LD38 — A Small World

Spaceworm - Defend a sacred tree from worms invading your planet by 5Mixer 2017-05-13T15:52:20Z

Very cool game! The music was pretty cool and fitting, and the gameplay was pretty unique.

Only problem I did have though is that when using a spell I couldn't use WASD. Using Firefox 53.0 (64-bit) if that helps for debugging.

SUPER METROARIO by puppetmaster 2017-05-16T03:07:26Z

Physics felt really floaty and sluggish, and the camera lags behind a little too much. The music was pretty dope though, and the game itself is pretty creative and good. Also really cool to see someone else using Godot!

EAT by djfariel 2017-05-16T02:31:05Z

Really cool arcade-style game, I really enjoyed playing it! I did find it kinda hard to figure out which direction the lasers were coming from though.

Smalltrek by impbox 2017-05-14T03:15:18Z

Very rare to see a game made with Nim :O

Game crashes if I click it, I get the following error: ``` ./smalltrek.x86_64: symbol lookup error: ./smalltrek.x86_64: undefined symbol: SDL_CaptureMouse ``` Running Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS (64 bit)

Game runs fine if I don't click it though, and thankfully it saves my progress.

Beyond that, the game looks really nice, plays very well and has good music. Surprising amount of content for an LD entry, and the warp drive looks really cool. Trying to land on the right planet when they're swaying around is kinda annoying though.

Iceburg by Piller Yann 2017-05-16T02:24:33Z

Amazing voice acting and incredible penguin genocide simulator I give this a :penguin:/10

In all seriousness though, this game shows a lot of polish and has a Linux build to boot (yay penguins!) Only thing that really needs improvement is the camera.

Supernova by Veralos 2017-05-14T02:53:21Z

Really well made game! The graphics were pretty good and the music sounded nice. The platforming felt very tight and easy to control. One issue I have with this game is that having to restart from the beginning of each planet every time you die was annoying.

I ended up having too much fun punting aliens and starved to death

10/10

'Tis a small world by Snobox Studio 2017-05-14T03:11:30Z

Very cool looking visual style.

I wish that the camera rotated a bit faster or used a camera system like a first person shooter(rotates with mouse so that crosshair is always at the center). It's also kinda hard to see enemies in the water.

Of Course I Remember You! by GaiusJulius 2017-05-15T21:21:08Z

This is the funniest game I've played so far. I really like the concept, it's very creative.

Perfection, Or Nothing! by AncientEntity 2017-05-13T16:21:24Z

Really neat concept that was executed pretty well! Probably one of the most creative ideas I've seen so far.

Weird Cubes by Justus Pousi 2017-05-16T03:42:53Z

Very cool entry with really creative puzzles! The graphics, music, and sound effects all worked very well to give a nice feel too. However, there are a few issues I do have with the game: * I wish that I had better control of the character while in the air. * Sometimes if I'm up against something I can't jump * Boxes activating tiles while I'm holding the box is kinda annoying

other than the above criticisms, this is probably among my favorite entries because of its creativity.

As another note, I can vouch that the Linux build works fine! :penguin:

LD42 — Running out of space

Running Misadventures by aemiliu5 2018-09-01T00:56:09Z

My biggest gripe with this game is that the controls feel kinda weird. I don't like how I can't jump from a slide, and I can't control how high my jumps are. The boulders seems to appear in random locations, even right in front of me. There's places in the game where I can't actually see whats ahead of me and I have to take a leap of faith assuming that there will be somewhere to land. It's hard to tell if some of the tiles are in the foreground or the background (specifically, the background rock tiles look like they should be solid).

The music in this game is really good and other than my above complaints the game feels pretty solid. Good job!
