Wooh!! What a great game! Impressive mood you have created (music makes the Differenz). Love the calm gameplay mechanism. Respawn points are also great and the unexpected ending give the game an excellent touch. for your entry. Keep up the great work! Bonus points for godot engine :sunglasses:!
The graphics were great, and the music was too. I thought i got stuck at a few points, but you really sorted out the potential softlocks. I thought that with the addition of some sound effects the game could really shine, but otherwise, a nice game, fellas!

I was pretty blown away by the amount of content you managed to pack in here!
I love how the only thing blocking your progression was your lack of items, it really feels quite satisfying to get the next upgrade and then just be able to easily pass through areas you once were challenged by.
The movement felt smooth and the music was great.
I wasn't a huge fan of the player character, but the graphics themselves were great. All the game really needs is sound effects.
With some extra content and veriety, this could become something really cool.

Neat game. The graphics look really nice, with a great level of detail and variety. The background also looks very good. The music is also nice, but it could use some sound effects. The psuedo-3D effect works quite well and it's cool getting upgrades at the game progresses. It's pretty unintuitive how you need an additional item to get across gaps the are small enough for you to jump over, though.

Interesting game. It really suggest the sense of exploration and progression. The level design is correct, although I felt it was a little bit unfair in the "desert" area. The hitboxes are bigger than they should be, resulting in several unpredictable hits that lead to frustration. And sometimes you could find yourself stuck in some area not knowing how to go further or get back to explore some other area in order to refresh your thoughts a bit.
Anyways, good job!
Cool little game, it reminds me of Toejam and Earl a lot. I dig the little wind thingies pushing you up, it's especially satisfying when you have to use many of them to get over the spikes.
Sometimes it is a bit unclear when an area is too high up to jump to or not. The music is very fitting.

Excellent work! That music sets a really nice mood and the controls doesn't feel weird but in the desert it gets a bit difficult. Also nice work on the checkpoints and unlimited life.
Really excellent stuff here. Despite the graphics being around 8-bit level, the whole world feels very nicely fleshed out, and I really enjoy the fact that several areas were built with multiple levels in mind and jumping as part of the play mechanics.
It also has a point of completion as well, making it what I would consider a full game, so excellent job getting something out within the deadline that definitely feels like a solid game.

Fun game. I played to get the key and it had enough gameplay to keep me going the whole time. Overall very good.
Woah, I love the calm atmosphere of the game!
This is an impressive game for the time constraints. The mechanics worked well and the item upgrades were fun to play with. I really enjoyed the map design where you went to various sections and then returned back home with a new thing to try a new area. The music lent a great feel to the game. My biggest complaint is that it ended.
Liked it! Didn't love the unforgiving hitboxes but it seemed pretty solid, and had nice atmosphere!

This was short, but quite a lot of fun! I really liked the level design and the mini-metroidvania feel, and there were some cool puzzly parts like figuring out that you could push the blocks around. The graphics were quite nice, from the terrain sprites to the cloudy background, and the music was excellent (probably the best music I've encountered so far this ludum dare).
There were a few polish issues, such as: - There were no sound effects. Sound effects are a really easy way to give the player feedback and add polish, so I was kind of sad that I moved around, jumped, and swung my axe in silence. - The perspective was a little weird. For example, I didn't understand why I couldn't move down at the beginning until after I got the bridge and moved horizontally across a gap (it was kind of hard to even see the bridge in the first place since the player is pretty much right on top of it). It was also a little difficult to judge where you were to avoid landing on spikes. - The box pushing was a little wonky. If you walked next to the box without touching it, sometimes it moved a bit anyways. - The music sometimes abruptly came in and out when moving to different areas. Some sort of fade would have been nice.
These are all fairly minor issues, though. My biggest wish is simply that there was more: right now you have a great starting point for a game, but the mechanics aren't really explored that much so overall it feels a little sparse. However, for a jam game made in 72 hours, this is a really good effort, and I would definitely play an expanded version of this game. Nice job!
The graphics are nice and cute, It's a fun game overall. Good job!
Solid little game, very Zelda esque. Music was great, though it could have used some more sound effects and a bit more polish overall. Looks great, and really effectively captured the sense of exploration and unlocking new areas without feeling like it was holding my hand.
