I played a dozen of levels it's really catchy :) nice game
Wow, very impressive for compo. Good use of the theme, particularly impressed with overall look and level generation.
Music is decent and fits the feel of the game.
I Possibly played this a little to longer than I should have. Solid line puzzle the time limit was probably a little to lenient on most levels once i got into a rhythm of things but a well made puzzle game
Nice, fun game, Good job on managing to get the 3d graphics etc and procedural levels etc. all in the compo. Solid puzzler. Maybe larger levels with more time would have been fun too.
Nice work. I played way longer that i thought I would :)
Thanks for the kind words so far! Yeah with a bit more time I'd have liked to have balanced the difficulty in terms of the time calculation a bit better. However if you get past level 15+ the towns get pretty big and you can get fairly lost!
This was very entertaining to play. Fits the theme very well and I was surprised on how well the procedural generation worked.
** First Impression **: Interesting concept :)
** Graphics **: You even managed to create 3D Models, as well as balancing the lighting effects with the 2D style of the puzzle area :)
** Sound **: I like the soundtrack altough it kind made me think i would have a time limit to finish a level because of speed nature of it, maybe something slower would have fit too :)
** Gameplay **: I play this longer than i like to admit :D altough after some time i would have like more variation in the different puzzle tiles available :)
** Overall **: You did a really great job :) you even managed to put in procedural generation for an endless amount of levels i am impressed :)
Thanks Loktor. I was originally planning nodes that went in diagonals for more variety, but ran into a few problems that I didn't have time to fix. The main issue was if you rotate a line to 45 degrees, now it's not long enough to reach the neighbouring line....duh!
Those pieces are probably still in the asset folder somewhere so I might have another stab at it one day.
Nice :) would really like to try it out if, you find a solution for the problem, maybe you could make pieces which have a mix of an diagonal axis which is long enough and and straight one? :) but yeah the issue with the time is very understandable for the compo :D
This is definitely the most enjoyable LD39 puzzle game I played so far. The goal is simple and clear, idea fits the theme, execution is solid. Good job!
I always anjoy a good puzzle game in LD. I really liked that the generation seemed to ensure that there always was a viable solution.
Thanks guys. @aggrathon - Yes, there's always a solution, it builds out from the source node in a tree-like fashion, until it runs out of space to place new nodes. Then it just shuffles all the rotations. When you get to the bigger levels it's quite possible there's multiple solutions and not just the one it generated.
Cool art! Good job/
Really fun puzzle game! A very simple concept, but it was executed very well. The time limit was stressful, but that added to the experience. I kept seeing a way to chain the last few wires together right as the time limit was getting out.
One thing I noticed was that the game slowed down a lot with each new house lit. I don't know if it could be optimized further but the difference between the silky smooth frame rate at the beginning of a level with the choppiness of the end is very noticeable, and fairly annoying. **I was playing the web build**
The sound effects give it a nice feel as well.
Great work!
Thanks - yeah I didn't have time to track down/address the slow down. Probably it was just having that many lights in the scene...
Fun puzzle game! I made it through level 16 (3060) before quitting. It was also getting a little choppy then (also on the web build). The art was nice and fits the theme very well. I think some levels were perhaps too easy - there were lots of different solutions to them - it should be possible to generate levels with fewer solutions (although, maybe that just requires more pieces which have only 2 inputs/outputs, which makes for a less interesting puzzle... so maybe it's fine as-is ^_^).
Niceeeee job. Really enjoyed that a lot. The flickering lights add a really nice touch, my only suggestion would be to slightly increase the hitbox size for the rotation because it sometimes seemed like I would miss because I was a pixel off.
Pretty good puzzle game. You may have a bit too much time to complete the level, as I did 18 levels without dying. But the game is interesting and nice to play. I was often trying to click on the cable instead of the house itself, which was a bit disturbing. The beginning level have maybe too much solutions so you don't really have to think to solve. Latter levels started to have more complex solutions and became more interesting. Keep up the good work.
I like the lights flickering at the end of a successful level. the Music was nice. I liked this little twist on a pipes game.
A nice and simple game that was a lot of fun to play. I liked the end of level animation and the sound design was pretty good. Well done!
I ended up with the a high score of 1935! It took me a while to get there, haha. I really enjoyed this game, the graphics work well and the puzzles are challenging enough to be interesting even though the function is always the same. The timer also seemed very appropriate. Thanks for this entry, it's definitely one of the best ones I've seen this week!
Even though it's a known game, it's been adapted to the theme surprisingly well. You've managed to create a "pretty" game using only basic shapes from Unity, and that's saying something! The lighting you used i think it's the key: it dominates and gives depth to the rather simple models, and it serves as a "progress meter" as well as a fun way to see which houses you're missing. Personally, I think that if you put even some more work in the lighting, maybe you wouldn't even need to paint red the "unused" power connectors! Buut, that's just a random though.
Overall, well rounded game. The only thing that bugged me at the beggining was having to click on a house to turn the connectors. Sometimes i tried to click the connector itself, and ended up changing the one behind it. It isn't really a problem, but i guess i'd mention it here.
Good job! Simple yet fun, and addicting!
Nice take on one of my favorite classic concepts! Enjoyed playing a lot and quite liked the visual effects.
