Don't ever distribute a Linux build in rar! tar.xz, tar.bz2, tar.gz, even zip, just not rar; it's a shitty and closed format.
It's a nice simple asteroid game. It gave me a music staff impression and I'd really love it if was a G-clef instead of a cliche spaceship, dodging the notes of a Beethoven symphony. Wouldn't have anything to do with energy, though. Nevertheless, it was fun to play while it lasted, but why didn't you go for the compo?
>(And take a look at the sources if you’re interrested! )
I'm not looking at 170 MiB sources, it sounds scary.

Thank you for playing and rating!
"Don’t ever distribute a Linux build in rar! "
Don't know much about linux actually, sorry if i've done something wrong. I'll be carefull to choose the right open format next time ;)
"I’m not looking at 170 MiB sources, it sounds scary."
hehe, I know it's a big one: i just put the all thing in it (understand code, blender files, textures, unity project ect...). It may be unpractical but anyway, I prefer to give access to ALL the "sources" of the graphic part: The coding part is not that interresting to be honest (not much going on, and unity take care of a lot of things anyway), what's more interesting imo is the mesh files from blender or even textures. These files are quite heavy, but you can open them and find the high and low resolution models, this way you can understand the whole thing.
"why didn’t you go for the compo?"
Just didn't had the time to do so: simple as that ;)

129 km. :)
Asteroids look cool and also the ship (when it's big like on the promo art).
Nice work!

Pretty good entry! I do agree with the above though - .rar builds make me sad.. and I'm on OSX :( tarball or zip would be perfect!
Very pretty graphically, and solid mechanically. Good job!

Hello, fellow artist here, I love what you've done with the graphics ! I will most certainly download and study your sources, I'm pretty sure I can learn a thing or two with it :)
There is a nice feeling of speed and the intro scene was great. Only things I dislike are the white separator lines. I understand why they are here but still, I think they break immersion.
Great job overall, a simple yet beautiful game

Sick visuals! I enjoyed playing when it got fast but sometimes the W/S keys would double click and I would end up hitting the rocks :/ dont know if it's my computer or a bug. But overall a great job!

Simple and cool, not anything to write home about, though. The trade-off of getting more life by accelerating is interesting, but it could use more variation as the time goes by.
Oh, and the graphics look nice. Those are some smooth asteroids, there.

> Don’t ever distribute a Linux build in rar! Don't distribute ANYTHING in rar, ever. RAR has no competitive advantage over open formats like 7z. It should be dead format long time ago :)
Game is quite nice, looks pretty. One minor issue - when I resized game window GUI disappear.
Nice game. I like the graphics a lot.
When I try to install the game on windows through the itch-app it doesn't install at all for some reason.

@local-minimum Don't know how the itch-app work at all, I suggest you to download the game and run it the "good old way"; I am going to investigate during the weekend though, if it doesn't work for some reason I will find it out!

This was a simple but fun game with some great visuals - well done on those. However, I did notice that the amount I'd move after pressing W or S was often inconsistent, sometimes moving one row, as I'd expect, but sometimes, even after a light tap, I'd move two rows into the path of an asteroid. Maybe I just have poor reaction times, but I think that perhaps the time delay before moving another time should be increased?
That said, the graphics were great and the intro scene was fun. The mechanics were fun too.
I like it. It's fun, simple and the graphics are nice. I didn't find myself using the accelerate mechanic very often though; I found it easier to not use it.
@juan, if you tweet at the itch-crew they will probably help if you don't manage to figure it out.
I finally managed to install it and play, though it wasn't as easy as just downloading either because 7zip gave an error when triggered from within firefox. I could unpack it from the file manager though. I'd suggest not using rar to start and repackage the game.
Now to the game itself. It had splendid graphics. Really well made. And that was mainly what I enjoyed. It was nice that the game wasn't super impossible to start, but pretty soon I stood no chance. Well executed game. Perhaps make the ramp up of speed a bit slower so I could feel more invested and annoyed when I finally die. Perhaps not killing on first crash but losing a lot of power. Perhaps a highscore system.
Cool graphics, simple and effective interactions. *Seen-it-done-that* sure, but the acceleration mechanic was somewhat novel. I'm addicted to speed so I spammed it way too much to my own detriment.
You could add some more abilities for the ship, like slow-down, slow-mo, shield, weapons, etc. Everything uses energy of course.
Ok work, what can I say.

I've made an endless runner too. :) Thanks for providing a linux version! Very nice entry, simple but fun, I just wish it wouldn't be instant death when you hit an asteroid, but damaging the ship hull instead. I like the mini story you've written, too bad the pilot can never succeed... :D Overall, I liked your game, now I'm off for rating.

I made it to 250 km! Very hardcore, very well made. I loved the particle effects :)
Fantastic graphics! The intro cutscene looked absolutely amazing. As an endless runner this is pretty competent, though with somewhat finicky controls. I noticed several times that I moved two spaces when I intended to only move one. I was also a bit bothered by the fact that I couldn't see the entire ship on screen - especially after hitting an obstacle I could barely see the ship at all so it took me a few tries before I realized that I had two lives to play with.
Overall, a great entry! Good job!

20+ ratings O_O ThX a lots to all of you guys!
@frogcheese : " I was also a bit bothered by the fact that I couldn’t see the entire ship on screen "
Could you, please, give me a screenshot of your problem? It sounds like a scene scaling issue on your screen, that's quite embarrassing, for sure...

it's not an instant death if you use the "moSpeedButton" (spacebar). I forgot to write it inside the game itself so maybe it wasn't obvious to hit that button, my bad! (The rescue team is a lie)
