Interesting concept, though I don’t think there was anyone else playing while I tested it. I really liked the simplistic visuals, they worked well for the game.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD38 → Group Traffic Control

Couldn't seem to join a game :\
Too bad, I saw nobody. I like the principle, but it's a little slow when playing alone.
Multiplayer is always a tough sell in a jam. Online multiplayer especially due to how much time it takes to get it up and running in comparison to local multiplayer. You need many people to play at the same time and like everyone else I wasn't lucky in that regard either. There's little point playing this alone, but I did anyways.
Some technical points. The roads exhibit a lot of z-fighting, i.e they flicker due to being too close to the ground. The GUI isn't super clear about constructing buildings. Basically it should show a grayed out button for buying a house with the price show too. In fact the price should be visible at all times. It is important information.
I do like using the road network and the traffic lights for competitive antics. The opponent has a direct route to a workplace? Add an intersection or two to force them to deal with the traffic lights. Then add a house next to theirs so any traffic optimization they do also benefit you.
Cool idea, but making an AI would have been a better use of dev time I think.
There was a time when I could disable traffic lights for my path, but constantly put the other player on a standstill by having a traffic light constantly on the red light. The orange car opponent got stuck for a long while. Additionally, when making money, it seems that I was hitting the maximum 5/5, but the money counter rarely went up. I don't know if you have to wait longer to make more money from the workplace, but there needs to be an indicator of some sort to let the player know how many times a car has to go into a workplace in order to make the cash.
Other than that, I thought the graphics looked pleasant, colourwise. The music was okay; very minimalistic and didn't really work for a game of this demeanour. It needs more of that traffic/city vibe to it. Sound effects for the cars, making money at the workplace, etc, would also be great. I didn't see any players when I played, but I might try to play this with my team later.

All right, I tried to join a multiplayer game with a teammate and me, but it says the game ends in 47 minutes. So we have to wait an hour? How do we ensure we're actually playing with or against each other?
Hi everyone! Thanks for playing! Yeah, a multiplayer game is a bit tricky. XD
@huvaakoodia Yeah! Keeping the housing option, but having it grayed out is a great suggestion!
@random-storykeeper, One needs to click on the work place in order to collect the money. Otherwise it will just sit there. =P Your feedback on the audio is duly noted. Mmm ... The server assigns teams in an alternating fashion. The larger of the two score indicators in the upper left hand corner indicates your team color. So if you and your friend see a different color as a larger color, then you're on opposite teams. You can just play even if the game is already part way through -- you don't really need to wait for a new game. We were hoping there would be enough of the potential for the game to swing that one still has a fighting chance even if some time has been lost. =)
It was a bit slow for me. But it's not about me it's about the game! as such I see what you were going for and I applaud you! You had good art, sound, and mechanic. Just not my type of game. Good Job!
I like the idea of battling city-planners, but really the smallness of the starting world (and was I really playing another human or groups of) made it a very slow battle over a single traffic light and it took really quite some time to get 5 credits to just build a single road. The general idea is really cool though but I think as a first step the world need to start a bit more complex or that you be given a bit more credits when you join so you can do some planning and get something going.
Very interesting concept. The game works well and looks great. I would have enjoyed more resource management and growth gameplay, I guess that was the intent but I never managed to build something while I played.
Ah, I really wish there had been other players while I was playing. I had some difficulties figuring out when I could build what. The music loop was perhaps a bit short, but the idea is really nice and I think I will have to ask a few workmates to try it out with me tomorrow just for kicks.
Very nice concept :)
Interesting idea, but its a bit slow moving. Also, the game seemed to bug out every once in awhile and just start building roads and homes for me, spending the money that, again, takes awhile to get. Its a nice concept though for an LD game.
Really great game! I played through about half of a game, and I stopped with eight houses and five industrial buildings (the enemy only had one house still). I feel like either making the money collect automatically or having it give some visual indication that it needed to be clicked on would be extremely helpful. I know it says this directly in the help section, but I feel like a lot of people will miss it, especially after watching my enemy stay at around two for the majority of the game.
I like the concept and that fact that you did multiplayer and are auto matching people is great. that said, I found it confusing and wasn't sure what I was doing :(
I liked the simple graphics, reminded me a bit of Minimetro.
At first I was very confused. But then I couldn't stop and I was getting angry with my cars for changing jobs on the other side of town then built them a road. 10/10 would commute again.
