wow this is pretty cool and interesting. i've seen a lot of computer / memory related games this LD but this one takes the cake. Had a little trouble figuring things out in the beginning but hey, I understand it's part of the game. The first time I played I deleted the care bot functions to free some memory but no, that was a bad idea! Overall, this is a great and interesting take on the theme!
I love this so much. The opening of the game and realising that I am functioning as a bot set a really interesting mood/feeling for me. The interactions are simple yet interesting and direct ways of presenting how a bot functions. I like how programmes are needed to be used for multiple actions at different times, with the theme incorporated well into that. Got a hunch when I reached the photographs, and teared up at the end. Amazing music, smooth gameplay transitions, and a storyline that is so well written and directed! Thank you so much for this game, it was really an experience! :')
This is a very good twine narrative fiction. Very innovative in the concepts of install and unninstall programs. I like the reboot when you erase your funcitons XD. Now I want to make one of these :D:D:D Congrats!!
An interesting take on the theme, but I couldn't get very far. I wasn't able to progress past the first rooms, but I did enjoy the idea and music. It seems as though there is a deep, good story hidden here that I was unable to uncover.
@james-dunlap thanks for playing and your feedback! I think I know where you would have gotten stuck which is likely close to the end of the game. There needs to be more of a clue there. We'll make sure to address it in the post-jam version

Wow really good idea. Though it's out of scope for a game jam game, but I would definitely love to see more potential of this programming on bot schema on top of the AVG style, like some logic functioning, some repeatitive movement interacting with some physics, things like that. The music was the best part of this game, I got a great vibe from it. The concept of juggling hard drive space seems neat on paper, but I actually just found it more tedious than anything, since I could only actually fit one program at a time, having to go back and forth between rooms just to get my ability back. Maybe if this was expanded on, and you had more leeway, it would've been more interesting. As for the story, it seems like you were trying to be "deep" or "bittersweet" or something along those lines, but it kind of just fell flat for me because the game was so short. Overall... I wish the game was as good as the music.
@sidnoea thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you liked the music, it inspired me to put the mp3s on the itch.io page for download. We originally intended to have more exploration that would help tell the story better and in a more subtle way but we ran out of time, as you do sometimes in Ludum Dare :). So hopefully a future version will be better in that department.

Loved the mood in this game, and had fun playing it! I'm not sure I understand why I had to delete the care function at the end though (after meeting Harold).
I was surprised at how moving the ending was! You used color and font much more effectively in Twine than we were able to figure out; congratulations on that, too. As others have mentioned, the music is first-rate: five stars. Regrettably, not being able to revisit [spoiler] with the proper [spoiler] seems a bit artificial, though necessary to keep the story going, and I do wish it had been longer; you've established a world worth exploring.
Music, ambiance and visuals (even if it's mostly text) is absolutely gorgeous, I love the soundtrack. I find this jam entry very beautiful. I had a little bit of difficulty at first understanding what to do, but I quickly ignored it by the nice mood it was emitting. Good Job!

I really enjoyed your game. Like, a lot. Okay I loved it haha. The music really helps to set the mood, especially at the end, and the game itself isn't as hard as I thought, so it doesn't break the immersion by frustration. The end twist is simple but means a lot and that's beautiful.
...Wait?! While I was writing this I just realized something! **Spoiler alert** Is the patient at the beginning Meredith but something happened to her and she doesn't respond anymore? It would explain the content of the zip file... Okay if it's the case it just added more feels (\*going to click that 5-stars mood right now\*). I didn't get that directly but it makes way more sense now haha
Anyway, you did a very great job!!

i like it!!! most of all because you can imagine being a little robot, and presentation helps a lot. it's really interesting how mechanics of a twine game reinforce this imaginative experience... like your actions are always limited, and all you have is a list of commands and some data, there is this sense of deprivation of senses, as if you coudn't see or coudn't touch things, but you still interact with the world by examining inputs and producing outputs, and it felt peculiarly robot'ish. and music and the styling of text set the tone very nicely.
Great entry... Also: I didn't expect all those feels from a jam game ;_;
