strange at times, and grass spawning did feel kind of inconsistent. The knockback could be annoying at times. If you can look past those hiccups, then what you have here is a solid endless experience! Great job! Here's a link to my game, because you were offering: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/void-incoming
Cool idea, I liked the process of carving out your own unique playing space per run! The ability to uncover special tiles from within the virus could have been an interesting feature.
@wekaj good Idea I didn't think of that
I like it. Its fits well with the theme and as fun simple game play. Its cool how when you hit space the grass branches out like roots. Just a personal prefrance for me would be starting out with a bigger green space.
I'm now a Savior of the Grass. Grass lives matter. I enjoyed the game, so thank you for making it. ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ
@yukki Thank you very much.
Cool game! I love the art style and music. Very fun and addicting.
Charming little game you have here :) solid game play and an interesting concept. I also really like the overall look of the game. Well done!
My favorite part of the game was the music i loved it so much! It was so cheery and happy!
Liked your game a lot, nice art style and great controls
Sweet and cute game. I think you defined the theme really well. It was fun and challenging (maybe too challenging for me, haha).
Cute simple and pretty fun game! Music was ok. Graphics were kinda cute, and I loved the concept of the game. Nice use of the theme!
Nice game! Good job on the music and overall aesthetics. The only thing is that the the grass growths randomly, that often leads to situation when I get 0 grass tiles I can run into when raising grass. Perhaps, this is the catch of the gameplay, but it makes the game a tough one
The art style was great! Solid comp game, was hard but fun. I didn't understand if there were some sort of conditions for where the grass spawned, or if it was just some random blocks around you.
@haj It was just random. Thanks for playing
@kpded yeah I wanted the game to be slightly different each time you play and the randomness ended up being really fun so is sort of just stuck. Thanks for playing
Great art style, nice music and effects. The font is almost unreadable though. And since this is the endless experience I think there should be some kind of point system and may be some upgrades as you progress. Solid entry, congrats :)
Oh this is one of my favs so far. It controls nicely and everything is so cute and well put together.
@antonsem there is score after you die but as you said the font is hard to read and it's the same color as other text. Thanks for playing
@jesusache Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed. You made my day.
@frostbyte4k oh yeah, I noticed that there was a game over screen but since I was clicking to the enemies too hard I skipped it accidentally the few times I played it :)
Yap, visual style and gameplay are really good. It's nice work !
I like the gameplay pretty much :) Well done! I fear there is a bug with the music settings, when i set it to something below 50% i cannot hear anything anymore
The gameplay was simple but fun, I think it has some potential if you add upgrades/items/new enemies in the future.
The text was kind of uncomfortable to read though. Luckily the game's not reliant on it during gameplay. I couldn't work out what the rules were for grass spawning either, it wasn't much of a problem but some in-game clarification would be good I think.
The aesthetic style worked well too.
Good job overall!
@nerzal the volume doesn't scale very well it's not necessary a bug but I don't completely understand how sound works in game engines yet. Thanks for playing
A very nice take on the theme. It is a bit too difficult.
@cohav0310 if you've played any of my last ludum dare games this game would seem like a walk in the park XD I generally like making difficult games especially since "Getting over it" was released. I'm sorry if the difficulty ruined the game for you. I was trying to get just the right balance but I ran out of time. Thanks for playing.
@frostbyte4k no problem. It just seemed like the progress bar took too long.
The text in the tutorial is a bit hard to read because of the font, but the game is very well done. Nice work!
Is the cure system randomized? Sometimes it doesn't help because it doesn't cure any of the adjacent tile, so I remain trapped or can't move in the direction that I wanted.
Edit: Ah, so it *is* intentional, just read your earlier comment. Nice game!
Main gameplay loop is simple but its compelling enough, the theme is incorporated really well.
