Really good game ! It is really ambitious. The graphics are good, the humor is not the best but it is still good, the music is really chill, and there is a nice gameplay. Loved it

Quite the project for such a short amount of time! It lacks some polish and there are some bugs / frustrating things like cooked fish disapearing, if you put in raw one, without taking the cooked one out first. But overall it's a neat game.
Nice job. I can recommend to improve graphics animations since you got a nice system running in your game.
Tons of content here for an LD game. I'm super impressed by all the interactions/crafting/items you've implemented in 48 hours.
The game isn't super 'fun' just yet, but I can definitely see this expanding into a great survival game. The TV-show parody theme is genius too. It gives you a non-contrived win condition (last 5 days), which I like in survival games. Much better than just survive as long as you can.
Great stuff!
Pretty ambitious to have a survival game for LD but you managed to pull it off! Needs some bug fixing though - if I eat cooked fish it doesn't remove it, rather it removes the last item in my inventory, so I could eat cooked fish all day and let it remove my sticks instead. There were also some z-ordering problems. Didn't manage to use the traps, but I used the fishing rod. Music was pretty cheery which was a bit clashing with dying of hunger. Nice humor too. Managed to last 5 days. Nice and short!
Good submission overall! The UI Looks really good and the controls are very intuitive. The only bug I ran into was when you lay a trap it requires inventory space even though you don't gain anything... Anyways, great job! I would have never attempted a survival game but you pulled it off!
It's an ambitious compo entry, but it works. It's very clever, with an amusing take on the theme. Nice little soundtrack too. I'm surprised you don't have many ratings - this game deserves to be seen.
This is really cool!
Good idea, and execution too, but the cooked fish didn't leave my inventory after I ate it, so I basically had infinite food.
How has this not gotten 20 ratings yet? There was so much to do and so many good ideas put together in just a couple of days! A really swell game, I hope you keep working on it!
Simple and easy. Good job for a compo. The music gets a bit annoying, but that might just be because I've heard a lot of 8-bit music while testing LD games these past two weeks :p In terms of game mechanics, I don't really understand the point of the selection square thingy. Why can't I just use the mouse to click on items I wish to interact with? When there are just 4 directions my character can point at, I struggled a bit to focus the square on the item I wanted.
It's an interesting design... it felt like the hunger meter dropped really fast and felt pretty unforgiving. I think it could have used some more tutorials or something to help with explaining more of the mechanics. I didn't really see any way to start a fire. I also felt like my inventory was always full, to the point of where it felt a little off. I also noticed that if I tried to place a trap and my inventory was full, it didn't let me place the trap.
This was good! It feels a lot like Don't Starve and I think there's enough variety of things to do that I tried playing around 5 or 6 times!
There was a bug where I tried to trap the bunny next to the fire pit but the bunny was still there, with the trap and I couldn't actually get any meat from the trap. The trap mechanics did work for the bunnies further south though.
This was a lot of fun. Well done. Cursor placement got a little odd at times, having to inch in, sometimes it didnt recognise things I had IN the cursor.
That music though... it drove me nuts every time!
Fun take on the theme and gameplay worked pretty well. Music and graphics were pretty nice.
Well done!
Ah, this was extremely ambitious and you pulled it off quite well! I'm impressed that you were able to add in so many elements in such a short amount of time. Well done!
This was a fun game with a lot of content for a compo game! Only thing missing was maybe some animations to make it a bit more vibrant. Very well done!
This was a great, funny little game! One minor suggestion I'd make is to allow the player to eat berries without having to put them into their inventory first. It's kind of redundant and they basically serve as quick little pit stops for the players energy.
I'd love to see an improved upon version with bears, predators and a multi day survival loop. And Mr. Brills hamming it up for the camera :P
Great work!
Funny game ! Cool concept and features, the easiest way to win is to make a fire go for anorexia and sleep but I wanted to have some more plays to try much :) Cutting trees needs a lot of power and it makes it dangerous but i had to explore the game for a while, and find out what was in the chest on the left. After a few tries I survived once again until there is only one hour left and then died fishing because it is almost as exhausting as cutting trees ahahah :) Maybe with a few more balance and features, the game could be very enjoyable. I was sometimes stuck with the inventory and couldn't manage to change from my backpack to my hand so i died this way too :D good job!
