Didn't load. D:

I had some graphics issues, but I'm pretty sure that's just my old laptop causing the problem. This was still impressive, nice job!

nuclearchocolate 2016-12-12 05:27

Nice music and the gameplay was rather fun! Although, the graphics were rather plain, and this game doesn't fit the theme too well. I can see how you tried to fit this into the theme, as each level is one room, but there is more than one room throughout the game.

kudukuforgiveus 2016-12-12 05:30

Decent presentation and interesting theming. I didn't find the puzzles unique or interesting after playing a few levels past the tutorial.

zoopei 2016-12-12 05:32

I just realized one thing I forgot to add before submitting... In the level editor, if you place an activator, it gives you a popup saying that you can connect the button or press Lshift to cancel... Cancelling doesn't work. Just click on the activator itself to cancel. If it is a regular button, it will automatically delete.

zoopei 2016-12-12 05:35

Sorry if you thought the graphics where plain. I was thinking more about the mechanics and level design during development than the graphics, and the program I used to create the textures I did have(Krita)is a program I am pretty new to. I'm also only 12 years old, so I'll probably get better at textures later on in life.

vadim-ivshin 2016-12-12 11:13

Thanks for the great game! Nice graphics and color palette.

quaternius 2016-12-12 17:30

I liked it! some of the text looked out of the screen sometimes.

zoopei 2016-12-12 17:35

If you are having problems with text going out of the screen, just fullscreen the game. It is not a problem with my game, but rather the way it is embedded in this window.

zoopei 2016-12-12 17:35

Or a window

timgarbos 2016-12-12 17:40

Cool to mix mouse buttons and stepping on buttons. I didn't make it all the way to the end. If you're only 12 years old this is quite impressive!

Some minor tweaks that would make it a lot easier for me to enjoy. (can't speak for others)

- Walk speed should be 4 times as fast. It's about puzzles and buttons, not walking.
- combine the buttons a bit more before introducing new ones.
- Forget the enemy for now (or introduce him/she way later)

artsicle 2016-12-12 19:39

I like the graphics

stefanie899 2016-12-12 19:41

Interesting game, however the movement was a little slow for me to stay interested throughout the whole thing.

wujood 2016-12-13 21:42

Nice little puzzle game :) Great work for 72 hours!

palmish 2016-12-13 21:56

I like the graphics too. Similar to Grow Home's naive happy style. Moving very slowly with tank controls is a weird choice, but it's really not that bad when the levels are short and there are buttons to press. It gets old pretty quickly though. Fortunately the enemies definitely make things more interesting. There are a good amount of different mechanics, but the game could have used more polish instead. The intro sequence could have been sacrificed for more time on polish. There was a level with an elevator that was hard to beat because the button ended up going off screen (in full screen).

zoopei 2016-12-14 04:42

wujood, I didn't make this in 72 hours. I made it for the compo, 48 hours. But since I slept and took some breaks, my game was made in about 28 hours.

zoopei 2016-12-14 04:42

But thanks for the comment!

zoopei 2016-12-14 04:45

Palmish, the button went off the screen on purpose. I specifically placed it there so the camera bobbing would take it out of view. I did this so the level would have more of a challenge, with sort of a timing part.

zoopei 2016-12-14 04:46

But thanks for the constructive criticism.

blushine 2016-12-15 05:50

Cute little puzzle game. I liked the graphics and audio a lot, the robots and monsters were great! The combination of clicking buttons and robot using pressure plates was a pretty neat idea

The robot actually seemed to go way too fast for me, maybe because I had a low framerate. You could probably fix that by doing something like "velocity += force * Time.deltaTime" instead of "velocity += force".

I also ended up getting stuck on the elevator level after my robot fell off and didn't respawn. http://i.imgur.com/AkICDpT.png

Also, if you could upload some Windows/Mac builds (along with the web version), that would be great for those of us with crappy laptops. Unity's downloadable builds tend to run significantly faster than webGL builds.

peterthehe 2016-12-15 05:52

The gameplay was simple and fun. It was quite well executed too! The tutorial could've looked better though (though v well done for actually getting one in in 48 hours).

jimbly 2016-12-15 06:10

Quite a bit of content, nicely done! I was able to get through all of the levels, but the one with crates gave me a lot of difficulty, I kept kicking them through walls or something.

hoqjed 2016-12-15 06:23

Nice little game. For future reference you could do with a LOT less text. Like even just "click buttons" and "walk on switches" would be more than enough.

zoopei 2016-12-15 15:57

BluShine, hmm... that's odd. I was using delta time. Maybe the robot was going the same speed for you, but the distance between the robot's last position and current position for last frame and current frame was too much and it made the robot look fast? Sorry for the low framerate, though.

zoopei 2016-12-15 15:59

BluShine, also, if your robot fails to reset the level, just press escape and return to the main menu. From there after you are in the level selection area, press RShift as much as you can, then the right arrow as much as you can, then enter. This will reset the level essentially.

zoopei 2016-12-15 16:00

I'll upload some more builds whenever I have time. Probably sometime today.

zoopei 2016-12-15 16:35

I might forget and never get around to uploading more builds, though. So don't expect me to.

smaganik 2016-12-15 23:40

Lots of text could be replaced with some scripted tutorials, but still very creative concept!

fafastudio 2016-12-21 05:30

Great animation and art, the gameplay was interesting but maybe too slow.

keckles 2016-12-27 05:12

pretty good

starlight-glimmer-is-best-poney 2016-12-27 22:08

This is... impressive for 48 hours.

jramell 2016-12-30 07:22

Nice puzzle game! It's quite relaxing. I liked the mood you set, and sound effects are fitting.

However, I think dialog text could be shorter. For example, when teaching about the second kind of button I think the part that says that it's kind of a combination of two other systems does not contribute a lot to player understanding. Also, for this second kind of button it would be easier for the player to have it be a different color. Finally, the game would benefit from better feedback when an enemy touches you.

Overall, a pretty good entry.

seconddimension 2016-12-30 23:34

Interesting game with a unique feel.

jelinib 2017-01-01 06:37

I don't really have any new critiques that were already mentioned above, but... Story, progressing tutorial levels, multiple puzzles and puzzle mechanics, multiple rigged 3D characters, music, and a level editor? Wow. This is an amazing amount of work for so little time! I look forward to seeing what your next game will be like. Nice job!

maxim 2017-01-01 12:02

A fairly good puzzle game. I got stuck on the level with the two glass floors. I stepped on the last platform but nothing happened. Overall I think you need more puzzle elements to make this engaging.

lucas-ferrantelli 2017-01-02 09:47

Nice gameplay ! very nice game

paidgeek 2017-01-02 16:47

Quite an ambitious project for Compo. I enjoyed it. Wish shine moved a little faster.

jperlin 2017-01-02 18:43

For such simple graphics the game looks quite nice! I really like the dirty glass look. There is also more gameplay mechanics to this game than almost any other I played here. Nicely done!

pixlwalkr 2017-01-02 18:44

Nice game with lots of contents and features.
