LD37 — One room

Withstand by PaidGEEK 2017-01-02T16:18:00

Very fun game! The scrolling in the leaderboards in very slow though, maybe have it scroll half of a name every time you scroll one unit on your mouse? Currently the middle mouse button is pretty much useless in the leaderboards. The mechanics work well, but it is very hard to dodge the spheres that shoot red bullets. Overall, this is a good entry.

Claustrophobia by jperlin 2017-01-03T00:44:00

WHAT... THE... F**K
The theme could have fit better, but it still fit. The sound effects where pretty wierd and the music was the three words I said at the top of this comment. However, the graphics where good and the concept was something like nothing I have never seen. It is really weird though... But I guess it's supposed to be. It's only your first ludum dare though, just like me.

SPRITESWAP by Serious Table 2016-12-12T04:39:00

I can dash out of the world, but other than that, great game!

Punchies by Sos 2016-12-12T05:45:00

I like your secrets and all your rooms. But... Rooms. The theme is one room, not multiple rooms. The game is pretty fun though.

Toy Box Metropolis by SecondDimension 2016-12-31T03:45:00

5/5 five stars! Amazing! The graphics are really nice, you guys chose a great color pallet, they're clean with the nice vector art. The music is great and the sound effects are nice. The theme could have fit better, but it still fit nicely. By this, I mean anything could be in one room. But something that had to happen in a room would fit the theme better. The game was really fun too. This is the best entry I have rated so far!

Room King by Mnemusyne 2016-12-12T16:13:00

Great game! Amazing playful graphics, smooth gameplay, this is really fun!

Broken Breakout? by timgarbos 2016-12-13T04:53:00

It's very easy to get the ball out of the level if you move the room off-center a lot. But other than that bug, the game has an interesting idea, and fun gameplay.

Boats Away by Jordan 2016-12-31T03:08:00

Really great entry! However the ending was a little odd. The soldiers kill the natives guarding the boat, then they start moving around randomly very quickly, and then the play floats off in the river say oh no. Didn't quite understand that.

Rummet by UrbanHelsing 2017-01-02T17:13:00

It's very fun, but it's annoying when you have to check all of your 5 keys on all of your 10 locks and then you finish checking every lock with every key, and it turns out none of them go with eachother. The graphics are realistic, and the audio is nice. The theme could have fit better, you are going out of prisoner rooms, and into big sleeping spaces, up in sort of attics. There are doors, etc. But overall it is a good game.

5/5 stars! Beautiful graphics, fun gameplay, relaxing music and sound effects, fits the theme well, very original idea, everything about this is great!

Bat Cave by schizoid2k 2016-12-12T04:36:00

The unity link doesn't actually work. You have to provide the assets, etc next to the exe. Unless there is just a bug with my browser download and it did not download correctly, I highly recommend you submit your game to the jam, because I saw some of your posts, and the game looked really fun.

Tank battle(for lack of a better name) by Senor Salty 2017-01-01T22:20:00

Kind of fun, but the sound effect suck, the controls are hard to use since you cannot press "D" then press "A" right afterwards a lot of the time, not a very original game, I don't get how it's supposed to be just one room, the graphics aren't too good, and the audio really really sucks. Did I mention that the audio is bad?

Critters by Farelle 2016-12-12T17:16:00

"you know you want to play it ;D cause it’s so cute :3". Yes it does look cute... but the categories innovation, fun, theme, graphics, audio, humor, and mood all get 0 stars. This means that overall gets 5 stars. Just kidding, I haven't even played or reviewed it yet XD

I just realized one thing I forgot to add before submitting... In the level editor, if you place an activator, it gives you a popup saying that you can connect the button or press Lshift to cancel... Cancelling doesn't work. Just click on the activator itself to cancel. If it is a regular button, it will automatically delete.

Sorry if you thought the graphics where plain. I was thinking more about the mechanics and level design during development than the graphics, and the program I used to create the textures I did have(Krita)is a program I am pretty new to. I'm also only 12 years old, so I'll probably get better at textures later on in life.

If you are having problems with text going out of the screen, just fullscreen the game. It is not a problem with my game, but rather the way it is embedded in this window.

Or a window

The Room in The Ocean by zoopei 2016-12-14T04:42:00

wujood, I didn't make this in 72 hours. I made it for the compo, 48 hours. But since I slept and took some breaks, my game was made in about 28 hours.

The Room in The Ocean by zoopei 2016-12-14T04:42:00

But thanks for the comment!

The Room in The Ocean by zoopei 2016-12-14T04:45:00

Palmish, the button went off the screen on purpose. I specifically placed it there so the camera bobbing would take it out of view. I did this so the level would have more of a challenge, with sort of a timing part.

The Room in The Ocean by zoopei 2016-12-14T04:46:00

But thanks for the constructive criticism.

The Room in The Ocean by zoopei 2016-12-15T15:57:00

BluShine, hmm... that's odd. I was using delta time. Maybe the robot was going the same speed for you, but the distance between the robot's last position and current position for last frame and current frame was too much and it made the robot look fast? Sorry for the low framerate, though.

The Room in The Ocean by zoopei 2016-12-15T15:59:00

BluShine, also, if your robot fails to reset the level, just press escape and return to the main menu. From there after you are in the level selection area, press RShift as much as you can, then the right arrow as much as you can, then enter. This will reset the level essentially.

I'll upload some more builds whenever I have time. Probably sometime today.

The Room in The Ocean by zoopei 2016-12-15T16:35:00

I might forget and never get around to uploading more builds, though. So don't expect me to.
