My one complaint looking at screenshots: Why do commands have a / before them? The rest of the consoles look like Linux, so why a slash?

I've been wrestling with that question all weekend. There's literally no reason for them, but alas, here we are on Tuesday morning. I think it was because I had intended to include other console behaviors, like an @ prefix to call a command remotely without linking. So it made sense for actual commands to be prefixed I guess? It's probably something I'll remove next time I touch this.
is it also on indiexpo.net?

But seriously, I really appreciate the work you put into the look of the game. My only bug is that the screen controls work when you're typing in the terminal and entering a command deselects the terminal...
~~Ah yeah I should try and fix that now that judging got pushed back. It'll only be a bugfix for making the controls focus properly and the clicking not go through the UI, if that's cool with everyone.~~
Unfortunately don't really have the time to fix this, also agree with the point that if it's not game breaking it should stay. Hopefully it's not too annoying.
~~It'll be a separate build of course.~~
I harvested all the things. Not sure what else to do? Couple of things that drove me crazy: having to click back in the console after typing a command, and moving/rotating around whilst typing commands. Music is nice!
Everything is super cool about your game except the lack of more gameplay. How I wish there's more!
Vexels are beautiful, audio is great too.
Solid foundation for a great game
When operating in a console the camera is rotating and zooming with some inputs but it's not a problem, The retro style is amazing, music also fits, even tho there is almost nothing to do in this game its really nice concept. I like it :D
A nice idea overall, especially for such a short period of time, though I really do not get operating everything via the command line, except there's a good reason for that. What I'd advise is to control the bots via some sort of a dialogue, create some type of smart AI. "Work, work" "Be happy to" etc. Yeah, I know it's time-consuming. Just for the future development of this particular game. Smth like "/go harvest" and the bot knows where to go without any additional clicking. You do not really need that extra-click. Let it be smarter :)
Some sort of a dialogue could occur: you: "go build" bot: "no mun - no fun!"
Et cetera.
I really lack a nice little goal here. A goal is a game. For now its a toy and an idea. Give me a reason to operate.
###Art and Music. Totally awesome. Go on with that.
Please go on with that. The game deserves its development. Your strong side is art. Let it blossom. And add some humor and purpose. That will build you the 1st prototype worth pitching to a publisher or kickstarter. GO ON!
The idea with the console was pretty nice, but I have to say it is annoying when the screen moves while typing in the console just because you want to press a already binded key. There is not much to this game right now but I can clearly see what there would be and I am sure that would be a lot of fun. I really like the idea of not having direct impact on controlling something like in most other RTS games. The style was brilliant and I didnt even know that Bill Nye the Science Guy would play your game :D (And just between the both of us, I can just do blocks as well)
It reminds me game called "Colobot", I play it very often very I was young, this is similar. Create it in 3 days is good work :)
I'm not generally a fan of intentionally complicated interfaces. I'm not afraid of text (I've played my share of MUDs in my day), but since we're already moving around and selecting with mouse and keyboard, I can't say I enjoy switching to text input.
That said, while there isn't that much to do, the things that are there look very polished. The visuals are great (nice colour scheme), the music suits it very well. I wish there was more to play, cause I would play it. Nice work!
A neat concept! It was annoying that typing isn't differentiated with movement, and also when entering a command the text box loses focus. Other than that, the graphics were pleasant. This was a cool entry.
This game should totally win the Innovation category. It's not for everyone, but if one is even a little familiar with the command line, it makes for an interesting mechanic to control characters with. I'm interested to see how this game will further develop.
Also, I'm jealous of the CLI implementation and curved screen effect.
You've done a great job with the atmosphere of the game. The effects, graphics, and music fit together quite well.
I love using the Linux terminal, so the addition was quite welcome. I can imagine if the game was bigger it would make great use of this asset.
I would of loved for more game play, but time constraints. :)
Maybe I missed it, but it would be cool if there was a key shortcut to return the cursor to the terminal quickly.
I really hope you work on this more. I would be interested to see what it looks like when it is finally finished. Great job.
The visuals are fantastic. There's a decent base for good gameplay here, though I think having to control everything with the command line can get overwhelming once you have a few more drones - maybe the ability to write scripts to automate your drones could be a fun mechanic?
All in all, good prototype you could probably base a great game on.
The game concept is very nice and I would definitely like to see more content with this style.
You've certainly created a fantastic look and feel to your entry. Sadly the playability doesn't quite live up to it. I followed the instructions you provide above but I wasn't able to harvest anything. I am guessing this is just an example of something that was incomplete. I would be very interested to see where this goes if you plan on developing it further as you've certainly got a proof-of-concept with regards to style!
Visually stunning game. Love the concept you were going after. Seems to me, you could really make a complete game out of this. Great work!
Are you seriously have less 20 votes?? It's impossible! Your game are great and i don't have another words! Good job!
