Nice little game, well done.

I didn't encounter any bug, it works fine. The graphics are good, I like the pastel tones. Maybe a bit too relaxing, you should accelerate the train a bit and give the players more time constraints, like time based bonus on random train stations (to oblige the player to move his train quickly to a certain location). It took me some time to get that you can change the tracks but when I understood it, I was like "Oh! That's cool!".

Overall, it is a good game, 4/5. Oh! And dat choo-choo sound XD

Loved the zoom out idea to make the game remain in the screen !

Nice cool relaxing game, with a bit of thought to have to make money... or coal !

Sound effects are funny.

It's a big deal that you made a game with these mechanics in such a short timeframe. Everything works pretty well and it looks rather like a board game - it just needs balancing to make it more fun.

Love the choo-choo sound. The game seems very polished, the graphic style fits in quite good.

Looking forward to see you finish the bigger thing.

seledorn 2014-12-08 10:31

A bit to slow for my taste but nice over all. The fact that you named stuff Lorem Ipsum & that train sound effect are hilarious!

vulture-tamer 2014-12-08 10:34

haha, awesome game! Best sound effects!! chou chouuuuu

you should be able to click on stations to see what they are buying though :D

once you find a profitable rout you could do that one for ever :p which isn't that fun :p

Nice game. I loved the graphics, gameplay and the choo choo sound xD. As stated by caporaltito it needs more speed on the train to get harder :)

tonasz 2014-12-08 10:54

@everybody: Thank you for playing and comments. You can make train faster with Q key, but there should be screen indicator.
@caporaltito: The space between Goods and Buy wagon is where Passengers option where, but I abandoned it, because I didn't have enough time. I was planning something you said - time limited quest of transporting people.
@seledorn: I even tried to put Snowman on map but it's not as noticeable as I wanted :)
@Vulture Tamer: I could implement day/night cycle changing prices.

Good work! It really addictive. I haven't seen any bugs and this game has such a big potential.

liamlime 2014-12-08 18:54

Oh wow, this is super neat! I love games like the Patrician series, and this has a similar vibe - at least the buying and selling part. I like it a lot. And heck, the train "chugga" sound effect is amazing. :D

armynator 2014-12-08 19:02

Love that train sound, pretty creepy

ali312 2014-12-08 19:02

Omg, those sounds! Very nice!)

benjamin-soule 2014-12-08 19:14

This is a great start I had fun moving my train around the different cities. My friend told me about Transarctica ( Amiga/Atari era ) Now I want to try this one too maybe you coud have a look at it, sounds very inspiring.

The buy/sell dialog could be a bit clearer as I never could figure out how much of a particular item I had in my possession when I wanted to sell it. I like how the screen zooms out to show more of the world as the train travels. The train graphics have a nice graphical style to them and the sounds are pretty cool.

syawqy 2014-12-09 01:36

so, you keep everything on the screen by zooming out, interesting

renatopp 2014-12-09 15:13

It is a nice prototype using a good idea, still not a good game tough. Anyway, I want to see more of this =) Good job.

Hi there. Hugely impressed by amount of work in your game. Like the sound/vocal effects! Felt a bit random making choices, bookmarked for a revisit. Good job!

leffe108 2014-12-10 22:31

An interesting take on making a memory game (figuring out which connections that make money) and some fun puzzle work to get your train to the right destination.

After finding a connection with 2:3 ratio I stopped looking for something better. Maybe make the payment go down for a site as you deliver more and more there, forcing you to look for new connections.

nice sound and theme :)

grid96 2014-12-11 12:29

Cool chilling game. Makes fun playing it.

thopis 2014-12-13 02:35

Sound effects are the best part!

phocker 2014-12-14 06:13

pretty cool game - liked the graphics and the strategy - will play again

ljdp 2014-12-14 15:29

I'm impressed with the amount of mechanics you've implemented in just 48 hours. I ended up visiting about 5 stations before I found a favourable trade, and once you've found that there is no incentive to explore further. It also feels weird to trade for coal, I would like to see a currency instead (and less starting coal). Still, great work!

dusho 2014-12-17 19:17

the UI felt a bit confusing.. but maybe it's just me

sharky 2014-12-20 18:23

Cool game but I filled my limited storages and my limited train cars within secs, you need to increase those numbers a good bit.
